During the flight, Dugu Xiaojin caught sight of those Dacang Monkeys, and the Dacang Monkeys also saw the formidable giant wolf.

A look of terror appeared in their eyes, and they dared not approach, allowing Dugu Xiaojin to successfully escape their field of view.

Over the following days, the Dacang Monkeys struggled to search for Dugu Xiaojin but to no avail.

Having successfully thrown off the Dacang Monkeys’ pursuit, Xiaojin road freely through the mountain forest.

Half a day later, it arrived at its destination.

It was a steep cliff located near the summit of Dacang Mountain.

The summit was already snowy, and the temperature had suddenly dropped significantly.

Dugu Xiaojin’s target was right below the cliff, and Xiaojin patiently hid in the snow, motionless.

Around dusk, there finally ca a sound from below the cliff.

A hissing sound was heard as a large snake, as thick as a barrel, slithered out of the stone cave.

The serpent, flicking a red forked tongue, had skin incredibly hard, its skin patterns like scales, but what was most striking was the small horn on top of its head.

After rging with the White Wolf King, Xiaojin’s eyesight improved.

After making out the situation below the cliff, it did not act imdiately.

Instinct told it that the horned snake was extrely dangerous.

The Horned Snake road around the Snake Cave for a mont and coiled up there, when suddenly there was a rustling noise from behind the cliff.

A Dacang Monkey arrived with a corpse, tossing it down, and the Horned Snake caught it, its movents practiced. After seizing the corpse, it slithered back into the Snake Cave.

Witnessing this, Dugu Xiaojin understood imdiately.

That Dacang Monkey was there to feed the Horned Snake.

After feeding, the Dacang Monkey turned to leave when a white shadow pounced, its sharp wolf teeth tearing through the monkey’s fur and into the blood vessels beneath.

Almost simultaneously, a surge of Gang Qi appeared out of nowhere, striking towards this side.

The owner of the Gang Qi saw a white wolf hit the ground.

The Gang Qi disappeared abruptly, and he stepped back several paces.

A man and a wolf stood frozen at the edge of the cliff, the howling night wind surrounding them, eyes locked on each other.

"It’s you!"

Dongfang Yong was stunned to see the formidable white wolf.

Dugu Xiaojin also did not expect to encounter Dongfang Yong here.

"What are you doing here?"

Dongfang Yong eyed the white wolf suspiciously.

The white wolf glanced over, its expression indifferent, and spoke in human tongue.

"I live here."

"You live on Dacang Mountain?"

Dongfang Yong was skeptical.

However, he was not familiar with Dacang Mountain. Only during this trip up the mountain had he discovered the many bizarre twists it held – the Dacang Monkeys and that unbelievable Horned Snake below the cliff shattered Dongfang Yong’s conceptions.

With so many strange creatures in these woods, it seed not so surprising that a mighty beast like the Wolf King could be born here.

"What about you? What are you doing here?"

Dugu Xiaojin retorted.

If it wasn’t for the brochure given by the headmaster that clearly stated he had to co here for the Wolf King’s inner core, Dugu Xiaojin would not have co to this place. Could it be that Dongfang Yong was also here for that Poison Immunity inner core?

Dugu Xiaojing was on guard, sizing up Dongfang Yong.

Xiaojin had disliked this uncle since childhood because the man always loathed both him and his father and constantly called him a little bastard.

"I’ve co to find Martial Arts."

Dongfang You said sullenly.

He was sowhat apprehensive towards the Wolf King; the creature’s strength was simply too formidable – the last ti, the three of them were unable to deal with it.

"I just knew that old woman wasn’t so kind-hearted, how could she just give Martial Arts out of the blue."

Dongfang Yong had been staking out here for the entire night; the place was extrely cold, and his whole body was frozen stiff.

The Horned Snake never erged during the day, only making an appearance around dusk. Each ti, a Dacang Monkey would deliver food to it. Although his Martial Arts technique was hidden inside the Snake Cave, he never got the chance to go search for it.

Nevertheless, Dongfang Yong was not willing to give up. He remained on guard here, hoping for an opportunity, never expecting to encounter the White Wolf King.

Dugu Xiaojin pondered for a mont.

"Let’s cooperate," she suggested.

"Cooperate with you?" Dongfang Yong asked in confusion.

"I need the snake’s inner core, and you’re in need of the Martial Arts hidden in the Snake Cave. Only by working together will we stand a greater chance of killing it. This cliff is very steep; if we went down, it’s very likely we’d be detected. We need to co up with a way to lure it out," said Dugu Xiaojin.

After Dugu Xiaojin spoke, Dongfang Yong nodded his head in agreent.

His thoughts were in line with those of the White Wolf.

"However, it’s likely that the snake is being fed by soone, and it won’t co out easily. I’ve already tried making so noise, but it didn’t react at all."

"Then we need to find a way to force it to co out," said Dugu Xiaojin, glancing at the monkey carcass on the ground with a thoughtful look.

When dusk approached, Nalan Yan’er and Hua Wushang had finally transported all the wine to the foot of the mountain.

Nalan Yan’er saw several horse carriages that had already been waiting there.

She climbed into the horse carriage and turned to look for Hua Wushang, only to find him frowning and about to walk up the mountain.

"Wushang, where are you going?" Nalan Yan’er asked in surprise.

"You go ahead with the wine to the Crown Prince Mansion. I’ll be back later."

More than half the day had passed, and the monkeys he deployed to track Dugu Xiaojin, to monitor Feng Bailing, and to feed the ones at the cliff hadn’t returned yet.

Hua Wushang was soone whose emotions rarely showed, but at this mont, there was a sliver of anxiety in his eyes.

Especially regarding the cliff, he had been nurturing the Horned Snake for such a long ti, waiting for it to shed its skin and transform into a Horned Jiao. The recent period was critical.

And at such a crucial ti, the dean of Yuxiu Academy ca up the mountain with a few others; he had to be cautious, though he didn’t believe anyone could harm that Horned Snake.

As soon as he finished talking, Hua Wushang’s figure disappeared into the woods of the mountain.

Nalan Yan’er frowned, but then looked at the dozen or so barrels of wine beside her, and a delighted expression appeared on her face.

anwhile, in the mountain forests, having swapped the wine barrels earlier, Feng Bailing started searching for the tracks of others.

Dacang Mountain was vast, and it took her considerable effort to ascertain the whereabouts of the others.

The first person Feng Bailing found was Hong Xuan.

At that ti, Hong Xuan was scurrying around like a headless fly.

"With this vast mountain, where am I supposed to find a broken piece of armor?" Hong Xuan stamped her feet in frustration.

At that mont, the branches above her suddenly began to sway.

There was no wind around.

With alertness, Hong Xuan noticed the tree leaves shaking even more violently.

She walked a few steps forward, and the leaves of a tree in front of her also started to rustle.

Hong Xuan continued to walk, on and on, until she was led to a maple tree with reddened leaves.

She stumbled, kicking sothing with her foot.

Looking down, Hong Xuan saw a corner of a chest poking out.

She dug out the chest and opened it, only to find a piece of clothing inside.

"It’s the Yin Yang Armor I was looking for!" Hong Xuan was overjoyed; her luck was truly good!

Elsewhere, Feng Luochen followed the map to a pond.

The pond was very deep, but Feng Luochen didn’t hesitate and jumped into it with a splash.

About half a quarter of an hour later, Feng Luochen erged from the water, shivering uncontrollably, his eyes filled with terror.
