"Second Uncle, what do you an?" Jun Laoye asked, puzzled as he looked at Jun Wudi. "The spear's will was personally brought back by from the other dinsion. You felt it too back then. That is your spear's will."

As he spoke, Jun Laoye ford a hand seal. His Divine Psyche Incarnation erged from his forehead, and behind it, the broken spear had already fused into a complete long spear.

"How could this be?" Jun Laoye stared at the spear's will with deep regret. "Before I left, it was clearly still broken. How did it beco whole now? Second Uncle, will this cause you harm?"

Ancestor Suitian appeared in the giant's palm and patted Jun Laoye firmly on the shoulder. "Heh... this is likely the most perfect outco. It seems you made the right choice before leaving. Otherwise, even after retrieving the spear's will, we would have still needed a long ti to repair it."

Jun Laoye turned toward Ancestor Suitian, regret still shadowing his face. "Ancestor, what do you an? Sothing must have gone wrong. Don't try to comfort ."

"I am not trying to comfort you. The act of saving the manifestation just now restored the spear's will to its most perfect state. It has even opened a new path for our experint."

Ancestor Suitian approached the Divine Psyche Incarnation and tapped lightly on the spear's will. "And because of the high-grade primordial lightning qi within you, the spear's will has beco even more refined than it had ever been."

"Wudi, let's begin," he said softly, looking at Jun Wudi before stepping aside. "Follow your heart. You already know what you must do next."

"Yes, Ancestor," Jun Wudi pressed his right hand against the spear's will and his left hand on the divine ability mark at his waist. "Ancestor, I will be leaving shortly. Please watch over Little Jun while I am gone."

"Go. You must resolve the matters of your past," Ancestor Suitian said, observing Jun Wudi's aura. "Since you're ready to head to the Western Mountain, your cultivation foundation must have been repaired. What is your current realm?"

Guiding the spear's will into his divine ability mark, Jun Wudi answered softly, "Ancestor, I recently had a fortunate encounter and managed to raise my cultivation to the peak of Earth Core Realm. I shouldn't be far from stepping into the Human Core Realm."

Ancestor Suitian's eyes widened. "So you not only recovered, but even managed to attain perfect mastery of the Earth Core Realm? Excellent! Soon, we may witness the rise of a new Venerable under two thousand years old in the Jun Clan!"

"I haven't entered the Human Core Realm yet. And the path of cultivation is filled with perils. Ancestor, please don't judge too quickly," Jun Wudi said humbly.

Ancestor Suitian patted Jun Wudi's shoulder aningfully. "No need to be modest this ti. Even in my era, such progress would mark you as a top genius capable of ruling a continent. Unfortunately, with the decline of spirit qi, you missed the pri age for cultivation."

"No, Ancestor. The age of restored spirit qi is approaching," Jun Wudi said as the spear's will fully rged into his divine ability mark. "You've been away too long. In the outside world, secret realms and anomalies have been appearing more frequently. The age we long for is returning.

"And more than that, soone from the Outside has already returned. He told that a new golden age has begun out there, and it's one of the greatest ever."

Jun Wudi ford a series of hand seals and slowly rose into the air. "The Jun Clan may finally have hope to track down the Heavenly Dao. Every ti a golden age approaches, the clan's resonance with the Heavenly Dao is at its strongest."

He summoned his Heavenly Dao Spear, and a phantom spear materialized in his hand. His white robe fluttered in the still air, while a suit of lightning enveloped him, rging seamlessly with his robe.

In the western part of the continent, deep within the Deer Ridge mountain range, a broken spear bound by chains suddenly erupted with violent lightning, instantly consuming the surrounding seals.

"Hahaha... this feeling..." A cold, male voice echoed from within the spear. "It has been a thousand years. At last, Master's spear's will has awakened. He is summoning back."

Hundreds, even thousands, of robed cultivators rushed toward the sealing ground. With talismans in hand, they desperately pressed down on the spear, trying to subdue it once more.

But the spear flared again, unleashing a surge of lightning that radiated in all directions.

Pfft! Pfft! Pfft!

The broken spear started flashing and, with each flash, a muffled sound rang out. Every ti it echoed, one of the cultivators at the center of the seal would have a bloody hole burst open in the neck.

Just as the spear was about to advance further, a furious roar ca from the first mountain gate of Deer Ridge. From beneath the ground, a massive "Kill" character shot into the sky, spanning above the mountain gate like a heavenly decree.

"That's the Grand Patriarch's killing formation! The Grand Patriarch has co to suppress him!"

The surviving cultivators at the heart of the seal looked up at the glowing formation with hope, as if its re appearance ant the broken spear had already been subdued.

Yet the formation did not descend. It hung suspended in the air. Within the center of the character, radiance twisted and condensed into the image of a middle-aged Daoist. His booming voice thundered from the rune, "Since you have broken free, leave at once. Otherwise, you will never leave this place again."

"High Sage? You old dog, who gave you the right to speak to like that?" A cold, male voice roared from the broken spear, aid directly at the rune in the sky. "Or do you believe Deer Ridge can already stand against the Jun Clan with its current strength? If you truly want to stop , the Jun Clan will see it through to the end."

"Ignorant brat! You have no idea of my power!"

The killing formation in the sky flared a thousandfold stronger and pressed down toward the broken spear. "When your strength fails, you speak of seniority, and when seniority fails, you lean on your family's na. But you... you are just a re weapon spirit. Even your master was crippled by our Deer Ridge. How dare you raise your voice against ?"

"Heh... you rely relied on numbers and held the Matriarch hostage to coerce . And now you dare lecture on seniority and background?" A white-clad figure with features resembling Jun Wudi's slowly erged from the broken spear. He bore a faint resemblance with Jun Wudi as he said coldly, "Did you forget the thods you once relied on?

"To think the elders of Deer Ridge would stoop so low as to exploit the youngsters' love for their sches. But what use was that? In the end, my master cut them down one by one. A single spear strike was enough to fell each of your so‑called geniuses."

The white figure stared up at the middle-aged Daoist in the sky, his words brimming with scorn. "In that battle, the Deer Ridge younger generation should have been wiped out, yes? Tell , do you even have any young cultivators left among your ranks? Or has your line already withered away?"

His face twisted in fury, as though he'd been struck straight through the spine. "You... wretched brat! You're courting death!"[1]

He drove the killing formation down toward the broken spear.

Feeling the crushing force, the white figure sneered. "Old dog, prepare yourself. This ti, not a single soul in the Western Mountain's Deer Ridge will be spared."

He ford hand seals, and in an instant, tribulation clouds gathered in the sky. Thunderous bolts cascaded from the dark clouds, obliterating every cultivator on the platform.

"How dare you!" the Daoist roared, shooting down to confront the white figure himself.

"Old fool, just wait. Next ti we return, don't repeat that line about strength, seniority, or background. You are unworthy of such words!"

The white figure stood proudly. Feeling the threat of the rune and Daoist bearing down on him, he swiftly completed another sequence of hand seals and returned to the spear. By the ti his voice faded, the broken spear had already shot a thousand zhang to the east.

Watching it flee, the man in the rune howled in rage. After ordering Western Mountain into full lockdown, he vanished along with the killing formation.

The broken spear flew swiftly toward the Heavenly Mandate Hall, tearing open space with lightning to leap vast distances. Each ti it reerged, its aura grew fiercer, and its fractured body nded inch by inch. By the ti it reached the Heavenly Mandate Hall, the spear was whole again, with its spirit stronger than ever.

Before it even reached the Scripture Hall, the white-clad weapon spirit within called out from the spear. "Master, I have co late."

The spear circled Jun Wudi several tis before settling into his grasp, rging with the phantom spear to form the complete Wudi Spear.[2]

Jun Wudi caressed the weapon gently, his voice filled with affection. "Haha, you've co at just the right ti. You must have gone through a lot all these years."

The white figure stepped out from the spear, bowed deeply, and said, "I am fine, Master. It is worthwhile as long as you recover. However, I have failed to rescue the Matriarch, despite how long it's been. Master, I humbly ask for your punishnt."

Jun Wudi hurried to lift him. "This is not your fault. The viciousness of Deer Ridge is the one to bla. This ti, we will act openly and advance steadily until the Western Mountain's Deer Ridge has turned to dust beneath our feet."

"Yes, Master. Not a single one of those wretched fools shall remain." The weapon spirit's gaze grew fierce as it looked toward the Western Mountain. After another bow, it added, "Master, you seem to have advanced even further in cultivation. You are far stronger now than you were a thousand years ago."

"I ca across a fortunate encounter not long ago. Now that you've returned, the ti has co to drink both cups of wine."

Jun Wudi drew out two cups of fiery liquor from his ring. The dicinal power radiating from the wine instantly raised the quality of spirit qi within the Scripture Hall by several levels.

It was so potent that even lower-level cultivators broke through multiple realms at once. The venerables, n of Heaven, and commoners all stared at the wine, their eyes burning with naked greed.
