"After waking up from a dream, I realized I still prefer n!"

"Mr. Sheffield, I greatly admire Miss Sheffield, otherwise, I wouldn’t have agreed to this engagent in the first place. But thinking about the long road ahead, Miss Sheffield might spend her life alone and that pains greatly. So, why not cancel this engagent?"

"Miss Sheffield is so wonderful, she deserves the best in this world, don’t you think?"

So, he likes n?

Clearly, no one expected this outco.

After a brief shock, Mrs. Sheffield’s expression shifted from unpleasant to cloudy, "No wonder the Aethelgard social circles say he is a rebel without a cause; they were completely right."

Simon Sheffield’s face looked constipated, "At least the kid knows how to take a hint!"

Vivian Sheffield stared dazedly into the mirror.

She exhaled a long breath of relief.

No wonder!

She had known Wyatt for years, but true close contact only happened in the past six months, after the families decided on the alliance.

In those six months, he accompanied her to the casino as a dealer, to Paris for fashion shows, and even to foreign horse racing tracks because she liked horseback riding.

He knows how to have fun.

He has vision.

He holds the imnse wealth of the Hawthorne Corporation in his hands.

More importantly, Wyatt’s face is wild and handso enough.

To put it mildly, in just a few months, Vivian Sheffield found herself sowhat in love with him.

After so many outings together and being engaged, for Vivian Sheffield, it seed inevitable that sothing would happen.

But nothing did.

In public, he was gentle and considerate.

In private, he was overly gentlemanly.

Wyatt’s performance was like that of a perfect fiancé.

Even during that ti at the bar, when she leaned on him, slightly tipsy, he only politely pulled away, "Miss Sheffield, you’re drunk..."

Nothing happened.

Through the thin silk evening dress and suit trousers, she couldn’t even feel the slightest unusual change in him.

Vivian Sheffield considers herself a beauty; in terms of appearance and figure, she’s top-notch.

But Wyatt had no desire for her at all.

Previously, she was frustrated, thinking she had no sexual attraction for him whatsoever.

Now knowing he likes n, Vivian Sheffield actually felt relieved.

So, it wasn’t her fault.

It’s just... he can’t do it.

Marrying him was all about forming an alliance, leveraging each other’s strengths.

Now there’s no need to marry, but she still holds shares of Hawthorne Corporation, and possesses such a significant leverage over Wyatt.

Any way you look at it, she’s the one profiting imnsely.

Vivian Sheffield imdiately felt liberated.

Knock knock!

The sound of knocking accompanied the whirl of helicopter blades on the rooftop.

Simon Sheffield opened the door.

Outside, Wyatt looked around, his gaze landing on Vivian Sheffield’s face, "Miss Sheffield, the helicopter is here, I’ll escort you!"

Such a... pity!

Vivian Sheffield looked at Wyatt’s face and elegantly stood up, "Thank you, Young Master Hawthorne!"

In the past, when they were an engaged couple, every ti she held his arm, Vivian Sheffield felt like there was a frantic rabbit running around inside her, making her feel chaotic.

Now, holding his arm again, there was no awkwardness or excitent.

Her eyes lingered on Wyatt’s face, which was perfect in every aesthetic aspect she appreciated, and Vivian Sheffield felt a bit of regret, "Wyatt, actually, we don’t have to call off the engagent, right?"

In high society, it’s common for couples in arranged marriages to play different roles in public and private, each doing their own thing.

Others can do it, why can’t she and Wyatt?

Understanding Vivian Sheffield’s implication, Wyatt curved his lips into a mischievous smile, "I’m a bit of a chauvinist..."

Vivian Sheffield lifted her eyes.

Wyatt laughed, "I can play around as I like, but you can’t. You must remain loyal and pure, guarding properly."

Vivian Sheffield’s expression changed slightly, internally cursing him as a lunatic.

"I heard that!"

Wyatt paused, looking at Vivian Sheffield, "You’ve insulted , your brother gave a punch, so the score between us is settled!"

He helped Vivian Sheffield into the cabin.

Then he leaned down to lift her luxurious gown, tucking it into the cabin.

Not forgetting to smooth the creases on her dress.

Wyatt smiled rakishly, "Miss Sheffield, I wish you happiness!"

The young, handso man’s eyebrows and eyes were wanton, his smile complented by the vast sunset behind him, especially radiant.

It matched the depths of his eyes, like a dark emissary who erged from the abyss of hell.

Both righteous and wicked.

Captivating.

Vivian Sheffield was stunned.

For a split second, she genuinely wanted to jump off the helicopter without regard, to throw herself into Wyatt’s arms and tell him she’s determined to marry him.

Even though he prefers n.

The thought rose, Vivian Sheffield snapped back to reality.

She beckoned with a finger, watching Wyatt approach.

Vivian Sheffield leaned down, and her words beside Wyatt’s ear were filled with cheekiness, "Young Master Hawthorne, you said, after waking from a dream you realized you prefer n. So, do you prefer n, or... do you only like n?"

Wyatt paused.

Vivian Sheffield straightened up and waved her hand at him, "Young Master Hawthorne, goodbye!"

The cabin door closed.

Amidst the roar of the rotors, the helicopter slowly took off.

On the rooftop, Wyatt inserted his hands into his pockets, exhaling lightly.

The helicopter turned from a black dot to a red dot, then disappeared.

The sky turned completely dark.

Wyatt gazed into the distance for a long ti, then took out his phone and dialed a number, "Is my package there?"

...

In the faculty dormitory at Aethelgard University, Serena Sinclair was being interrogated.

"Una, Una..."

Laughing until she couldn’t breathe, Serena gasped in pain as Una Hutton finally let go of her tickling hands.

Seeing the few scars left from surgery on Serena’s back, Una Hutton’s eyes instantly reddened, "Serves you right for being such a love-struck fool!"

Ever since her freshman year, when she got together with Adrian Lockwood, Una Hutton had called her a lovesick fool.

She’s long been used to it over the years.

But this ti, Serena willingly admitted defeat, "That’s right, I deserve it!"

In the past, when she argued back, Una Hutton got angry and lashed out.

Now that she’s admitting it, Una Hutton was speechless.

Serena playfully poked her puffed-up squirrel-like cheeks, "Una, I’m now completely broke. If even you don’t want , then I’ll truly end up holess... You couldn’t bear that, could you?"

Una Hutton remained silent.

Serena continued her act, "The kind-hearted and beautiful teacher, Mr. Hutton, I beg you, please take in, will you?"

"I don’t want to take you in!"

Una Hutton said huffily, her eyes suddenly lighting up, "You can go look for Wyatt! He called off his engagent just because of you!"

"Una Hutton!!!"

Serena looked exasperated, "You can eat what you want, but you can’t just say anything!"

"How is it not justifiable?"

Una Hutton argued logically, "Yesterday, the dia was still promoting the grand engagent ceremony of the affluent families, without even a hint of calling off the engagent. Early in the morning, you ran into Wyatt, you just ntioned you got divorced, and then he imdiately called off the engagent... how could it be such a coincidence?"

Serena disregarded it, "That’s why it’s called a coincidence?"

Una Hutton: ...

Seeing her expression clearly implying "there must be sothing fishy," Serena smiled bitterly, "Even if I hadn’t ntioned my divorce, let’s go back in ti, to when I hadn’t yet married Adrian Lockwood... Do you really think, is there anything about that could match up to Wyatt? Just tell , any one thing, and I’ll believe it!"

Una Hutton opened her mouth, but then paused.
