C10 – Chen Wu’s Brilliance

“Old man, I haven’t caused any trouble. If the Hu Family has sent soone for , then let’s see what they want. I’m curious to find out what they think they can do to !”

Chen Wu’s snort was laced with an unprecedented authority and indifference, leaving the Elder Village Head and Zhu Tie montarily stunned. It was as if they were seeing Chen Wu for the first ti. Chen Fengqing, in particular, felt this most acutely. His grandson, who had always navigated life with cunning, now stood before them with a posture of strength and fearlessness that was almost intimidating.

What on earth had he been through these last few days?

A bellowing voice ca from the doorway: “You lowly peasants inside, when you hear that the Hu Family has arrived, you should co out and welco us! Are you looking for trouble?!”

The voice was unmistakably that of the Hu Family’s haughty servants. A dog emboldened by its master’s power, these contemptible servants were emboldened by the Hu Family’s backing and were well-known bullies in the town.

“Chen Wu, please don’t go outside!”

The Elder Village Head was visibly shaken as he sighed, “Regardless of what trouble you’ve stirred up, let handle it. I am the Village Head, after all. They wouldn’t dare do anything to an old man like …”

“Grandfather, enough!”

Chen Wu’s eyes t Chen Fengqing’s with an unwavering determination that was new to him, “You won’t have to bow and scrape to these wretches any longer. It won’t be long before I give Hu Wang a piece of my mind!”

Chen Fengqing was left speechless by Chen Wu’s audacious declaration.

“Oh, quite the lofty words!”

At that mont, a mocking voice rang out, accompanied by the sound of clapping.

A dozen burly servants burst into the courtyard, brandishing various weapons. A young man dressed in finery, about Chen Wu’s age, followed, feigning an expression of utter surprise as he addressed Chen Wu, “Impressive, Chen Wu, you want to give my father a lesson? Why don’t you just claim you’re the strongest in Green-mount Town?”

“Just look at you, a pathetic beggar and a fatherless whelp. Do you really think you and your lowly kind amount to anything? I could crush you with one hand!”

Chen Wu remained silent, his breath catching for a mont when he heard insults like “old beggar” and “bastard,” before regaining his usual deep, tranquil composure.

Lee Wang kept up his mockery, “What’s the matter? Cat got your tongue?”

“Do you even know why I’m here today?”

Chen Wu fixed him with a cold stare, remaining silent.

Lee Wang was unfazed by Chen Wu’s indifference. In fact, he was in an exceptionally good mood, boasting, “Ah, I really owe it to your Bloodline Spirit Talisman. Thanks to it, I’ve successfully beco a Grade 1 Demonic Pet Master. I couldn’t wait to co and thank you once I heard you were back, Brother Chen!”

The Elder Village Head imdiately grasped the situation. He had raised Chen Wu and was aware of the Bloodline Spirit Talisman that had been sent by a significant figure last ti. He had been thrilled at the ti, concerned about how to secure a Demonic Pet for his grandson. Little did he expect that the Bloodline Spirit Talisman would end up in the hands of the Hu Family!

That was the Bloodline Spirit Talisman—a treasure crafted only by Spirit Talisman Masters and the key to Chen Wu’s future prospects beyond the village. And now, it had fallen into the Hu Family’s hands!

The Elder Village Head felt dizzy, a wave of desolation washing over him as he thought of Chen Wu’s deceased parents.

Chen Wu, with a bitter laugh, retorted, “What, you’ve co to thank today?”

“Of course, but besides showing my gratitude, I’d like you to experience the power of my beloved pet,” Lee Wang replied with a sly grin.

A malicious glint in his eye, Lee Wang focused his thoughts, and a Magic Array materialized on the ground: “Co forth, Blood Wolf!”

A creature the size of a large wolfdog appeared, its fur a dark shade of crimson and its eyes gleaming with a bloodthirsty cunning. Its gaping maw could easily snap a human head off. The formidable presence of the Demonic Pet filled the air, instilling fear in everyone present. Zhu Tie, in particular, was petrified after locking eyes with the Blood Wolf, collapsing to the ground, trembling as he stamred, “Demon, Demonic Beast!”

The deterrent power of a Demonic Beast was simply too strong for the average person. A single wolf could kill a robust man, so one could only imagine the threat posed by a Demonic Beast with an even more formidable physique, greater speed, and innate Talent Skills. It was akin to a group of mice scattering at the sight of a cat. Even the Servants were terrified, quickly keeping their distance, yet there was a hint of excitent in the air as they prepared to watch the young master’s Blood Wolf devour the old and young n.

Lee Wang burst into maniacal laughter, his face twisted with cruelty as he commanded, “Bite them to death! Leave no survivors!”

Being the son of Hu Wang, Lee Wang was certainly no fool. His father had secured a Bloodline Spirit Talisman for him, and Lee, always driven to prove himself, was well aware that Chen Wu’s survival would be detrintal to both him and his father. Moreover, he had risen to the rank of Demonic Pet Master using Chen Wu’s Bloodline Spirit Talisman. He would relish the opportunity to thoroughly humiliate Chen Wu before his demise, finding satisfaction in such cruelty. Hence, he had hurried over without even waiting for his father.

Regrettably for him, he was bound for disappointnt, and this action would likely be his most regrettable—if he lived to regret it at all.

Chen Wu smiled, and with a re thought, a Summoning Array materialized beneath his feet. Suddenly, Blood Rain erged, unfurling its wings and soaring into the sky with a piercing screech that made everyone’s ears ring. A gust of wind whipped up, swirling dust and debris into the air.

“What? That, that looks like a Demonic Beast!”

“My god, this kid, he’s actually summoned a Demonic Pet!”

Witnessing the spectacle, Lee Wang stood agape, muttering in disbelief, “How is this possible? It can’t be. Without a Bloodline Spirit Talisman, how did he ta a Demonic Pet?”

The Blood Wolf below was equally overwheld. Outclassed by the higher-level, more powerful Blood Rain, which now coldly surveyed from above, the juvenile Blood Wolf was so frightened that it shook on its legs. Its once fearso howl reduced to a dog-like whimper, it retreated, tail tucked, overco with fear.

“Damn it! Don’t think I’m scared of you just because you’re a Demonic Pet Master. A lowly mongrel will always be a lowly creature. Blood Wolf, use Rip and bring it down for !”

Lee Wang bellowed in desperation!

Despite its fear, the Blood Wolf had no choice but to grit its teeth and follow its master’s command. Since Blood Rain was flying at a re four ters above the ground, the Blood Wolf sprang into action. Its claws, radiating a blood-red light, soared three ters high in an attempt to knock Blood Rain from the sky!

But Chen Wu rely looked on with a mocking gleam in his eyes. Without any need for his direction, Blood Rain nimbly evaded the attack. To Blood Rain, the Blood Wolf’s assault was painfully slow, not even comparable to any of the Demonic Beasts it had faced in the jungle.

“You and your son have been so kind to , it’s only right that I return the favor with a generous gift!”

“Blood Rain, The Hawk Strike Force, Iron Claw!”

With a piercing cry, Blood Rain’s speed surged like lightning, a Wind-type Airflow enveloping its form. Its velocity tripled in a flash, diving towards the ground before the Blood Wolf could even register what was happening.

The gap between a Grade 1 Demonic Beast and a Grade 3 Demonic Beast was more than just a notch – it was a chasm!

Unsurprisingly, Blood Rain’s Iron Claw rcilessly tore through the Blood Wolf’s skull, brains bursting forth as the headless body collapsed to the earth!

Simultaneously, Lee Wang shook violently, his complexion turning deathly white as he coughed up blood.
