Fu Rou was completely stunned.

An Ge continued, "Back then, I was pregnant with a pair of twins."

She paused for a mont, then her words turned sharp, piercing like a knife into Fu Rou’s heart, causing her both pain and regret.

"Sadly, they were forced to death by you, Huo Shaoyan, and his lovers. You are the murderers of them."

Fu Rou nearly collapsed to the ground.

At that mont, Huo Chenghuan and Huo Shiqian, hand in hand, walked out of the kindergarten. Fu Rou, with red-rimd eyes, looked at them.

As Huo Chenghuan passed by her, he asked curiously, "Pretty little grandma, why are you crying?"

Fu Rou tried hard to suppress the surge of grief within her.

She knelt down to say sothing to him, when Huo Shiqian whispered in her ear, "She’s the mother of Huo Dazha."

Upon hearing this, Huo Chenghuan snorted heavily, realizing it was the bad grandma who bullied his mommy.

Humph, she didn’t want to pay her any attention.

Thinking this, Huo Chenghuan turned his head and ignored Fu Rou.

She threw herself into An Ge’s arms, whining, "Mommy, hug ~"

An Ge doted on her a lot. Even though she was chubby and hard to hold, she still picked her up.

After lifting Huo Chenghuan up, she turned to Fu Rou and said,

"Lady Fu, please inform President Huo for . My children’s cord blood was already transported back from abroad. Whether I’m lying or not, you can take it back for testing."

Having said that, she took Huo Shiqian’s hand and was about to leave when she caught sight of Huo Huaisang also erging from the kindergarten.

The instant mother and son exchanged glances, An Ge’s heart twisted uncontrollably.

Huo Huaisang smiled at her, then gently shook his head, signaling her not to beco too intimate with him lest they be discovered.

An Ge found his maturity heart-wrenching, her eyes reddening slightly.

Fearing that Fu Rou might notice sothing unusual, she steeled herself and turned around, taking the children into the car.

Before the car engine started, Fu Rou rushed to the front of the vehicle, directly in its path.

An Ge squinted her eyes but didn’t press the accelerator.

Fu Rou quickly knocked on An Ge’s driver’s side window, her voice shaking with excitent, "I want to talk to you..."

An Ge rolled down the window, looking at her coldly, "Lady Fu, there’s nothing for us to discuss." She paused, "Please move aside."

Fu Rou took a deep breath, trying her best to calm her emotions.

After thinking for a mont, she said, "I won’t take up much of your ti, just five minutes, can I?"

An Ge looked ahead, not even glancing at her as she pressed the gas pedal and drove away.

The car quickly disappeared from sight, leaving Fu Rou to be engulfed by a wave of overwhelming coldness as she recalled the various wrongs she had done to An Ge in the past. Her face turned pale as though all color had drained away.

"Grandma, are you okay?"

Huo Huaisang’s voice snapped Fu Rou back to reality.

Fu Rou’s eyes were moist and red, looking at Huo Huaisang with loving eyes, her voice choking slightly, "Perhaps... grandma did sothing wrong."

Huo Huaisang looked at her and said, "The book says to recognize one’s mistakes and seek to rectify them can be imnsely beneficial; maybe there’s still a chance to make ands."

Fu Rou’s heart ached terribly, nearly bringing tears to her eyes.

She spoke wearily, "Huaisang, you’re still young, you don’t understand. Not all mistakes can be forgiven. So mistakes, once committed, are unforgivable sins."

She sighed heavily.

"Grandma might have committed an unforgivable sin."

Huo Huaisang was practically raised by Fu Rou.

His relationship with Fu Rou was closer than with Huo Shaoyan.

He comforted Fu Rou, "As Buddha says, ’Every cause has its effect.’ If you’ve planted evil seeds, you must use kindness to atone and seek redemption."

Fu Rou paused at his words.

Yes, every cause brings its effect.

The evil outco today wasn’t just because of her and Huo Shaoyan’s irrefutable responsibility; it was also due to the evil sowed by Bai ilan and An Baoying. They were the true villains.

With these thoughts, Fu Rou quickly collected herself.

She asked Huo Huaisang,

"Grandma asks you, if your mother is a vicious woman, and grandma sends her to prison, would you hate grandma?"

Huo Huaisang was already completely disillusioned with An Baoying, and since he knew his biological mother was soone else, he felt no attachnt.

Moreover, during the day at the kindergarten, Huo Chenghuan and Huo Shiqian had approached him and told him the whole truth.

It was An Baoying who had stolen him, separating him from his biological mother.

Just for that, Huo Huaisang wanted to personally send An Baoying to prison.

But that would be too easy on An Baoying.

His mother and younger sister had suffered so much; he couldn’t let An Baoying off so easily.

With these thoughts, Huo Huaisang said,

"Although she frequently abused behind your and father’s back—sotis poking with invisible steel needles, sotis feeding unknown drugs to make feverish, sotis locking in a water tank all night without letting out—

but she is still my birth mother. She can treat heartlessly, but I cannot be an ungrateful son. If she is indeed guilty, I do not wish for her to be imprisoned."

Fu Rou trembled with anger after hearing Huo Huaisang’s words.

She truly did not expect that An Baoying could do such vicious things to Huo Huaisang behind their backs.

Fu Rou couldn’t wait a second longer; she wanted right now to catch An Baoying and Bai ilan, to flay them alive.

Taking a deep breath and suppressing her rage, she gave an order to her bodyguard,

"Take the young master to Huo Mansion for Mrs. Huo to look after. I have matters to attend tonight."

After instructing the bodyguard, Fu Rou told Huo Huaisang, "Huaisang, grandma will co to Huo Mansion to pick you up tomorrow, okay?"

Huo Huaisang replied, "Okay."

After Huo Huaisang was taken away by the bodyguard, Fu Rou called Huo Shaoyan.

Huo Shaoyan initially ignored her calls.

Fu Rou grew anxious and texted him, ntioning it was about An Ge, which finally got his attention.

Fu Rou repeated An Ge’s ssage word for word to Huo Shaoyan, then said,

"She ntioned the children’s cord blood has been flown in from abroad. Ah Yan, she could truly have been pregnant with your children back then. We’ve committed a grave sin."

At that mont, [Huo Shaoyan had already exited the An Mansion in the Imperial City].

The annulnt of the engagent had not gone smoothly.

But in the end, Commander An still agreed to the annulnt.

However, due to the recent significant political turbulence in the Imperial City, Commander An was worried that the news of the annulnt would affect the current situation of the An Family at such a critical juncture. Therefore, he requested Huo Shaoyan to keep it a secret for the ti being and to make it public a month later.

Huo Shaoyan agreed.

Because the annulnt didn’t proceed smoothly, Huo Shaoyan’s mood was already bad. Hearing Fu Rou’s words made him even gloomier.

He had just stepped out the entrance of An Mansion and imdiately lit a cigarette before getting into a car.

He instructed the driver, Qin Lang, "To the airport."

After giving Qin Lang the instructions, he coldly and gravely said to Fu Rou, "What you’re saying now is aningless."

Fu Rou, filled with remorse and grief at the thought that she might have forced her own grandchildren to their deaths, wiped at her reddened eyes, her voice choked with emotion. "Ah Yan, I know you resent ..."

Before she could finish, Huo Shaoyan cut her off coldly,

"I’ve already said, speaking of this now is pointless." He paused, "If you really feel guilty, then from now on, stand with and help win her back. I want her to be my woman."

One issue at a ti.

If the truth was indeed as An Ge said, although Fu Rou felt guilty toward An Ge, that didn’t an An Ge was her ideal daughter-in-law.

Therefore, Fu Rou quickly stated,

"Ah Yan, you’re being foolish. It’s impossible for the two of you to patch things up. Between you, not to ntion the barrier of two innocent lives, considering how bad things got between you back then, there’s no way the flas can reignite."

Huo Shaoyan smoked furiously, his voice dark as water, "To sum it up, you just look down on her."

Fu Rou, having her thoughts exposed by Huo Shaoyan, didn’t bother to hide it.

She frankly admitted,

"Yes, I do look down on her. Leaving aside her humble background, her reputation is awful. Her unclear relations with so many n, bringing her in would have people gossiping endlessly..."

"I don’t care."

Fu Rou was infuriated.

She took a deep breath, retreating to advance,

"Ah Yan, given the situation, asking you to give her up is unrealistic. However you want to spoil her or raise her, I don’t mind. But the position of Mrs. Huo has to be An Muxin’s; that’s my bottom line."

Huo Shaoyan responded, "I’ve already proposed the annulnt to Commander An, and he has agreed."

Fu Rou nearly fainted from anger.

After calming down thoroughly, she said,

"Your grandfather’s current position in the Central Bureau is prominent and attracts a lot of attention from all sides; don’t you know this? You are his only grandson. If the Fu Family gets implicated because of your improper handling of personal matters,

the next massacre might just befall our family. For the sake of a woman unworthy of the stage, you’d risk the future of the entire Fu Family in a tomb, even if I died, I wouldn’t agree."

Having stated her position, Fu Rou hung up on Huo Shaoyan.

Huo Shaoyan smoked even more fiercely.

At eight in the evening, he appeared right on ti at the entrance of Fusheng Residence.

He was stopped by the security at the entrance.

Huo Shaoyan got out of the car, standing at the iron gate entrance.

Lighting a cigarette, he took out his phone to call An Ge.

His smoke-roughened voice was particularly hoarse, remarkably somber, "An An, I’m at your doorstep. Can we talk?"
