Samson and Thomas quickly returned to the 3RM special room after the interrogation.
"It’s only a matter of ti before the police discover my involvent in Desmond death," Samson fretted, pacing with tension. "Fuck! I’ll be going to prison. I’m just seventeen years old
"Stay calm, Samson. Just keep quiet, and we’ll find soone to take the bla," Thomas reassured, placing a hand on Samson’s shoulder.
"Soone to take the bla? What about the CCTV caras in the arena? Won’t they reveal the truth?" Samson questioned.
"Do you really think you wouldn’t have been caught if the CCTV cara was still working? Thomas asked, causing Samson to raise a curious eyebrow.
"What are you trying to say?" Samson inquired.
"Sotis you act without considering the consequences. If I hadn’t disabled the CCTV caras, do you think your secret wouldn’t have been discovered by now?" Thomas revealed with a heavy sigh. "I witnessed you pushing Desmond into the pool, seeing the water turn red, and then trying to save him only to realize he was already dead." Thomas continued, shocking Samson to the core.
"So, you disabled the CCTV caras? I’m not going to prison?" Samson asked, his eyebrows raised up in curiousity trying to confirm what he heard again.
"Yes, after you pushed Desmond back into the pool and fled when you realized he was dead. I had to go to the security room and disable all the caras." Thomas explained as he took a seat on the sofa, with Samson joining him.
"Thank you, Thomas. I was terrified that my secret would co out. I didn’t intend to kill him; it was just in the heat of the mont." Samson sobbed as he leaned on Thomas’s shoulder.
The door to the special 3RM room swung open, and Lucas, Mark, Aiden, Olive, and Henry entered, locking it behind them. They all sat on the sofa.
"Why the tears?" Lucas asked, prompting Samson to quickly wipe them away.
"Just feeling sad," Samson replied, swallowing hard.
"That’s your problem," Lucas said with a heavy sigh.
"Why are they here?" Thomas asked angrily, looking at Henry and Olive.
"Don’t start. We’re all suspects in Desmond’s death, so it’s best to stick together," Mark interjected.
"Fine! I threw the trophy into the pool but I didn’t an to harm anyone, but soone pushed him in, leading to his death. Now I’m the pri suspect until the real murderer is caught," Lucas revealed with frustration.
"I’m certain it was you. You killed Desmond," Henry said angrily.
"I could say the sa to you. Did you kill your friend so that you could get the scholarship?" Mark retorted with a smirk.
"I would never do that to my best friend." Henry replied imdiately.
"You and Lucas are the main suspects. You both need to work together to uncover the real culprit, or else you will always be under suspicion. If you’re not careful, you could end up being arrested for Desmond’s murder." Mark’s tone was cold and serious.
"If the CCTV caras at the arena hadn’t been destroyed, the police might have already found the real culprit." Olive added. " It was the sa when Samuel died – all the caras were destroyed."
"We know Miss Aie was responsible for his death, but this case is different. Who would have wanted to kill Desmond so badly?" Mark questioned.
"What if he accidentally slipped and fell into the pool" Samson suggested nervously.
"That’s unlikely. The pool had rails around it, so even if he fell, he would have hit the floor, not fallen into the pool. Desmond was definitely pushed." Mark’s expression was grave.
’Damn! This situation is more serious than I anticipated. Who could be behind this?’ Olive pondered with a heavy heart.
The group lapsed into silence, each consud by their own thoughts. They understood the importance of working together to unravel the mystery surrounding Desmond’s death. But the question remained - who could they rely on?
"We need to conduct an investigation," Lucas declared after a mont. "Interact with people, gather evidence. We can’t just wait around for the authorities to solve this."
"I agree," Mark added. "But we must proceed with caution. If the perpetrator is still at large, they might be observing us."
"We successfully uncovered the truth behind Samson’s death before. I believe we can do the sa for Desmond’s case," Lucas asserted confidently.
"Are you suggesting that we should go to the arena?" Olive inquired, her eyebrows raised in curiosity. "We’re in school, not on vacation, how can we just leave like that?"
"It’s simple. We’ll climb the fence. It’s not that hard. I refuse to sit here and be falsely accused of a cri I had no part in while the real culprit is out there." Lucas exclaid, his expression filled with anger, sending shivers down Samson’s spine.
"I’m going to make sure that person who killed Desmond pays for it." Henry added, clenching his fists.
"We’ll head to the arena tonight. Maybe we can find so evidence." Mark stated with determination. "Let’s all go back to our dorms not but we et up at 10 pm tonight."
"I need to grab so food from the cafeteria to have strength for tonight operation." Mark added as he got up, followed by Lucas and Aiden.
The group agreed and started to disperse. Samson and Thomas exchanged a worried look.
"Let’s go together. I need to grab a few things too." Lucas said, placing a hand on Mark’s shoulder, while Aiden held his hand, leading them towards the door while Olive and Henry followed.
As they left the 3RM special room, Samson turned to Thomas and whispered, "I’m scared. What if we get caught?"
Thomas reassured him, "We’ll be fine. We just need to watch out for each other."
"Oh, I just rembered. I lost the wristwatch our father gave us on our sixteenth birthday. I think I left it at the pool." Samson confessed, fear evident on his face.
"Why didn’t you ntion it earlier? But don’t worry, we’ll retrieve it tonight, so don’t worry." Thomas scolded, giving Samson a painful knock on the head.
"Let’s grab sothing to eat as well." Thomas suggested, leading the way to the door with Samson by his side.
But even as they walked out, Samson couldn’t shake off the lingering fear in his heart.
