Jun Qingng didn’t look at what dicine he had bought. She happily shuffled in her slippers to get so water.

To her, the dicine wasn’t important. What was important was Jiang Liu’s concern. As long as it was from him, she would love it!

Hearing the commotion, Guo Jia rushed out of her room, full of excitent.

"Is that Jiang Liu?! He didn’t forget the buns, did he?"

Her hair was a wild ss, like Zhang Fei’s, and she was wearing a T-shirt and denim shorts.

"Woah!"

The mont Guo Jia saw Jiang Liu, the cent wall around her heart cracked open.

She wanted to be in a relationship.

’No wonder my best friend runs over to his place every day. Turns out the guy is this handso—damn!’

A handso man and a beautiful woman—they really were a good match!

However, after staring for only a mont, Guo Jia’s gaze shifted to the paper bag on the table.

Jun Qingng carried a glass of water over and placed it in front of Jiang Liu.

"Thank you."

Jun Qingng glanced at Guo Jia and introduced her with a smile.

"Jiang Liu, this is the best friend I ntioned to you, Guo Jia."

"Hi, nice to et you. I’m Guo Jia."

Guo Jia greeted him with her eyes glued to the buns.

Jiang Liu raised an eyebrow. ’Is she talking to , or is she talking to the buns?’

So, he smiled and replied, "Hi, my na is Bun."

Guo Jia and Jun Qingng froze for a second.

Then they both burst out giggling.

"Jiang Liu, you’re hilarious."

Guo Jia couldn’t help but laugh.

Jun Qingng asked Jiang Liu with concern, "Have you had lunch? Why don’t you sit and eat with us?"

Besides genuine thoughtfulness, she also asked because she was worried he would just drop off the buns and leave. She wanted to spend a little more ti with him.

Jiang Liu shook his head.

"Not yet. I’ve been busy all day. I ca straight here right after I finished selling buns."

"Hey, handso, co on, let’s eat together!"

Guo Jia was the first to dig in, her table manners coarse.

"That’s just how she is. Don’t mind her, Jiang Liu," Jun Qingng said with a teasing smile.

"It’s fine."

Jun Qingng sat to Guo Jia’s left, intentionally keeping her distance from Jiang Liu.

She was sick and didn’t want to get him sick.

Being sick is awful!

In just over ten minutes, the buns on the table were all gone.

Guo Jia ate sixteen by herself, and Jiang Liu ate eighteen.

Because of her cold, Jun Qingng had no appetite and didn’t eat much. But the buns were so delicious that she still managed to eat six in a row.

That was already a lot for her.

Guo Jia let out a loud burp and flopped onto the sofa, groaning.

"I’m so stuffed... Ahh~ I can’t take it anymore... Quick, sobody save ~"

"Ah~ It’s over... Guo Jia is done for~"

Jiang Liu, sitting opposite her, was a little speechless.

"Guo Jia, why don’t you go to your room and sleep it off?"

Jun Qingng frowned. Her best friend was so embarrassing.

’And with Jiang Liu still here, too!’

"No way, no way! Mr. Jiang’s buns are too good! They’re amazing!"

"I’m gonna eat this many again next ti! Mr. Jiang, can I add you on WeChat?"

’You want to add him on WeChat?!’ Jun Qingng panicked.

’What do you think you’re doing?’

’You can guard against thieves day and night, but you can’t guard against the one in your own house.’

’Is she trying to steal my man?’

Jun Qingng looked at Jiang Liu, aggrieved.

Jiang Liu felt the atmosphere turn a little awkward.

He stood up, waved his hand, and said, "I have things to do this afternoon, so I’ll get going."

"Qingng, get so rest and keep your spirits up. I’ll pick up Tongtong after school today."

"Okay, Jiang Liu."

Jun Qingng nodded and walked Jiang Liu to the door. Suddenly, she asked, "Jiang Liu, are you heading back to Yangzhai Street?"

She really wanted to go back with him but didn’t know how to ask.

Jiang Liu finished putting on his shoes and shook his head. "Not right away. I’m planning to go to a dealership to buy a car. If there’s ti after, I’ll head back."

"You’re buying a car?"

Jun Qingng was surprised, then very happy.

Seeing Jiang Liu do better and better was what she wanted.

"Can you take with you?"

"I feel like I’m almost better now. I want to go out to clear my head and get so fresh air. It’ll help recover faster."

"Can I?"

Jun Qingng looked at Jiang Liu’s eyes expectantly.

Jiang Liu hesitated. "Well, if you co, I probably won’t have ti to take you ho. I won’t be free until I close the shop tonight."

It wasn’t that he found her troubleso, just that he had a lot of custors waiting for him.

She was sick, and she’d be running around the shop with him.

Jun Qingng’s eyes lit up. She said, "That sounds great! After we buy the car, we can go back to the shop together. You can focus on your work, and I’ll just walk around. When it’s five o’clock, I can even help you pick up Tongtong. I can just take a taxi ho myself tonight."

"I really don’t want to stay at ho. It feels so stuffy and miserable."

After hearing her out, Jiang Liu thought for a mont and agreed.

"Alright. But if you start feeling unwell, you have to tell imdiately. And you don’t need to take a taxi tonight. I’m free after work; it’ll only take a few minutes to drive you back."

He figured it wouldn’t be a bad idea to take Jun Qingng out. It had just rained, and the air outside was fresh, which would be good for her recovery.

"Mhm, I’ll listen to you!" Jun Qingng nodded excitedly, like an obedient child.

On the sofa, Guo Jia rolled her eyes.

’Here they go again, starting their act!’

’Are they seriously doing this PDA right in front of ?’

"Okay, I’ll go grab a few things. Give two minutes!"

"Alright, go on."

Jun Qingng zipped back to her bedroom.

She let her tied-up hair fall to her shoulders and pinned her curtain bangs to one side with a small blue clip. Then, she changed into a grayish-white dress, pairing it with a cream-white long-sleeved knit cardigan. The long skirt covered half of her calves, and she pulled her white socks up high.

The overall look had an energetic, youthful vibe, with a hint of playfulness.

When Jun Qingng shyly walked out,

Jiang Liu was stunned by the sight.

’She’s so beautiful.’

Moreover, Jun Qingng had a unique, indescribable aura about her.

It wasn’t cold and aloof, but it wasn’t just warm either. It seed to have a mix of playful and gentle grace.

He couldn’t quite put his finger on it.

Jun Qingng waved a hand in front of him. "What are you thinking about? Ready to go?"

"Yeah, let’s go."

Once they were out the door, Jiang Liu proactively held out his hand.

"Let carry your bag for you. You’re a patient, after all. You deserve so special treatnt, right?"

He didn’t have any ulterior motives; it was just the concern of a friend.

Jun Qingng smiled. "Okay!" She took off her bag and personally hung it around Jiang Liu’s neck.

"You two are such a good match!"

"Are you talking about this bag?" Jiang Liu asked, pointing to the Winnie the Pooh bag now against his chest.

"No! You and... uh... this rock, you’re a good match!"

Jiang Liu blinked.

He looked down at the white brick by his feet, completely bewildered.

’She must be complinting my masculinity, right?’

’Yes, I figured it out.’

Outside, Jiang Liu hailed a taxi.

"Driver, to the BYD dealership over at Jinpo Roundabout."

The two of them sat in the back seat.

"Yaaawn."

Jun Qingng let out a yawn.

’You’re so cute...’ Jiang Liu chuckled and said, "If you’re sleepy, go ahead and get so rest. I’ll wake you when we get there."

"Mhm!"

Jun Qingng closed her beautiful eyes, feeling at ease. Her long, lovely eyelashes curled slightly.

Usually, she would never dare to sleep in a taxi, but today, she felt completely safe.

Because Jiang Liu was right next to her.

Within tens of seconds, Jun Qingng groggily drifted off to sleep.

She was exhausted. She hadn’t slept well last night and was running a slight fever, leaving her drained.

Jiang Liu slled the pleasant scent of gardenia next to him.

He knew it was Jun Qingng’s scent—it was lovely and rich.

The driver made a turn.

Jun Qingng’s head tilted and ca to rest on Jiang Liu’s shoulder.

Her soft, fragrant hair tickled his neck, making him fidget uncomfortably.

Because they were so close.

Jiang Liu could even sll her breath as she exhaled.

It was a very pleasant, alluring scent.

However, at this mont, Jiang Liu was in no mood to appreciate it.

Under this dual physical and ntal tornt, he felt awkward and uncomfortable.

But he couldn’t bring himself to move away.

Jun Qingng was sick, and she had finally managed to fall asleep. It would be wrong of him to wake her.

The driver glanced in the rearview mirror, envious.

"What a well-matched couple..."

’If only I could transmigrate and beco that handso devil in the back.’
