Aiden and the others nodded in agreent, their steps slow but steady as they moved toward the Lamborghini parked just before the hospital. Together they all entered while the chauffeur took his position at the wheel, driving the car out of the hospital building into the tiled street.
Unbeknownst to them, the calm of their mont would not last. Back at Belmont, Anabella’s plan was already in motion, and Olive’s life was on the brink of a storm she couldn’t yet see.
The sleek Lamborghini pulled up to the restaurant, its engine purring softly before shutting off. Inside, the group of friends exchanged tired glances, a wave of relief washing over them. The hospital visit had been emotionally draining, and the promise of good food and a warm atmosphere was exactly what they needed to lift their spirits.
The restaurant, aptly nad Starlight Restaurant, was a popular spot in the city known for catering to high-class clientele. Its exterior was understated yet inviting, with a simple façade that masked the elegance within. The building itself was designed in a charming, rustic style, featuring a sloping roof and tasteful wooden accents.
"This is so beautiful." Lara said as she gazed around, taking in the magnificent view.
"Yeah. It’s one of the best restaurants hence there’s no way it’s interior wouldn’t be screaming of wealth." Mark chid in with a warm smile.
A cozy patio area was adorned with vibrant potted plants and chic outdoor seating, perfect for sunny afternoons. The soft glow of lanterns illuminated the space, adding a touch of romance to the setting.
"All right, let’s grab sothing to eat!" Lucas exclaid, his voice bright with excitent. He reached out and grabbed Aiden’s hand, pulling him toward the entrance. Mark quickly took Aiden’s other hand, while Olive linked arms with Lucas, and Lara latched onto Mark’s. Together, the five friends made their way inside.
The mont they stepped through the door, they were enveloped by the cozy ambiance of the restaurant. The interior was warm and inviting, with polished wood tones and soft, ambient lighting creating an intimate atmosphere. Vintage cooking utensils hung on the walls, interspersed with colorful artwork that added character to the space.
The rich aroma of freshly baked bread and roasting ats filled the air, making their stomachs growl in unison. A server, a young woman with a bright smile and neatly pressed uniform, greeted them warmly and guided them to a cozy corner table by the window. The table offered a perfect view of the bustling city street, its lights twinkling like stars against the evening sky.
Once seated, the group eagerly picked up the nus, their eyes scanning the enticing selection. The nu was a culinary journey around the globe, featuring dishes that ranged from classic Italian pasta to spicy Asian stir-fries.
Still feeling a bit weak from his earlier treatnt, Aiden opted for sothing light. "I’ll take this," he said, pointing to a photo of a steaming bowl of chicken soup on the nu.
Lucas and Mark leaned over to inspect his choice, their expressions growing serious. "Let’s make sure this is okay with the doctor’s advice," Mark murmured. After a mont’s consideration, the two nodded in unison.
"Good call," Lucas said with a smile. "We’ll have the sa."
The server jotted down their order before passing the nu to Olive and Lara, who were seated across from the trio. As the two girls skimd the nu, their eyes widened in shock.
"A thousand dollars for rice and chicken?!" Olive exclaid, her voice rising in disbelief.
"Are they serious?" Lara added, her tone incredulous as she flipped through the nu again, searching for sothing more reasonably priced. "This is insane!"
Lucas snatched the nu from their hands with an exasperated sigh. "Relax," he said, turning to the server, who stood patiently by their table. "Get them the Chinese rice and chicken, please. Thanks."
The server nodded with a warm smile. "Of course, sir. I’ll have it out shortly."
As she walked away, Olive shot Lucas a pointed look. "This place is ridiculously expensive," she muttered, folding her arms across her chest.
Lucas leaned back in his chair, his expression calm but firm. "This is one of the best and most popular restaurants in the country. Only the elite dine here. You can’t expect their food to co cheap."
"But..." Lara started, only for Lucas to cut her off with a sigh.
"Just forget about the prices and enjoy the al when it gets here. We’re here for Aiden, to celebrate the start of his second treatnt. That’s what matters tonight."
Olive and Lara exchanged a look, then reluctantly nodded. They sat quietly, fidgeting with their napkins as they waited for their als.
Minutes later, the server returned, balancing a tray laden with steaming dishes. The rich scents of their als wafted through the air, making their mouths water. One by one, the plates were set before them, each dish plated to perfection.
"Enjoy your als young masters and young miss." The woman said with a warm smile before turning away to take her leave.
"Shall we?" Mark asked, with a excited expression. His question was answered by an outburst of laughter from the others who were more than ready.
Without hesitation, they dug in, the clinking of silverware and occasional murmurs of appreciation breaking the silence. The food was every bit as delicious as the restaurant’s reputation suggested.
Lara, looked up with a small smile as she took her first spoonful of Chinese rice. "This... is really good,"s he said softly, her voice filled with gratitude.
Lucas grinned, his earlier frustration lting away. "Told you. The best for the best, right?"
"Yeah but it’s still fucking expensive." Olive chid in as she rolled her eyes away but Lucas only let out a light chuckle.
As they ate, the conversation flowed more easily, the tension from the day slowly dissipating. By the ti they finished their al, the group was laughing and joking like old tis, their spirits finally lifted.
