Huo Shaoyan pressed the gun barrel against An Jifeng’s forehead, his voice icy:

"The beloved little princess of the An Family is suspected of conspiring to harm the elder of the Huo Family. If this matter blows up, it’ll affect the future of your entire clan, won’t it? Get An Muxin out to see , or I’ll make sure this turns into a big scandal."

After pausing, he added, "Take a look then, if your An Family can even handle the fallout."

An Jifeng’s face darkened more and more, and he finally ordered the bodyguards to bring out An Muxin.

The mont An Muxin appeared, she felt the oppressive weight of Huo Shaoyan’s gaze.

She was so terrified her legs gave out; if the bodyguard hadn’t held her up in ti, she would have fallen flat on her face.

Huo Shaoyan approached her, pressing the cold barrel of his gun against her forehead, his voice as chilling as ice:

"You’ve got quite the nerve, huh?"

An Muxin felt as though her airway was being crushed; she couldn’t even utter a single word.

Tears stread down her face.

It was a while before she tremblingly tried to defend herself:

"I didn’t do it on purpose. It was An Baoying who set up. I only wanted to teach An Ge a lesson. How could I have guessed that An Baoying was planning to..."

Her words rambled incoherently, but Huo Shaoyan had no interest in listening further.

He coldly and rcilessly interrupted her, "So, you think you can wash your hands clean of this ss?"

An Muxin’s entire deanor shifted to panic and terror.

Her voice trembled, "W-what do you want to do for you to let go?"

Huo Shaoyan stared at her impassively, his voice sharp and cruel:

"First, tomorrow, kneel before An Ge and apologize to her sincerely. Second, provide free blood-serum treatnts for Huai Shang until his full recovery.

Third, terminate the pregnancy—don’t even dream of becoming my woman in this lifeti. Fourth, earn my grandmother’s forgiveness. If you fail to et any of these conditions, I will not accept."

Huo Shaoyan’s aura was frigid and bloodthirsty.

And the gun barrel remained pressed against An Muxin’s forehead.

Refusal wasn’t an option for her.

She could only feign compliance and said, "I...I need ti to think..."

Huo Shaoyan lightly tapped her face with the gun barrel, his voice dripping with wicked charm. "Do you really think you have the luxury of considering this?"

An Muxin shook with fear. Her choking sobs escaped as she said:

"I can agree to all the other conditions, but...the child is mine. Even if you don’t acknowledge it, you can’t stop from giving birth..."

Huo Shaoyan let out a cold laugh:

"Do you think giving birth to it guarantees so connection to ? Let tell you, even if you give birth to the child, it’ll only end up as an illegitimate bastard in hiding. I will never acknowledge its existence in this lifeti. Do you understand?"

An Muxin thought Huo Shaoyan was truly heartless.

She bit her lip and said nothing more.

Huo Shaoyan retracted his gaze from her and turned to An Jifeng.

He spoke to An Jifeng with utter indifference:

"For the An Family to raise such a disgrace, the fault lies squarely with your family. I expect when you apologize to my grandmother, the most authoritative elder of your clan to be personally present."

After delivering these words, Huo Shaoyan swiftly left with his people.

As soon as he was gone, An Muxin collapsed to the ground, overwheld by the blow.

After struggling to calm herself, she avoided An Jifeng and retreated to the bathroom to call her personal maid, Cui Zhu.

She asked Cui Zhu, who was currently stationed near the hospital, "Has An Baoying regained consciousness?"

Ever since An Baoying was taken to the hospital due to heavy bleeding following her miscarriage, Cui Zhu had been closely monitoring her condition.

Therefore, Cui Zhu quickly updated An Muxin on An Baoying’s current status:

"Not yet. Because of the hemorrhaging, her uterus was removed, leaving her extrely weak. She still hasn’t woken up."

Upon hearing this, An Muxin imdiately breathed a sigh of relief.

After a mont’s consideration, she said, "Since that’s the case, let’s end her suffering once and for all and send her to hell."

Cui Zhu was taken aback: "Miss, isn’t...isn’t this too cruel?"

An Muxin snapped:

"If I don’t act ruthlessly now, I’ll be the one suffering later. If An Baoying wakes up and reveals the truth, do you really think that thug Huo Shaoyan would spare ? An Baoying must die!"

Cui Zhu thought for a mont, then said, "Alright then."

An Muxin instructed, "Make sure the job is clean, leave no evidence behind. Do you understand?"

Cui Zhu: "Understood."

...

After ending the call with An Muxin, Cui Zhu climbed the hospital building, nimbly avoiding security caras and scaling the walls like a female Spider-Man, swiftly making her way towards An Muxin’s assigned room.

At the sa ti, from a black Rolls-Royce parked nearby, a tall, commanding man dressed in black stepped out.

He wore a baseball cap and a black face mask.

In the heavy shadows of the building’s light, his figure seed exceptionally imposing.

Not long after he stepped out of the car, soone approached him from behind.

The newcor stood respectfully and asked, "Mr. Jing, should we intervene?"

The man’s voice was frosty: "An Baoying deserved to die anyway. Saves us the trouble."

His subordinate added, "Then why did we co here?"

The man’s tone beca colder, "I heard her arm was cut by An Baoying, and I couldn’t rest easy. I ca to take a look."

"Mr. Jing, I’ve already made inquiries. Seventh Young Lady really did get hurt on her arm—she even needed stitches. She’ll need to remain hospitalized for the next couple of days."

Gu Changfeng furrowed his brows deeply upon hearing this, "Stitches? That serious?"

The subordinate, Wu Ming, replied respectfully, "She got five stitches."

Gu Changfeng narrowed his sharp black eyes, his voice chillingly crisp: "An Muxin truly deserves death!"

Wu Ming said, "Mr. Jing, shall I take care of An Muxin for you?"

Gu Changfeng frowned and snapped at Qin Ming, "We don’t commit foolish cris. Are you looking to lose your job?"

Qin Ming felt wronged:

"I... I was just worried about our Seventh Young Lady. You don’t know, if she had been stabbed in a vital spot, she might’ve survived but lost her unborn child..."

Gu Changfeng’s breathing beca noticeably harsher.

His voice turned even colder and sharper: "What did you say? She’s pregnant?"

Qin Ming had assud Gu Changfeng already knew and responded:

"You...you didn’t know? Seventh Young Lady is almost five weeks pregnant." He hesitated, then added, "The father is that scumbag Huo Shaoyan."

Gu Changfeng’s expression instantly grew darker.

He stayed silent for a long while.

Qin Ming knew his mood must be dreadful, so he dared not say anything further to upset the man.

After nearly five minutes of silence, Gu Changfeng finally spoke coldly:

"Gather evidence of An Muxin instructing Cui Zhu to kill An Baoying. When the ti cos, we’ll use it to avenge the Qin Family’s destruction."

Qin Ming replied, "Understood."

...

In her hospital room, An Ge couldn’t sleep.

She thought about sothing—whether An Muxin might try to eliminate An Baoying in order to protect herself.

As she considered it, she realized the possibility was quite high.

So she lifted her blanket and got out of bed.

She found Anna’s phone number and dialed it.

Anna answered imdiately, asking, "What’s wrong?"

An Ge explained her thoughts to Anna, "Should we send soone to keep watch near An Baoying’s hospital room?"

Anna thought about it and replied:

"Although An Baoying deserves punishnt, she could serve as a witness to An Muxin’s cris. If she dies now, it would be a great loss!"

An Ge said, "I’ll have Xiao Liu keep watch near her hospital room."

Anna replied, "I’ll talk to Xiao Liu; you need to rest now." She paused, "Also, after today’s events, you’re showing signs of fetal distress. If you don’t want to lose this child, you’d better stay put and rest, no more running around."

To be honest, An Ge couldn’t bear to terminate the pregnancy.

So she told Anna, "Okay, you handle this then."

But it was too late.

Just an hour later, news arrived of An Baoying’s apparent suicide from jumping out of a window.

Anna received the news directly from Zhao Xiaoliu.

Zhao Xiaoliu was currently near the cri scene.

An Baoying had landed headfirst and died on impact, her body mangled beyond recognition.

They said her eyeballs had even popped out of their sockets—the scene was grueso.

Zhao Xiaoliu, standing at a distance, felt his hair stand on end after just one glimpse; it was horrifying even to him, let alone ordinary bystanders.

Zhao Xiaoliu relayed the scene to Anna and said:

"When it happened, the female officer guarding her hospital room was present. For now, it seems like An Baoying committed suicide out of guilt. But whether that’s true, further investigation is needed."

Anna thought for a mont and said, "Don’t inform An Ge of this yet. I’ll tell her tomorrow."

Zhao Xiaoliu: "Alright."

...

After accomplishing her task, Cui Zhu called An Muxin, reporting, "It’s done."

An Muxin finally felt a sense of relief.

Now, she could rest easy—there wouldn’t be any evidence left behind.

Relaxing slightly, An Muxin gave a rare smile and told Cui Zhu:

"You handled this well." She paused and then asked worriedly, "You didn’t leave any loose ends, did you?"

Cui Zhu replied:

"None. I simply blew so hallucinogen through her hospital room window. The substance is capable of montarily rousing even the gravely ill.

An Baoying inhaled the hallucinogen and then got up from her hospital bed. Afterward, she opened the window and jumped out. The entire process was flawless."

An Muxin arched a brow, "The new M-type hallucinogen is that effective?"

Cui Zhu responded, "So far, so good. When normal people inhale the scent, they lose all awareness but can be completely manipulated by the one controlling them."

An Muxin contemplated this and said:

"So if I used this hallucinogen to kill An Ge, wouldn’t the success rate be extrely high?"

Cui Zhu warned, "Miss, while that’s true, the hallucinogen isn’t without flaws. If this matter reaches the professor’s ears, it’ll be hard for us to explain."

An Muxin thought of the cold and unyielding professor and promptly abandoned the idea. "Understood."

After ending her call with Cui Zhu, An Muxin prepared to crawl into bed for a good night’s sleep when Gu Changfeng’s call ca through.

The sight of Gu Changfeng’s na on the screen imdiately set off alarm bells in her head.

She didn’t want to receive his call at all, but so unseen pressure compelled her to pick up.

After taking a few deep breaths, she answered his call.

Her tone was far from pleasant. "Why the hell are you calling so late at night?"

Imdiately, the man’s eerie and sinister voice ca through:

"No need to be so nervous, Miss. I just wanted to congratulate you."

An Muxin’s gut instantly signaled trouble, and her emotions spiraled out of control. "Congratulate ? Congratulations for what?"

Over the phone, the man let out a cold laugh:

"For successfully eliminating An Baoying, making sure there’s no evidence left to send you to prison."

These words struck An Muxin like a fatal blow.

Her terror overwheld her completely; even her ability to speak seed to vanish. All she could do was breathe rapidly, her panic escalating.
