The portal didn’t just pop up out of nowhere.
It materialized slowly.
But for it to complete itself, it needed ti and qi, spending both of them at the sa ti.
The process itself was easy for Noa.
Nothing new happened.
Just the usual store shaking, the air changing directions, and a pretty sight he loved to watch.
Yun Qiqi shared the sa feeling.
She jumped back and forth, excited as she was about to et Mia again.
Every morning, she waited for the evening to co. Her wish to et her big sister rose each day, causing her heart to beat with passion.
"Are you ready?" Noa asked her, offering her a hand.
The girl blinked at him for a second. Then she took his hand and smiled, pointing for Puff and Umbu to follow as well.
The latter climbed up on Noa’s shoulder. He took a comfortable seat and glanced at the still half-finished portal, waiting for its completion.
The forr neared the girl.
Though the sli ca to like Umbu, he didn’t really want to travel with him.
Hence, he allowed the girl to hold him in her other hand.
The room, anwhile, went silent.
It wasn’t Qing Xuan’s and Xue Hanly’s first ti seeing Noa opening the portal and going through another dinsion.
Yet, each ti it happened, they couldn’t help but feel fascinated by it.
How energy seed to wrap in a single location.
The threads of qi and the laws of the universe seed to mix, creating sothing so... foreign, new, and unexplainable.
Its colors folded together with purpose just to emit a strong spiritual pressure.
Each eye that landed on this phenonon couldn’t move.
They were frozen by its sheer fullness and beauty, forcing everyone who looked at it to marvel at its excellence.
Noa’s employees might have seen it before, but the store had other people, too.
The guards who had t Noa only monts ago.
A rich woman, whose enhanced vision sought to read through the inscriptions and failed spectacularly.
No matter who the person was, they couldn’t move.
The rift opened like a tear in space.
It lingered like a scar and expanded like a dead star before an explosion.
No external forces were used in the process. His simple movent was enough for reality itself to give way, following his whims.
Then, without a single word, Noa stepped forward.
Umbu remained on his shoulders, while Qiqi walked beside him, holding his hand in one and carrying Puff with the other.
The twirling portal didn’t exclude terrifying pressure.
It just had an eerie stillness, causing the spectators to gulp in uncertainty.
Mo Yuhua’s heart skipped a beat as she watched Noa leave. She stared without blinking her focused eyes.
Then she noticed how the rift swallowed him and his companions.
Gone!
Like nature.
Silent. Indifferent.
The tear remained open just a second longer before collapsing into the store, leaving no trace of its existence.
She, too, like her guards, stood motionless.
None of them spoke for a little while, falling into their own thoughts.
They had long since realized that the store didn’t belong to a human... It’s just that they couldn’t dare to search for a better definition.
The silence only crumbled when Xue Hanly and Qing Xuan snapped out of their daze.
They were the first ones to regain their composure and guided Mo Yuhua towards the next products she had to try.
Noa, on the other hand, enjoyed the travel.
The well-cooked steak’s scent still lingered on his way to Earth, watering his mouth.
One mont later, the nothingness disappeared from his vision.
It was replaced by a familiar atmosphere, with a cold breeze gently tickling his skin, as if announcing that he was back on his ho planet.
Smiling under his breath, Noa patted the little fellow.
"Ra-ra! Raaa!"
Umbu locked eyes with him and made strange noises.
"Chii-chii-chii!"
It didn’t just end there, as the dragon enjoyed the trip and wholeheartedly expressed his emotions.
"Soone is excited," Noa said, already walking through the park. "We are going to et Mia. You will play with her this ti, right?"
The dragon flipped his wings.
Then it chirped, shaking its tail and head at the sa ti.
"Umbu is quite stubborn," Yun Qiqi comnted, and poked the sli, who didn’t react much.
It had a familiar smile plastered.
His body jiggled between her fingers, bouncing with no desire to leave her side.
"We should help these two," Noa said, reaching the stairs. He ant his sister and the dragon, thinking about how to solve the awkwardness between them. "You have a knack for that."
Noa knew how talented Yun Qiqi was at handling others’ emotions.
She could influence moods, shift perspectives, and even alter the relationships between people.
And she did it instinctively.
That’s why everyone who had interacted with and had seen her smile even once could agree how adorable she was.
It felt like she had authority over sothing.
Sothing Noa couldn’t explain, but felt every ti his eyes landed on her.
’Is it because of Seed?’ he considered.
The girl, anwhile, looked at him with wide eyes.
She sensed how much trust he had for her, basking in a sudden pride that swelled in her chest.
"You can trust . Yun Qiqi will make sure to solve the problem."
Her voice was high.
She even raised her head, showing her confidence.
Noa, however, watched her when a sudden voice reverberated through the building he had just entered.
"Chii-chii-chii!"
Umbu chid in.
He buried his head behind Noa’s head, hiding from the strangers.
"It’s okay, buddy. Don’t be afraid."
Noa whispered like a dad.
And ascending the stairs, his mind was filled with thoughts as he finally reached the familiar door.
But before he knocked, the door snapped open on its own.
Mia stood there.
Her hair was a little ssy, her face witty, and her voice full of mischief.
"Co on in. I have a present for you."
A thin blanket was wrapped around her stomach as her eyes locked onto Umbu.
