A pause.

Noa blinked. Then, quietly thought, looking at the woman’s ice-cold eyes.

’...She wants Umbu, huh?’

The woman nad Mo Yuhua didn’t even try to hide her curiosity, her expression showing everything Noa needed to know.

Still, he ignored her interest and smiled.

"Let show you my latest product. I am sure you’ll love it," Noa said, guiding her towards the shelves.

Mo Yuhua grinned under her breath.

She didn’t comnt on his actions, but her eyes lingered on Noa, specifically aiming at Umbu.

Of course, she noticed the dragon and wanted to purchase it.

However, seeing how Noa blatantly ignored her interest, she didn’t push the matter—at least not for now.

"This is the Lucky Beast Box, and each one has a unique beast snack, toy, and pencil inside," he explained, pointing at the colorful boxes.

The woman narrowed her eyes.

"That’s sothing for children!" a guard mumbled behind her, glaring at Noa.

He was full of malicious intent, searching for reasons to argue and challenge the store owner.

His mistress didn’t react.

Mo Yuhua remained calm, her gaze darting between Noa and the product.

She had wealth, power, and everything else these two could offer, allowing her to live a lavish lifestyle.

But she also liked enjoying the strangeness of the world.

Not only did Mo Yuhua collect peculiar artifacts and often spend a huge amount of money, but she also loved discovering new things.

So when she saw a new store in the city, she had to visit it.

Especially when there were weird, almost hushed rumors about it.

Karma wasn’t slacking off, working to suppress any malicious rumors from spreading around the store, but when people talked about the Blooming Iron Sect, word was bound to get out.

With eyes scanning the shelves and Noa alike, she nodded slightly.

Her heavy perfu assaulted Noa’s nose.

It made him dizzy, almost making him stumble over his legs.

"I would like to try one," Mo Yuhua said softly, as if even her voice were too precious to be strained.

Noa flung into action.

Normally, it was Xue Hanly’s responsibility to look after the custors.

Yet he still worked sotis.

It ca down to the fact that Noa enjoyed conversing with odd individuals and making connections with them.

This style of his had always served its purpose.

So he had no reason to hesitate about how he would act.

Crouching in front of the shelf, scrutinizing the rows of simply arranged boxes, he reached out and picked one up.

A mystery package glowed with his touch.

Standing still, he turned to the woman and extended it toward her without a word.

She raised an eyebrow.

Her interest grew upon noticing how the runes shifted on the box.

The guards who had made remarks earlier took it in her stead and approached the counter Noa had pointed to.

Qing Xuan and Xue Hanly greeted them with a smile.

They wanted to maximize the custor’s enjoynt, quickly scanning the item.

"Congrats on the purchase and good luck," the forr said.

Only after the woman took the product did Noa speak again, advising her to open it inside the store.

Her companions didn’t lower their guard.

She, however, narrowed her eyes with interest, slowly unpacking the box. Inside, just like Noa had promised, rested a small toy beast.

It was a miniature, plush-shaped small leopard with clouds around it.

Everything about it looked luxurious.

And glowing like it was carved from pure gold, the toy also had adorable fangs with stitched ornants.

Beside the plushie, a neatly bound beast snack exuded warmth.

It looked like it was made of candy, but its rich aroma caused her mouth to water, forcing her to take a quick bite.

Her guards didn’t expect her to act so rashly.

They caught her hands, but it was too late; the juice of the jelly had already overwheld her mouth.

It popped on her tongue.

The soft texture and faint taste of herbal sweetness caused her body to tremble with joy.

Then—

Her expression froze.

And just before her loyal guards started worrying about her condition, a wave of comforting warmth moved through her chest.

She gulped.

She gulped again and took another bite.

This ti, she chewed it quicker, almost forgetting the exuberant taste.

She exhaled and gulped again, acting like her only mission was to devour as much jelly as she could.

Thin threads of dark clouds drifted from her skin.

It happened suddenly, easing her expression.

The clouds thinned even more and turned into a black mist, floating far from her. They were barely visible, odorless, and fading the mont they touched the air.

She exhaled once.

Seeing this, Noa guessed what was happening.

’Toxins from her heart and blood,’ he noted, not blinking. ’The jelly purified her, but Karma detected instantly and vaporized them.’

"...Poison?" one guard asked, his hand ready to hurl into action.

Imdiately, the woman shook her head. "Feels like I cleansed my body from every filth there is in this world. I-I feel so clean and..."

She tried to find more words, better expressions to explain what she went through.

"Refreshed," Noa aided her casually. "Because that was what truly happened. Every cell that was on the verge of dying found fresh energy to live."

He paused, considering sothing.

[Ten years,] the system whispered in his head, proving how useful it could be. Sotis.

Noa coughed.

"I would say it gave you at least ten extra years of life. What a luck, right?"

The woman blinked repeatedly.

His words sounded like a load of crap, but her senses couldn’t lie. She felt more alive, lighter, and younger.

Her desire to argue vanished instantly.

What sounded like a lie was proved by her body alone, making her composed expression crumble montarily.

The rumors...

They were true.

They all ntioned a mysterious being from the weird store.

So had seen him walking with Wei Rou—the previous guild leader of the Blooming Iron Sect, and the man’s behavior had been nothing short of polite, to say the least.

So had seen him with Feng Fan.

A man so mysterious and scary that even the big-na cultivators stayed out of his radar.

But he, too, showed reverence to Noa.

Now this entity stood in front of Mo Yuhua, and she had no idea how to react.
