An Baoying nearly lost her footing the mont she saw Huo Shaoyan erge from the doorway.

She stamred, "Young Master Huo, you have to believe . I didn’t. How could I possibly abuse our son? If you don’t believe , ask Huaisang now. Ask him directly whether I did or didn’t."

Huo Huaisang was utterly disappointed in his mother.

He almost imdiately lifted his black shirt after she finished speaking, revealing three needle marks on his bleeding abdon.

When Huo Shaoyan approached him, he looked up and said, "This isn’t the first ti she’s used that steel needle on ."

Huo Shaoyan’s face darkened, his voice cold and severe, "Why didn’t you ever tell ?"

"Because she’s my mom. I didn’t want you two to fight."

Huo Huaisang explained his reason, but quickly added, "But it won’t be like that anymore. I don’t need a mother like that."

Huo Shaoyan’s heart twisted with a myriad of emotions.

He asked, "Does it hurt?"

Huo Huaisang shook his head, "It doesn’t. I’m used to it."

His nonchalant remark ignited a surge of anger in Huo Shaoyan. As soon as Huo Huaisang finished speaking, he coldly turned his gaze to An Baoying and said, "You vicious woman. You don’t even spare your own son. Do you have a death wish?"

An Baoying cried, "No, Young Master Huo, listen to my explanation... I’ve been dealing with depression recently, and the doctor says I’m not ntally sound... I..."

An Ge’s primary agenda upon her return to the country was revenge. An Baoying was her first target. There was no way she was going to let such a golden opportunity pass by.

She interrupted An Baoying, sneering, "Really? All I’ve heard is that severe depression patients self-harm. I’ve never heard of them abusing their flesh and blood."

Then, as if rembering sothing, she said, "Oh, I just recalled sothing."

At that mont, everyone looked at her, including Huo Shaoyan.

An Ge locked eyes with him, curved her lips, and smiled, "I suddenly rembered you’re my wretched ex-husband."

Huo Shaoyan: "..."

An Ge continued, "Sorry, the sins you caused to endure were too deep. And people are creatures that seek benefits and avoid harm. Over the years, to escape the pain you caused , my subconscious chose to forget the bad mories with you. Ex-husband, been a while, hasn’t it?"

Finishing her words, she laughed and said to the ashen-faced An Baoying, "They say even a vicious tiger doesn’t eat its cubs. To secure the position of Mrs. Huo, you used your own son and even hard him severely."

With aning in her voice, she added, "Could it be that Young Master Huo isn’t even your son?"

Upon hearing this, An Baoying lost control and retorted, "An Ge, stop spreading lies. Huaisang is the child I carried and gave birth to ten months later. I nearly died on the operating table giving birth to him back then..."

An Ge laughed and interrupted, "Really? But how co Sister Li told what you bore wasn’t President Huo’s child at all?"

At those words, An Baoying’s eyes widened in fright.

"An Ge, it’s been five years. Why do you still oppose today? When your mother, Wen Ning, died, my mom, dad, and I all apologized to you. Why? Why won’t you let go? Your marriage with Young Master Huo didn’t fall apart because of . How can you direct your resentnt for Young Master Huo at ? How can you say such things in front of my son?"

Compared to the out-of-control An Baoying, An Ge appeared unusually calm. Not only calm, but she was like an elegant and noble cat, lazy and enchanting.

She languidly declared to An Baoying, "Elder sister, the true cannot be false, and the false cannot be true. Five years ago, on the day I gave birth, a fire broke out. Before Sister Li escaped with one of my children, she told everything.

She said the child you bore was not President Huo’s, but mine was. To secure the position of Mrs. Huo, under Bai ilan’s scheming, you intended to steal my child. The first practical action you took was during the amniocentesis DNA paternity test when Sister Li swapped out my amniotic fluid sample, which resulted in the false DNA test back then. So..."

Saying this, amidst An Baoying’s shock, An Ge turned her gaze on Huo Shaoyan, whose emotions had beco turbulent.

His phoenix eyes seed tinged with blood, and an intense, complex emotion surged from his depths.

Taking in his every expression, An Ge smirked sarcastically, "So, President Huo, is the Young Master Huo before you really yours? I suggest you find the ti to conduct a paternity test."

Pausing briefly, she added, "After all, you drove our child to a dead end with your own hands and are now raising soone else’s child. Doesn’t seem appropriate, does it?"

An Ge’s words seed to awaken An Baoying, who was on the brink of collapse. Young Master Huo was actually Huo Shaoyan’s biological son, so An Baoying was not afraid of him conducting the DNA test.

This realization made her suprely confident as she calmly said to Huo Shaoyan after An Ge had finished, "Young Master Huo, whether you believe or not, I must say, Huaisang is my flesh and blood, and An Ge’s words are nothing but nonsense..."

Huo Shaoyan didn’t have ti to deal with An Baoying right now.

He made a phone call, summoning Qin Lang.

In two minutes, Qin Lang arrived with two bodyguards.

Stoic-faced, Huo Shaoyan instructed Qin Lang, "From now on, keep An Baoying and her family under house arrest. Without my permission, they are not to take a step out of An Residence."

Pausing for a mont, he shifted his gaze to Huo Huaisang and instructed once more, "Conduct a paternity test for and Huaisang."

An Baoying was soon taken away by the bodyguards Qin Lang brought with him. Huo Huaisang was also personally escorted away by Qin Lang.

After everything, Huo Shaoyan finally feigned a sense of calm as he faced An Ge, "Can we talk?"

An Ge curved her lips slightly, "I don’t see much to discuss with President Huo."

Finishing her words, she turned to leave, but Huo Shaoyan swiftly grabbed her wrist, pulling her back.

Surrounded by the dazzling neon lights, the woman had a faint smile on her face, but it was not a genuine smile. It was a deep mockery directed at him.

He heard her cold voice declare, "President Huo, if you don’t let go, I’ll call the police."

Huo Shaoyan gulped, finally releasing her porcelain-like wrist after a long mont, his voice hoarse with suppressed emotion.

"So, Huanhuan and that boy Ah Qian, they are my children, aren’t they?"

An Ge laughed aloud, "You guess?"

With those words, An Ge turned and walked away.

Huo Shaoyan quickly pursued her.

Her steps slowed, as she turned around.

There was no trace of a smile on her face now as she coldly warned him, "Don’t follow anymore." Pausing for a mont, "I managed to disappear without a trace for five years; I can do it for ten more or even a lifeti so you’d never find again."

Huo Shaoyan’s chest quivered violently.

Deep within his eyes burned a dark fla that grew increasingly intense before being forcibly extinguished.

After a long silence, he croaked out, "We have been a couple after all. For the sake of our past, can’t you not be like this?"

An Ge laughed again. Compared to five years ago when she was skin and bones, she now resembled a newly ascended goddess, blazing with radiance.

She was so beautiful, it was stunning enough to make her seem unreachable to him.

Huo Shaoyan felt his heart constrict with her expanding smile, churning a layer of pain.

He listened as she used the gentlest voice to utter the most indifferent words, "I don’t recall any fondness between President Huo and . Perhaps President Huo can help rember?"

Huo Shaoyan said, "I admit, back then it was my fault for..."

"Don’t say more, President Huo."

An Ge did not wish to hear his so-called repentance, for compared to the agony she suffered, it was cheap and unworthy of ntion.

Thus, she interrupted him, "Our past burned clean during the fire five years ago. I feel no resentnt toward President Huo, so I ask that he does not entangle with again. I have a harmonious relationship and a satisfying intimate life with my current boyfriend. Our family of four is happily living together. The happiness he brings far outweighs any hatred toward you. So, President Huo, please respect yourself."

It was as if Huo Shaoyan hadn’t heard her words at all. His voice remained calm, but his heart felt like it was bleeding, "Where do you live? I’ll take you back. Also, can I et your current boyfriend?"
