After Jiang Qingyi finished the call with An Ge, she called Mrs. Huo, who was far away in Jingcheng.
Being Mrs. Huo’s own granddaughter, Jiang Qingyi cried on the phone, and Mrs. Huo certainly couldn’t ignore her.
So, Mrs. Huo called Huo Shaoyan and asked him to go to the police station to bail her out.
The two bumped into each other in the parking lot, which was sowhat unexpected.
An Ge closed the car door, thought for a mont, and took the initiative to speak: "Did you co because of Jiang Qingyi?"
An Ge had a scent of alcohol on her.
Though the sll wasn’t strong, Huo Shaoyan still caught it.
Huo Shaoyan frowned and asked irrelevantly, "You drank?"
An Ge: "No."
Paused for a mont, she added in explanation,
"Uncle Wen enjoys a good drink, and when the maid was pouring him so, she accidentally spilled it on ."
Huo Shaoyan raised an eyebrow and said in a tone that was neither salty nor bland:
"What about that new fla of yours in M City? Didn’t you say he was better than in every way, so why didn’t he co with you?"
An Ge looked up at him, watching his bright, shining phoenix eyes under the streetlamp, and chuckled softly:
"President Huo, your words are really sour. Anyone not in the know might think you still can’t forget ."
Huo Shaoyan said lightly, with no emotion at all:
"Ms. An, my wedding date is set, on the eighth of next month. If you’re free, you’re welco to co and watch."
An Ge’s heart tugged slightly, a little painfully.
Her gaze quickly withdrew from his face; her voice was equally devoid of any emotion,
"Is that so? Congratulations!"
After she finished speaking, she walked ahead into the brightly lit police station.
By the ti she arrived, a lawyer was already waiting for her.
The lawyer was a client of hers in M City; she had perford surgery on him before.
Thus, upon receiving her call, this top lawyer reached the police station imdiately.
With the help of Huo Shaoyan, Jiang Qingyi was released without charge very quickly.
An Ge said to the lawyer who assisted, "Thank you. I’ll treat you to a al another day."
The lawyer smiled and said, "It’s my honor to serve you."
After sending the lawyer off, An Ge said to Jiang Qingyi, whose eyes were red and swollen from crying, "Are you coming with or with him?"
In Jiang Qingyi’s subconscious, Huo Shaoyan and Jiang Fengmian were in cahoots.
Since Jiang Fengmian had been so cold and heartless to her, she didn’t want to go with Huo Shaoyan.

After a pause, he added emphatically,

Huo Shaoyan’s words were harsh.
An Ge wasn’t the type to take insults lying down.
She frowned deeply and responded with a displeased look, "President Huo, who really lacks dignity around here?"
Seeing her brows furrowed and her angry deanor, Huo Shaoyan felt a strange pleasure.

Huo Shaoyan nodded slightly and said, "Though I share little father-son bond with Huo Zhenwei, he is my biological father. I hope you’ll be diligent during the surgery."
An Ge felt he was just making small talk to find sothing to say and wanted to roll her eyes at him.
But, she held back.
Her attitude beca sowhat impatient:
"Naturally. Do you have anything else? If not, let’s just head our separate ways."
Huo Shaoyan: "There is."
An Ge: "..."
"Take to see the place where you’re staying in M City."
An Ge finally got annoyed, "Who do you think you are, why should I take you to see where I live?"
Huo Shaoyan shalessly said:
"Do you think I want to? Huanhuan called , asking to help her get her treasure chest from the place you used to live. I’m just fetching sothing for her."
An Ge took a deep breath and said, "Don’t trouble yourself, I’ll handle it personally..."
Huo Shaoyan interrupted her,
"No, I’ve already promised Huanhuan, I can’t break my word. I promised her I’d personally bring it back to her,
how could I fail to keep my promise? I’ve finally got her to have so positive feelings towards as her father, how can I let this ruin it?"
An Ge pursed her lips and silently looked at him for a mont.
The man’s expression seed particularly sincere, as noble as a clear breeze and bright moon, yet his actions were shalessly audacious.
An Ge sighed deeply, "Fine."
After saying that, she turned and got into the car.
She instructed the driver, "Back to the manor."
Huo Shaoyan followed closely behind as her car drove away.
After forty minutes, the car stopped at a villa in a manor that wasn’t particularly large in area.
Though the manor wasn’t large, it exuded a sense of warmth everywhere.
The flowers and plants in the manor were neatly trimd, the indoor decor was consistently warm-toned, and upon entering, Huo Shaoyan felt a strong sense of ho.
With his hands behind his back, he wandered around the living room several tis before saying to An Ge, "Your manor villa is pretty nice."
An Ge didn’t respond at all.
She then instructed the housemaid:
"Go to Huanhuan’s room and bring down her favorite treasure chest."
Maid: "Yes, Miss."
As the maid went upstairs to fetch the chest, Huo Shaoyan sat down on the sofa, his gaze fixed on An Ge,
"Co on, even if I’m a guest, with no tea to entertain , at least pour a cup of warm water, right?"
An Ge, disinclined to engage with him, said, "If you need anything, just tell the maid."
After saying that, she turned to go upstairs.
Huo Shaoyan called after her, "Wait."
An Ge paused, turning slightly, "What else do you want?"
Huo Shaoyan queried, "What did you live on while you were in M City for all that ti? Knowing your nature, you wouldn’t have taken financial help from Lu Huai’an or Huo Qingzhou..."
"I didn’t rely on them," An Ge said coldly, "... It’s not hard for to make money."
She exhaled a long breath, then told him to leave. "After you get what you ca for, please be on your way, President Huo."
Huo Shaoyan gazed deeply at her and said,
"I still have sothing to say."
An Ge paused, "What else is there?"
"That’s it, Huanhuan asked to co and get her treasures from the place you used to live," he said, unashadly.
