Chapter 658: Chapter 657: The Tribes Tribulations, The Wrath of the Heavenly Gods
“I am a ssenger sent by the Heavenly Gods! I’ve co specifically to help you solve your troubles!”
Upon hearing Wang Hao’s words, Chieftain Bablu imdiately stopped. He looked carefully at Wang Hao and then shook his head, “How could that be possible? You couldn’t possibly solve our troubles. Perhaps only a god could.”
Aren’t we going in circles here?
Wang Hao was getting impatient, “Hey, why can’t you guys listen to soone speak? If you don’t tell what your troubles are, how would I know? How can you be so sure that I definitely can’t do it?”
The whole scene fell silent instantaneously.
Chieftain Bablu and the three wizards looked at each other.
The four of them whispered amongst themselves for a good while, then Wang Hao soon heard one of the wizards making gestures to a few ard black n, “Seize them!”
“Don’t move!” Whoosh, that group of black n instantly surrounded Wang Hao and the other two!
What the hell is this supposed to an?
“What are you trying to do?!” Wang Hao and the other two huddled close together, Wang Hao shouted, “We’re here to negotiate!”
“I know you’re here to negotiate,” Chieftain Bablu stepped forward, saying in a deep voice, “Since the Heavenly Gods sent the three of you as well, this shows that everything is the will of the Heavenly Gods. Let tell you the truth, our tribe has encountered great trouble recently. Our tribe had been doing well, living peacefully and happily. But then, out of the blue, people started dying inexplicably. The causes of death are strange and varied—so drowned in the river, so were bitten to death by venomous snakes on the road, so were poisoned by spiders in their sleep… In less than a month, more than twenty of our tribe mbers have died.”
As he spoke of this, the faces of everyone in the tribe were filled with fear, and many knelt down, knocking their heads on the ground while crying to the heavens, “Heavenly Gods, calm your anger! Heavenly Gods, calm your anger!”
It wasn’t just the commoners, Wang Hao could clearly see that even the tribesn holding guns were so frightened that their hands were shaking.
“More than twenty people in a month?” Wang Hao looked around, frowning, “What you’re saying does seem quite mysterious. So you plan on capturing my friends as sacrifices?”
“Yes,” Chieftain Bablu nodded, “Our wizards have studied for three days and nights and concluded that we need to sacrifice the lives of so outsiders to the Heavenly Gods to quell their wrath…”
Holy shit, they are planning a live sacrifice!
Hearing this, the assistant directors nearly burst into tears out of fear!
A live sacrifice! They were seriously planning on using themselves as offerings! They all yelled together, “Director Wang, save us!” “HELP! HELP!”
While everyone else was very scared, Wang Hao finally felt relieved.
Knowing the reason makes it easier to handle, the real fear is being clueless and getting shot without warning.
After all, Brother Hao was protected by the luck dice, so naturally, he wasn’t afraid of these tricks.
“Chieftain Bablu,” Wang Hao said urgently, “I am also very sorry about the troubles your tribe is facing, but I really have learned so witchcraft before. Would you allow to take a look first?”
At such a mont, this young man still says he has learned witchcraft?
Chieftain Bablu looked carefully at Wang Hao and then waved his hand, imdiately causing all the ard black n to back away.
“You really know witchcraft?” Chieftain Bablu spoke solemnly, “Young man, the majesty of the Heavenly Gods is not to be offended. If you are lying to , the Heavenly Gods will certainly not spare you.”
“No, no, no, rest assured!” Wang Hao had to seize the mont while the iron was hot, “Chieftain Bablu, could you tell where the strangest part of all this has been over the past month?”
“This…” Chieftain Bablu looked around, then back at Wang Hao, before finally deciding, “Follow .”
A large group of people followed suit.
Chieftain Bablu led the way in front, followed by three wizards on either side.
Soon, the crowd arrived in front of two towers, each about five ters tall. Chieftain Bablu knelt down first, raising his hands high and muttering in an unknown language. The other three wizards, as if facing a great enemy, knelt behind their chief. After the four of them knelt, the entire tribe ca over and knelt on the ground together.
The scene was almost like the one in the movie “Avatar” where everyone worships the Earth Mother, very devout.
The worship soon concluded, and then, Chieftain Bablu said, “It all started right here, these two towers are our Heavenly God Towers. Everything was fine at first, but in the past month, ever since Bic accidentally bumped into one of the Heavenly God Towers, Bic died, followed by more than twenty people one after another…”
“You an,” Wang Hao looked carefully at the two similarly tall Heavenly God Towers, “that all those twenty or so people died nearby?”
“Yes,” Chieftain Bablu nodded gravely, “more than twenty healthy children…”
“Don’t worry, Chieftain,” Wang Hao frowned, “There’s bound to be sothing wrong if there’s a problem. Can I take a look at the environnt here first?”
“Kasco, show him around,” Bablu directed one of the wizards, “Maybe he really will discover sothing.”
“Alright,” one of the wizards, about forty years old, stood up imdiately, leading Wang Hao on a tour of the surroundings. When they returned, he asked, “Have you discovered anything?”
After taking a look around, Wang Hao was finally certain.
This wasn’t so punishnt from the Heavenly Gods—clearly there was a geomancy problem here…
The two towers were about five ters tall, and the distance between them was less than four ters.
That wasn’t the issue, however; what was critical, considering the surrounding environnt, was that from the south a road charged straight towards this area, then curved in a reverse bow shape directly towards the two Heavenly God Towers. The location of the accidents was between these two towers and the curve of this road.
It was a case of Heavenly Slash Evil eting the counter-bow evil, comparable to one large knife slashing downwards while another swept from left to right. When the two blades clashed, they were bound to inflict mutual damage. The solution was simple—building a 6-ter-tall artificial hill between the two Heavenly God Towers would resolve the issue.
But that was clearly impossible—this was a Heavenly God Tower standing at five ters, and proposing a 6-ter artificial hill would invite imdiate retribution if ntioned!
Moreover, even considering Heavenly Slash Evil in conjunction with the counter-bow evil, it was unlikely to kill more than twenty people in just over a month—sothing wasn’t right.
“This isn’t right,” Wang Hao stroked his chin and then said, “The situation is worse than I thought—it shouldn’t be so severe.”
Wang Hao’s ability to read geomancy was known to Zhao Zhenhao, who, hearing Wang Hao speak, suspected so geomantic reason was involved and promptly asked, “Brother Hao, what’s the situation? Is it geomancy?”
“Yes,” Wang Hao nodded, “It’s due to geomancy, but it really shouldn’t be so severe…”
The two n looked at each other and shouted in unison, “Use drones to take a look at the terrain!”
