It was Mark’s turn, and he was called into the interrogation room.

"Where were you an hour ago?" Officer Blackwood began the questioning as she sat down in front of Mark, with Officer Johnson beside her.

"I rember being in the toilet," Mark replied, tears still streaming down his cheeks.

"Did you see Samuel walk into the mansion?" Officer Johnson inquired, his eyes focused on Mark.

"I didn’t know the exact ti he arrived, but he ca to the toilet and we had a chat," Mark responded.

"Was it just the two of you in the toilet?" Officer Johnson asked, raising an eyebrow.

"There was only one toilet, and he urgently entered, telling he needed to pee, which I allowed. That was the first ti I saw him at the party until I ca out of the toilet ten minutes later, only to find him dead," Mark replied.

"Why were you in the toilet for over ten minutes?" Officer Johnson asked, raising an eyebrow as he scribbled on paper.

"I just wanted so ti alone. I needed to be by myself. I had confessed my feelings to a girl at the party and got rejected. Aiden knows about it," Mark explained.

"Who’s Aiden?" Officer Johnson inquired.

"He’s my friend. I told him I was going to the toilet," Mark confird.

A female police officer with black hair entered the interrogation room and handed a docunt to Officer Blackwood, who then reviewed it before she left.

Officer Blackwood opened the docunt, which contained hospital reports regarding Samuel’s death.

"According to this report, Samuel was drugged and had an injury on his forehead, indicating he was pushed from upstairs," Officer Blackwood revealed.

"Drugged? How did that happen?" Mark exclaid, his eyes wide with shock.

"The murderer drugged Samuel before stabbing him in the chest and pushing him down the stairs during the party." Officer Blackwood continued.

"Did you perhaps drug Samuel in the bathroom and then you both went upstairs where you stabbed him and pushed him off the stairs after which you went to inform your other friends about his death," Officer Johnson questioned with a serious expression on his face.

"No!!! Mark replied bluntly. "The toilet where I t Samuel is located downstairs. He even left the toilet before . I ca out of the toilet later only to et his dead body hence I didn’t go upstairs until I knew about death and went to inform Austin his boyfriend. Mark’s body trembled with fear, tears streaming down his cheeks.

"There are other witnesses to interview. Thank you for your cooperation, Mark." Officer Blackwood escorted Mark out of the interrogation room.

It was Aiden’s turn, and he was brought in for questioning.

"Where were you an hour ago?" Officer Johnson began with a serious gaze settled on Austin.

"I was at the party," Aiden replied, with sadness written all over his face.

"So you saw Samuel enter the mansion?" Officer Blackwood raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, we talked and had a drink before he went to the toilet." Aiden’s statent made Officer Johnson and Officer Blackwood exchange a knowing look.

"You both had drinks together?" Officer Blackwood asked.

"Yes!" Aiden replied, tears flowing down his cheeks.

"So, you drugged him? Can you explain why you drugged him?" Officer Johnson inquired, with a serious look on his face.

"Drugged him??? I would never do that. Why would I?" Austin interjected.

"The report indicates that Samuel was drugged before being stabbed," Officer Blackwood added.

"So, are you suggesting that I drugged him? I have no issues with him, so why would I drug him?" Austin asked.

"Are you saying you drug people you have disagreents with?" Officer Johnson questioned with a smirk.

"No! Don’t twist my words, officer. We both had the sa drink. In fact, he was the one who poured the drink for and Lara." Aiden replied, confidently.

"Who is Lara?" Officer Johnson futher inquired.

"She’s a friend of Arthur’s. Mark actually invited her to the party." Aiden replied with a heavy sigh.

" Why did he invite her? I thought the party was only for Belmont High School students." Officer Blackwood continued with the questioning, her eyebrows raised curiously waiting for an answer.

"Yes! Mark has a crush on Lara. He invited her over to talk to her, but she ended up rejecting him." Aiden replied.

Officer Blackwood and Officer Johnson shared a look before focusing their attention back on Aiden.

"Thank you for your cooperation. We will contact you again if we need to ask more questions," Officer Blackwood said as she escorted Aiden out of the interrogation room.

All the other students at the party were also questioned and soon the interrogation was over.

During the interrogations, the police station compound had already been filled with luxury cars as the students’ parents arrived to pick them up.

"Alright! The students are not allowed to leave the country until the investigation is completed and the culprit is identified. Therefore, every student who was present at the party is considered a suspect, according, Officer Blackwood addresses the parents who all had a worried expression on their faces.

"Why are they all suspects and why can’t they travel until the investigation is finished? What if they have important reasons to travel?" Mrs. George questioned.

"We will consider the student who leaves the country as the potential culprit. To avoid any embarrassnt, we recomnd that these students stay in the country and cooperate with the investigation by showing up at the station when required," Officer Johnson explained. "You can now take your children ho."

"Olive, are you okay?" Mr. Williams asked softly, embracing Olive who was still in tears. "Everything will be alright."

Mrs. Williams also comforted Lara by hugging her.

"I specifically instructed you not to leave the house, but you three decided to sneak out anyway, huh?" Mrs. George yelled angrily, glaring at Lucas, Mark, and Aiden.

"Save the lectures for when you get ho. This is a police station," Officer Johnson retorted. Mrs. George then stood up from her chair and walked out, with Lucas, Mark, and Aiden trailing behind her.

Other parents also escorted their children ho in their luxury cars, and soon the police station returned to its peaceful state.

Austin’s eyes widened as he stepped out of the G-Wagon jeep and onto the mansion’s driveway. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adam, followed closely behind him. Austin’s gaze locked onto a stunning woman with blonde hair, dressed in an elegant floral gown and diamond necklace, tears streaming down her face. She was being comforted by a man in a blue suit with black curly hair.

"What are they doing here?" Austin exclaid, his anger and grief simring.

"Calm down, Austin," his father reassured him. "I invited Mr. and Mrs. Robert to stay with us temporarily since their house is a cri scene. It wouldn’t be right to send them to a hotel when we have plenty of space here."

Austin’s eyes narrowed. "So you could abandon your business now that your son is gone?" he spat, his tone venomous.

Mrs. Adam placed a gentle hand on his arm. "Austin, please. Mr. and Mrs. Robert are grieving. They just lost their child. I know Samuel was your boyfriend and you’re hurting, but his parents are hurting too."

Austin’s gaze never left Samuel’s parents. "They lost a child because of their neglect. And now that they’ve lost him, they could abandon their business, which they value so much more than their only son, and co back to this country."

"I just can’t understand why so people who don’t appreciate children are blessed with them, while others who would give everything for a child pray endlessly but never receive an answer."

"Listen to , both of you," Austin said, staring at Mr. and Mrs. Robert who were still crying. "You are responsible for Samuel’s death."

The air was thick with tension as Austin’s words hung in the air. Then, without another glance, he turned and walked upstairs, leaving both sets of parents speechless.
