"A little over a thousand..."

Upon hearing Tian Zhen say this, Zhao Heng felt uneasy; it seed the man's financial situation was worse than he had imagined.

"Dr. Zhao, the hospital has a tumor relief fund. For the situation with bed number 4, we should be able to apply for so fee reductions, right?"

Tian Zhen said.

"The fee reductions from the tumor relief fund have specific applications. Bed number 4 must use the latest chemotherapy drugs, as well as biological therapy costs, which are not covered by the reductions. If that's the case, even if we report it, at most there would just be so reductions for bed and treatnt fees, which wouldn't help much."

Zhao Heng shook his head slightly.

"What about social assistance channels? How about we contact reporters, get so dia coverage, and then raise donations from society?"

Tian Zhen thought for a mont and said.

Cases like this girl's are far too common in the hospital. Although the hospital has so relief funds, their impact is quite limited. Moreover, given the complexity of this girl's tumor, future treatnt costs certainly can't be resolved with just one or two instances of aid.

In such circumstances, the only option is to pursue social aid channels.

"Social assistance channels? Reporters?"

Thinking over what Tian Zhen said, Zhao Heng realized that might be the only way.

"Alright, I understand. For the next few days, try not to bring up the expenses with the patient's family. Proceed with necessary treatnts, and if costs exceed limits, charge them to the departnt's account for now."

Zhao Heng thought about it and said.

These treatnt expenses are not a small sum, they cannot be resolved with just one or two instances of aid. Tian Zhen seems to be right; utilizing dia influence and social donation channels is the only way.

But how does one contact the dia?

Zhao Heng personally had a dia account, but using it for fundraising felt inappropriate.

In our country, fundraising for dical expenses has a complete set of procedures and rules; it's not sothing just anyone can do.

Who should I contact?

"Do you know any reporters?"

Zhao Heng asked Tian Zhen.

"No, I don't."

Tian Zhen thought for a mont, then shook her head slightly. She was in the hospital all day where she couldn't possibly know any reporters!

"Dr. Zhao, didn't you get interviewed last ti? The reporter who interviewed you, do you still have their contact?"

After thinking, Tian Zhen suddenly asked Zhao Heng.

"You an Reporter Wei?"

Zhao Heng said.

Tian Zhen was referring to Wei Wei, the attractive journalist who had interviewed Zhao Heng last ti, with plans for an in-depth interview which Zhao Heng politely declined.

Truthfully, his impression of Wei Wei was one of profound skill.

This impression was neither good nor bad; Zhao Heng simply felt Wei Wei was exceptionally capable.

"Yes, if you reach out to Reporter Wei, she surely has connections."

Tian Zhen said.

"Got it, you can carry on."

Zhao Heng nodded.

After Tian Zhen left, Zhao Heng sat down and took out his phone.

After the interview last ti, Wei Wei proactively added Zhao Heng on WeChat, also leaving her number.

Just as he opened WeChat and was about to find Wei Wei's account, he noticed an unread ssage. The sender, wasn't it Wei Wei?!

This was indeed a coincidence; no, not a coincidence when Zhao Heng checked the ti — it was 8:40 AM. Apparently, since starting work in the morning, Wei Wei had already sent him a ssage on WeChat. He had been busy working, hence hadn't seen it.

Zhao Heng opened WeChat, to find Wei Wei inviting him for an in-depth interview and dinner for further discussion.

This was indeed proactive...

To Zhao Heng, people in the dia circle seed to speak and act in ways quite different from ordinary working folks like him.

Thinking it over, Zhao Heng replied with a single word.

"Okay."

After replying, Zhao Heng set the matter aside, put his phone back in his pocket, and resud work.

6 PM.

Inside a restaurant near the hospital.

Zhao Heng sat facing Wei Wei.

"What made you suddenly decide to accept my interview?"

Sitting across from Zhao Heng, Wei Wei looked at him with a smile and said.

Today she dressed very casually, yet still appeared quite sharp and capable, exuding the aura of a strong professional woman.

This kind of aura was very familiar to Zhao Heng; both Xu Man Ni and Song Chen shared this strong woman aura and personality.

Truthfully, since that interview when Zhao Heng declined her in-depth interview, it actually piqued her interest in Zhao Heng. The more she explored various channels to understand Zhao Heng, the greater her curiosity about him grew.

In just a few months, he went from being a surgical assistant at Eastern Hospital, to becoming an integral doctor at the newly established dical center. Not just a dispensable role, but a pillar of support, as Wei Wei could discern.

More shockingly, in Sun Xinxin's treatnt, Zhao Heng's actions astounded everyone, as nobody knew how he managed to invite Professor Li Hongwei from Yanjing University School of Life Sciences to join Sun Xinxin's treatnt.

To Wei Wei now, Zhao Heng was a huge enigma!

"I need a favor from you. About the interview, handle it as you see fit."

Zhao Heng stated directly.

He felt, when communicating with soone as experienced and incredibly smart as Wei Wei, being direct was better.

He wasn't good at subtle maneuvers, acknowledging he couldn't match Wei Wei's dia savvy.

Given the situation, it was better to get to the point, be straightforward.

"Oh? What is it?"

Seeing Zhao Heng be so direct, Wei Wei beca interested. In the dia circle, she had seen plenty of scheming, everyone called each other 'teacher', though behind the scenes it was all about mutual exploitation.

She found Zhao Heng's directness intriguing.

"Here's the situation..."

Zhao Heng briefly explained the girl's, Miaomiao's, circumstances.

"Is this what you need my help with?"

Listening to Zhao Heng's explanation, Wei Wei was sowhat surprised. His actions were outside her expectations, but within her analysis, very typical of Zhao Heng.

"Yes, you're the only dia person I could think of."

Zhao Heng nodded and said.

"No problem, so should we discuss the details of the interview then?"

Wei Wei agreed forthrightly, for Zhao Heng what seed daunting, was rather simple with her resources and connections.

"Thank you."

Zhao Heng looked at Wei Wei with so astonishnt, then said.

He didn't expect Wei Wei to agree so readily.

"Did you think we in the dia are all without conscience?"

Seeing Zhao Heng's sowhat surprised expression, Wei Wei smiled and said.

"Not exactly; I've had bad experiences in this area before."

Zhao Heng said.

He referred to aiding soone before and his good intentions were misconstrued, causing him significant trouble.
