C11 – Eighth Level!

When the seventh floor of the Nine-level Tower was illuminated, a potent aura emanated outward, rippling through the air. Every cultivator in Cloud City with a rank of Two-star or higher ceased their activities and looked towards the Tower, unable to conceal their imnse astonishnt. No one had anticipated that a newcor would be so formidable, managing to reach the seventh floor in one attempt.

Wang Shan was unaware that lighting the seven lamps with such ease would draw the gaze of all the formidable experts. “If he made it to the seventh floor effortlessly, reaching the eighth shouldn’t pose any challenge,” soone mused.

Approaching the entrance to the eighth floor, Wang Shan encountered a towering presence. It was as though he was facing a figure lost to the ages. “Young man, I suggest you turn back. I have lingered at this entrance for a millennium, yet entry eludes ,” the figure spoke.

Wang Shan looked at the figure, which hovered like a Wandering Soul that had perished a thousand years prior. The reason for its presence beca clear: unable to ascend to the eighth floor in life, the soul refused to move on in death, remaining at the threshold.

“Is it truly so difficult to enter the eighth floor?” Wang Shan inquired.

The Wandering Soul hastily cautioned him, “The eighth floor tests one’s innate talent. I was once hailed as a genius with the white eagle talent in Cloud City, and yet, here I perished at the entrance!”

The talents of the purple tiger, green snake, and white eagle were esteed as superior, marking their bearers as geniuses. But the Wandering Soul warned that those who dared to force their way onto the eighth floor would only et their demise.

Wang Shan, having awakened the Eternal Flood Dragon Bloodline, regarded the other talents as inconsequential. With unwavering resolve, he proceeded toward the eighth floor, encountering only a slight resistance. Ascending as if on a leisurely stroll, he reached the next level, leaving the Wandering Soul behind in disbelief.

For a thousand years, the soul had pondered and toiled in vain to advance. It never imagined that Wang Shan would succeed with such ease.

The Wandering Soul heaved a long sigh, his eyes brimming with despair. A profound sense of loss overwheld him.

With a laugh tinged with profound sorrow, the Wandering Soul said, “A millennium ago, I believed my white eagle talent was unparalleled. Yet, I never imagined you would awaken the Eternal Flood Dragon Bloodline. To whom do you belong?”

Wang Shan turned and replied, “I am of the Wang family.”

Hearing ‘Wang family,’ the Wandering Soul’s expression darkened.

“The Zhang family and the Wang family have been sworn enemies for generations. I never anticipated that the Wang family would produce such a prodigy. Where is the Zhang family’s heir?” the Wandering Soul inquired.

It turned out he was an ancestor of Zhang Bao.

What would he think if he learned that Zhang Bao had been crippled by Wang Shan?

“The Zhang heir has only made it to the third level and is currently healing at the base of the tower,” Wang Shan responded coolly.

“Why does he need to heal?” asked the Wandering Soul.

“He was already severely injured by before he even entered the Nine-level Tower,” Wang Shan clarified. This revelation left the Wandering Soul seething with anger.
