"Liam. He murdered an entire family including the children all under the premise of ’acquiring enough souls’. That was when I knew he had to be stopped." Aaron tensed his fists.

"We held an intervention to bring him back to his senses. Little did we know he was too far gone." Flas of war danced in Aaron’s eye.

"Not only did he manage to escape his prison all those years ago but he is now working with the emperor of the Aereon Empire." He sighed.

Looking at the distraught Aaron, Logan furrowed his eyebrows.

"Orion, don’t you have class?" Logan asked his companion.

Orion lingered montarily before answering, "There isn’t any class going on at the mont." He fumbled with his fingers.

"We are on a break given to us at the end of the year." Orion chuckled lightly.

"I’ve been unconscious for FOUR MONTHS?!" Logan scread and tried to get up when a wave of lightheadedness hit him.

Noticing his attempt to get up put a bit of weight on everyone present.

"You need to rest. Your body is still weak and is adjusting to the lack of such a... crucial organ. After a couple of days’ rest, you can leave." Obel planted his hand firmly on Logan’s left shoulder.

As if by instinct, however, he recoiled and pulled himself away.

It appeared almost as though he thought Obel was going to break his bones.

"Yes, rest. I’ll do that. You can leave, Thanks for coming." Logan put on a smile that looked forced.

The guests left the room and Logan was left to himself.

’What happened in the duel? I can’t rember everything. Just bits and pieces.’ Logan heaved an exhausted sigh.

"There’s still a way I can get stronger. Luckily, it doesn’t require mana." Logan muttered to himself as he held on to a sliver of hope.

Taking deep breaths, Logan closed his eyes and started drawing in world energy like he did for mana cultivation.

But rather than put it into his mana.. pseudo core, he started to channel it to the epidermal layer of the skin of his forearm.

The calls and tissue tried to fight the incoming energy but he forced it to comply.

As the energy he put there increased, a dull ache slowly appeared where he was gathering the energy.

The pain beca sharp and near unbearable but Logan wasn’t having it.

Gritting his teeth, he forcefully placed more energy there until it felt like his arm was about to explode.

Letting out a determined breath, he started the next part of the process.

Focusing on the mass of multicolored energy, Logan focused on a point in the middle of the mass and made that the axis.

He started to rotate the energy about the point and slowly turned the mass of world energy into a vortex.

The process of absorbing energy beca autonomous and violent until his arm could no longer take it.

The muscles in his arm wriggled like snakes were swirling underneath his skin.

At this point, however, the absorption slowed to a crawl before it stopped.

Now in the epidermis of his right arm could be found a small vortex of multicolored energy- his first world core.

Gaining new resolve, Logan resud with the process.

Days passed with him refusing to leave the hospital.

About every three days he managed to create another one until he could no longer bear the strain.

’So far I have five world cores. Two in my respective forearms, one in my upper back, and two in my legs. That’s all I can manage for now.’ Logan pondered his next move.

The knob leading to his room turned and Obel walked in.

"I’m glad to see that you’re recovering well." Obel walked up to Logan’s side and cautiously placed his hand on the boy’s shoulder.

"I’m here because I have a ssage from the crown." Obel sighed as he revealed a scroll in his hand.

He sighed before unfurling it and it read.

The Royal Family of The Dawn Kingdom expresses utmost concern for the safety of the students within the walls of the academy.

We find it absurd that the number of protocols the rogue mage managed to bypass.

The loss of a mana core ans the end of a mage but the Royal Court has deed it fit, deserving even, to compensate you.

Despite the lack of a mana core and the inability to use magic, you may be allowed to stay within the academy.

And if that isn’t your desire, a small estate can be given to you.

Now, until alarming matters. The Royal Duel invoked by the noble is hereby deed null and void.

It is clear he was under the influence of the rogue mage and as such none of his actions should hold any ground.

Thank you for your understanding and belief in the kingdom.

-The Crown

Much to Obel’s surprise, Logan kept silent yet his eyes glistened with an odd light.

’They planned to kick out of the academy and not even give what I deserved for winning the royal duel.’ Thoughts surged in Logan’s head.

’The only reason why they decided otherwise was because of how it’ll make them look to the citizens if the word got out.’ A sense of hilarity crept into his mind.

A suppressed chuckle escaped his lips before he exploded into a fit of laughter.

Taking several steps back, Obel felt he was watching the birth of a natural disaster.

Calming down, Logan slowly stood up from his bed and perford a few squats and short exercises.

"I’m ready to leave." He smiled as he stared at Obel.

The latter felt chills running down his spine.

"Okay. We just need to do a few tests first before you can leave." Obel ran off to quickly grab what he needed.

Walking down the empty halls of the academy, Logan had hope that the person he was looking for would still be in the school.

After about a minute of walking, he found and entered the class.

"Logan, I heard what happened with the duel. Hope you’re feeling better. Thank goodness you weren’t hurt too badly." Mr. Joe ran up to Logan and hugged him.

’So they didn’t tell everyone about my mana core? Interesting.’ Logan patted the man’s back.

"I’m ready, let’s begin the body enchantnt procedure."
