Chapter 49 : Invincible

The players were confused.

Despite their warnings, Axton didn’t even flinch.

He didn’t run.

He didn’t hesitate.

He simply kept walking forward, his eyes fixed on Silva.

His face projected a faint, excited smile.

It was as if he hadn’t heard a single word they had said.

Silva noticed and reacted the sa way, marching toward him with fury in his eyes.

"You bastard! You dare co back here?" he shouted, his voice filled with venom and fire, his fangs ready to sink deep into Axton’s flesh.

Seeing Silva make the first move, the rest of the Grand Nexus mbers quickly joined in.

The chance to finally put down the so-called Khan was too good to miss.

This ti, they planned to give him the beating of his life.

"I didn’t know trash ca crawling back after being thrown out," Axton mocked, his voice carrying clearly across the crowd.

His tone was casual, even playful, like he wasn’t standing in front of dozens of enemies.

He stopped walking and raised a finger to his lips, staring up at the sky as if trying to recall sothing.

"Or maybe," he continued, "...it was my fault for not giving you a proper beating last ti?"

Silva’s teeth ground together audibly.

His face turned red with anger.

"This bastard!"

"He called us trash!" one of the Grand Nexus players barked.

"Now you’ve done it!"

"You won’t escape this ti, Khan!" another spat.

Axton tilted his head and stood akimbo, smirking.

"Escape? I’m not the one who begged for his life last ti. Do you want to remind you who that was?"

Silva’s face twisted. But unlike before, he wasn’t entirely panicked.

This ti, he had backup, his guild master had sent him reinforcents.

Many of the players that had been transported here through the runic portal had at least A-rank talent.

That alone made Silva confident.

With so many capable fighters, how could they lose?

"Rangers!" Silva bellowed, pointing straight at Axton. "Fire!"

The rangers stepped forward, weapons already drawn and prepared.

In unison, arrows and bullets were released, cutting through the air with deadly speed.

*Bang*

*Swoosh*

The sound echoed across the battlefield, aiming for one person.

Yet Axton stood his ground.

He didn’t duck.

He didn’t dodge.

He didn’t even blink.

Instead, he drew in a deep breath, then exhaled.

Calmly, he swung his hand upward.

[Supre Iron Fist]

Wind exploded outward in a violent wave.

The projectiles were scattered like leaves in a storm, redirected harmlessly to the ground.

"He... He dispelled them with just a wave of his hand?"

"Impossible...!!"

*Gulp*

Even the most arrogant mbers of Grand Nexus swallowed nervously.

"This guy... is sothing else."

For a brief mont, Silva faltered.

However, pride kept him from backing down.

He quickly regained his composure and roared,

"Continue the attack! Don’t stop!"

But before his rangers could reload...

*Boom*

Axton stomped down with enough force to crack the earth beneath him.

Then, in a blur, he charged forward, fists clenched tightly.

His speed was unreal, his movents like a phantom crossing the battlefield.

He stopped suddenly, raising his arm.

[Supre Iron Fist]

The atmosphere trembled.

It felt as though the air itself was shaking violently.

Then, an unseen force blasted outward, sweeping through the frontline of Grand Nexus like a tidal wave.

Dozens were knocked off their feet.

Players scread as their HP bars plumted.

The tank-class fighters tried to stand firm, shields raised, but the sheer power of the grade 4 skill was too overwhelming.

Their defenses cracked instantly.

Their bodies hurled away.

Before they could even attempt to recover, Axton pressed forward again.

He leapt high into the air, his cloak fluttering dramatically behind him.

Then...

*Swoosh*

A portion of the cloak separated and floated upward, twisting in midair.

Within monts, it transford into the form of a beast.

A King Griffin!

Though smaller than the one Axton had fought before, its size and aura still made it terrifying.

The air grew heavy as the majestic creature spread its wings wide, casting a shadow over the battlefield.

"Wh-What the hell is that?!"

"Is that... a summon?!"

The Grand Nexus mbers froze, their confidence wavering.

The griffin’s wings began to beat furiously, stirring a violent wind.

[Storm Cutter]

*Fweeeppp*

Blades of wind ripped across the ground, slicing through armor and flesh alike.

Players scread as they were torn apart, HP bars evaporating to zero in re seconds.

Items, potions and weapons scattered across the dirt, all dropping from the corpses of Grand Nexus mbers.

Those who survived were broken and terrified.

"Run!" one of them shouted, voice cracking.

But escape was futile.

The griffin swooped down, its claws slamming into the ground with enough force to send debris flying.

The gusts it created shredded through those who tried to flee.

In just monts, the mighty Grand Nexus guild, the self-proclaid number one guild in New Eden, was decimated again.

And the shocking truth?

This wasn’t even the real Axton.

It was only his clone.

If word got out that they couldn’t even handle a fake, the humiliation would be unbearable.

"Is he even human?"

"To him... we’re nothing."

The surrounding spectators, players who had gathered to watch, were left speechless.

The rumors they’d heard, the subtle talks about Axton defeating an entire guild by himself, were true.

They had just witnessed it with their own eyes.

"H-He really... took down Grand Nexus all alone?"

"This is insane. He’s invincible!"

No matter how Silva would try to spin it, no excuse could cover this disaster.

His guild had been disgraced twice by the sa man.

And this ti, it was worse.

Silva’s face paled as he realized his fate.

His guild master would never forgive this humiliation.

The demons that had promised him power had failed him.

He began to crawl backward on the dirt, eyes wide, as Axton approached slowly.

Every step echoed like the toll of a death bell.

"I... I think we can work sothing out," Silva stamred, his pride gone.

Just minutes ago he was boasting and threatening fire and brimstone.

Now, he was begging.

Axton crouched near him, his shadow falling over Silva’s pale face.

"This is the price of arrogance," he said calmly. "Rember it well. If you crawl back to again, next ti... it won’t just be your pride I break."

Silva shuddered violently, his words caught in his throat.

He couldn’t even beg.

*Boom*

The ground split apart beneath Silva’s body as Axton’s [Supre Iron Fist] slamd down, leaving a deep crater.
