Old Master Yan looked frail and significantly thinned, appearing ill and weak.

His kind and benevolent face, however, harbored a touch of excitent from a long-awaited reunion.

He stood there pale, with an air of strained support, as if he were guarding sothing.

Yueqing had thought that her mories of her grandfather had faded...

After several years of brainwashing by the original host in the entertainnt circle, she should have hated the Yan Family! After all, when she had just crossed over, she always believed that the Yan Family controlled Yan Wang, forcing her to hand over every penny earned.

But now, the bond of blood relations surged from the depths of her veins. All her love and respect for her grandfather swelled up, breaking through the heavens!

How could this be the Old Master Yan whom the original host constantly complained about targeting her? It clearly was the grandfather who cherished her in the palm of his hand!

Why did he stop doting on the original host later?

Probably because he found out that his granddaughter had her "chip" switched...

Yueqing wasn’t particularly sentintal, but seeing her grandfather stumbling toward her, she couldn’t help but let big tears fall.

She ran to him, just like when she was little, dashing from outside the courtyard to her grandfather’s side.

So tender and small, crossing the distance of ti and space, finally able to stand shoulder to shoulder with the old man...

"It’s good that you’re back... it’s good that you’re back..." Old Master Yan’s voice was hoarse as he gently wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes, and he sighed with relief, "Grandfather was really afraid he wouldn’t wait until you returned..."

For the past two years, his health had deteriorated more and more, and he had been gravely ill several tis and had almost not made it through!

To prevent any mishaps with Yan Wang, Old Master Yan rejected Yan Kang’s suggestion to let the little guy recuperate at ho and instead kept him in the hospital all the ti.

After all, the hospital staff, who had been dealing with him for many years, would not be so easy to bribe; but bringing him ho, with so many unsafe factors, how could he, after losing his granddaughter, lose the unborn child she left behind?

Even though he really liked children, Old Master Yan never ntioned bringing Yan Wang back ho.

But starting this year, his health deteriorated even further. He always felt his days were numbered, afraid he wouldn’t wait until Yueqing returned, and even more afraid of not being able to protect Yan Wang! Therefore, he made an effort to visit the little guy in the hospital once a month.

Heaven rewards the diligent, and his granddaughter finally returned...

He could account for her after all!

Hearing these words, Yueqing couldn’t stop her tears: "I’m sorry... It’s my fault as an unfilial granddaughter for making Grandfather worry."

"We’re family, there’s no need for such formalities," Old Master Yan nodded, "Having you back, and Wangwang coming ho too, nothing could be better than this. Grandfather doesn’t know how happy he is!"

Yueqing’s eyes reddened even more.

She owed the old man...so much.

Not wanting her to continue feeling sad, Old Master Yan purposely looked at the three little radishes behind him, and gently changed the subject: "These two little friends... what shall I call them?"

He knew there were two little guests coming, but he didn’t know their nas.

Yan Wang assud an elder’s deanor: "Great-grandfather, they are Younger Brother Yan’s younger brother and Tang Tang’s younger sister. In the last episode of the show, they both recognized Mommy as their godmother, so they ca over to play at the house together this ti."

Old Master Yan, with Yueqing’s help, slowly walked up to the three children.

His murky old eyes gradually lit up.

Yan Wang was hospitalized, he was ill himself, and despite having children in the house, he could not enjoy the joy of family... Old Master Yan’s heart was filled with gloom.

He hadn’t expected to co back this ti to three of them?

The gloomy mood suddenly felt much better.

Tang Tang blinked her large eyes, her face lively: "Brother Wangwang, what should I call Grandfather?"

Yan Wang replied warmly, "The sa as , call him Great-grandfather."

"Great-grandfather~" Tang Tang’s voice was sweet as she smiled, revealing two dimples, "My na is Tang Tang~ Is Great-grandfather sick? He looks so weak."

Jun Yan lifted his eyelids.

Sick?

Wasn’t this hitting his familiar territory?

Little Iceberg spoke coolly: "The doctors in my family are good, why don’t they co and take a look at Great-grandfather?"

For the first ti, Yan Wang did not refuse and nodded in agreent: "That’s possible."

Old Master Yan had never expected that one day, he would be surrounded and cared for by three little cubs.

The joy of grandchildren around one’s knees... had he finally co to feel it?!

The elderly man with kind eyes and a gentle expression nodded repeatedly, "All good children! So well-behaved! Steward Yan, quickly take them to the courtyard for so sweets! Great-grandfather has prepared lots of snacks for you."

Three little ones huddled together, the room filled with laughter and happy voices.

Yan Wang: I didn’t say anything.

Jun Yan: I didn’t laugh either.

Tang Tang: So... do my brothers think I’m a chatterbox?

Yan Wang and Jun Yan: No, no, no, I didn’t say that!

With the company of the young children, Old Master Yan was in an extrely good mood.

After Steward Yan brought in plates of fruit, he discreetly walked to the corner and wiped away so tears.

Since Second Miss ca back, Old Master Yan has beco much more spirited!

He hadn’t been this happy in a long ti...

It’s just uncertain how long he can hold on like this?

Old Master Yan peeled fruits for the children with all the tenderness in his eyes, "These are grapes and jujubes grown by Great-grandfather himself. They ripen perfectly in August, very sweet."

He carefully peeled the fruit and fed a piece to Tang Tang.

The little girl’s eyes squinted with delight, "Wow, this is so tasty~"

Old Master Yan smiled broadly.

Girls are indeed lovable, just like Yueqing when she was little—obedient and sweet.

Yan Wang and Jun Yan were also well-behaved, but after all, they were boys, not to be spoiled excessively.

Let them peel their own fruits!

Yueqing sat off to the side, cracking walnuts, peeling the kernels, and adding them to a bowl, while chatting about family matters, "I heard from Steward Yan that these walnuts were just dried this year. They’re crisp and refreshing. Grandpa, how are your teeth, can you still chew them?"

"How could I not?" Old Master Yan stroked his beard, "I’ve only lost one tooth."

"You still need to see a doctor in ti," Yueqing insisted. "I’ll grind them into powder later and mix it with black sesa to make a paste for you to eat tonight."

"Ah?" Old Master Yan was startled, "There’s no at?"

"Still thinking about at! The doctor told you to eat less greasy food, but Steward Yan has caught you sneaking pork knuckles several tis," Yueqing shook her head. "I’ve co this ti specifically to supervise Grandpa!"

Old Master Yan’s feelings were mixed.

His pork knuckles...

But, his granddaughter could co back, and he would listen to whatever she said!

He nodded obediently, like a child, "Alright, alright, alright, Grandpa will listen to you!"

Steward Yan brought another plate of fruit, "Second Miss really knows how to talk sense, I’ve tried to persuade the Old Master so many tis, but he just won’t listen!"

Goodness! Complaining right in front of him?!

Old Master Yan shook his head, "I only eat it occasionally!"

"Occasionally lasting three days?" Steward Yan, not wanting to argue with the Old Master, simply smiled, "Second Miss, how long are you planning to stay this ti?"

Old Master Yan pretended to be indifferent, but his ears perked up.

Yueqing looked up, "I’ll stay for a month first, I need to keep a good eye on Grandpa’s health."

A month?! That long?! Such bliss~~~

Old Master Yan couldn’t help but speak up, "Yueqing, you ntioned before about retiring from your career..."

"Yes, I’ll definitely retire," Yueqing nodded, "There’s nothing good for over there."

"I see..." Old Master Yan smiled in relief, "As long as you have the ti! It’s just the right ti to co back and take charge of the Yan Family."
