"Just one thing, if you dare to harm my family again, I will make your life a living hell."

After speaking, Feng Bailing slowly put down the teacup in his hand. The mont the teacup touched down, his seventh sense activated.

With a bang, the teacup shattered into pieces, and the tea inside splashed out.

A few drops of tea landed on Feng Zhanlian’s face.

Feng Zhanlian felt a burning sensation on his face, and when he wiped his face with his hand, he realized that his skin had been pierced.

Feng Zhanlian was shocked; he could hardly believe it as he looked towards Feng Bailing’s forehead.

Feng Bailing’s forehead was smooth, showing nothing unusual.

All signs indicated that Feng Bailing was a normal person, but what had just happened?

"Mr. Feng, please rember what I just said."

After finishing his words, Feng Bailing stood up and no longer paid attention to the complex expressions on Feng Zhanlian’s face.

As he left the side hall, Feng Bailing’s mind was full of thoughts.

Although he had uncovered the truth about Nalan Chun drugging the tea, Feng Bailing was still not entirely at ease about Nalan Chun and that mysterious woman.

That woman wanted to deal with Dugu Wu. The incident with the tea being intercepted, the adversary surely would not let it go, and Feng Bailing worried she would still target Dugu Wu.

Although Dugu Wu’s strength was undeniable, this man also had weaknesses.

After Feng Bailing left, Feng Zhanlian sat in the side hall for a long ti.

His brows furrowed together, he even forgot about the wound on his face.

He muttered to himself.

"Could she be that person?"

Outside Prince Shun’s Mansion, Dugu Wu’s horse carriage was waiting.

Dugu Wu sat inside the carriage; he had not left.

Feng Bailing could hear footsteps as soon as he erged.

As Feng Bailing got into the carriage, Dugu Wu asked,

"What just happened?"

During the tea serving, Feng Bailing’s actions were quite abnormal; he might deceive others but not Dugu Wu.

There was sothing wrong with the tea.

Upon hearing the ntion of the tea being problematic, Dugu Wu’s expression drastically changed, and he grabbed Feng Bailing’s hand.

"You knew the tea was problematic, yet you drank two cups in one go?"

The man’s anxious look caught Feng Bailing’s sight; Dugu Wu looked sowhat adorable in his worry.

"What could be wrong? I was genuinely thirsty. Besides, if there was sothing wrong with the tea, why would I be perfectly fine, look at , still full of vigor."

Feng Bailing said with a laugh.

Dugu Wu was still worried.

"If you feel unwell, you don’t have to go to Zuixian Inn, that kind of banquet is very noisy."

Feng Bailing pouted.

"How could that be? If we don’t go, everyone will think we have sothing against Dongfang Yong and his wife."

After the couple’s carriage left, Feng Zhanlian finally walked out from Prince Shun’s Mansion.

Feng Zhanlian’s visit today was not for attending the celebration. In his view, Prince Shun’s Mansion had nothing to do with him; he ca only to test Feng Bailing.

Although the probe had results now, he still did not dare to jump to conclusions, nor dared he act rashly.

The opponent’s strength was much stronger than he had anticipated.

Feng Zhanlian, deep in thought, rode the horse carriage back to Feng Mansion.

Just as he arrived outside Feng Mansion, he saw a familiar horse carriage quickly turning into the alley where the Corner Gate of Feng Residence was located.

The horse carriage was recognizable to him; it was his brother Feng Zhan Tian’s carriage.

At this ti, it was almost dark. Feng Zhan Tian’s sudden visit, and the secretive way he parked the horse carriage in the alley, made Feng Zhanlian slightly furrow his brows.

He instructed the Coachman to park the carriage elsewhere, then he alighted from the carriage and quietly entered Feng Mansion.

Inside Feng Mansion, Aunt Xue was being entangled by Feng Zhan Tian.

"Uncle, please don’t co here anymore."

Aunt Xue was visibly anxious, especially since Feng Zhanlian had woken up and had reverted to his forr self.

Aunt Xue was delighted, but one thing that made her anxious was her inappropriate relationship with Feng Zhan Tian.

In the beginning, she had no money and feared that Feng Zhanlian would never recover, which is why she entered into a relationship with Feng Zhan Tian.

Unexpectedly, there ca a day when Feng Zhanlian’s condition improved, and after his initial recovery, he seed like a completely different person.

The current Feng Zhanlian resembled the top scorer Feng Zhanlian that Aunt Xue had once admired, while the present Feng Zhan Tian, fat as a pig and stout, made Aunt Xue feel disgusted just by looking at him.

Yet, Feng Zhan Tian still clung to hope and bothered her every day.

"Sister-in-law, this is being ungrateful. When my brother was seriously ill, you were eagerly asking for money so that he could recover."

Upon hearing this, Feng Zhan Tian’s face turned cold as he cursed.

"Feng Zhan Tian, do you really think I don’t know? While it’s true you gave so silver when your brother was sick, the amount was trivial compared to what you had embezzled from the Princess’ Mansion. Moreover, the dicine you procured for your brother was all of inferior quality."

Feng Zhan Tian didn’t expect Aunt Xue would suddenly beco smart.

However, he wasn’t afraid of Aunt Xue; Feng Zhanlian had gone to Dongfang Yonghuang’s wedding banquet and wouldn’t be back anyti soon.

In the mansion, Aunt Xue was alone.

"Sister-in-law, don’t you dare slander . How could my dicine be poor quality? Look, my brother could recover thanks to my dicine."

As he spoke, he reached out to embrace Aunt Xue.

"Foolish scoundrel! If you dare to touch again, don’t bla for telling your brother all about your deeds."

Aunt Xue, furious and montarily forgetful of the need for secrecy, blurted out,

"The dicine that helped your brother recover didn’t co from you, but from a noble who gave the dicine. It’s her dicine that restored your brother to his forr state."

"What noble not noble? Do you think today’s Feng Mansion is the sa as before? Now Feng Bailing has co into power; marrying Dugu Wu and favored by both the Emperor and Empress Dowager. Who would want to help the likes of Feng Mansion now? We have been husband and wife for a hundred days, and now that my brother has recovered, you want to kick aside? You wish!"

Feng Zhan Tian pounced on Aunt Xue like a hungry wolf.

Seeing the situation turn dire, Aunt Xue tried fleeing through the door, but ultimately she was no match for Feng Zhan Tian.

Just as she was about to be disgraced by Feng Zhan Tian, a cold snort was heard.

"Feng Zhan Tian, how dare you."

That cold rebuke was like a bucket of ice water being poured over him, sending chills down Feng Zhan Tian’s spine.

He looked up with a start and saw the door being kicked open, with Feng Zhanlian walking in.

"Big, big brother," Feng Zhan Tian stuttered, visibly frightened.

Aunt Xue also looked pale; she had not expected Feng Zhanlian to return so suddenly.

"Zhanlian, you must save ," Aunt Xue sobbed, hiding behind Feng Zhanlian.

Feng Zhanlian, however, rebuked her sharply.

"Harlot, how could you be worthy of ."

"Zhanlian, this was all forced by Feng Zhan Tian, you must listen to my explanation," Aunt Xue tried to explain. However, Feng Zhanlian’s icy gaze made her tongue-tied, leaving her unable to speak.
