"Gotcha!" Gilgash caught up with the Deviant that was trying to run away, grabbed its tail, and laughed loudly as he watched it struggle.

But just then, a silver whip fell from the sky and struck the Deviant on the head, killing it instantly.

Gilgash was surprised. With his sharp eyes, he could see that it wasn't really a whip—it was ten rings connected by a special kind of energy.

Even more surprising was the energy itself. It felt very familiar to him. Even though it looked different, it was clearly the sa cosmic energy that the Eternals used.

Could the person who attacked him also be an Eternal?

It wasn't impossible. Eternals were created by the Celestials to help bring new Celestials into the universe, but there wasn't just one Celestial, so it made sense that there might be more groups of Eternals.

More importantly, during an earlier conversation with Odin, Gilgash had learned that a group of Eternals had once broken free from the control of the Celestials. They had even created their own race and built a civilization.

So lately, Gilgash had been thinking a lot about what future path might be possible for the remaining Eternals.

Now, seeing this new person who might be one of them, he followed the trail of the ten rings—and saw a tall, strong Asian man who looked as good as he did... What? You don't think he's handso? Say that again and he'll slap you, believe it or not.

"Are you an Eternal?" Gilgash asked, trying to figure out who this man was.

"You are Gilgash? The King of Heroes?" the man replied, narrowing his eyes as he looked at Gilgash. It was Xu Wenwu.

"Hehe, King of Heroes is just a na people gave . I only killed a few deviants. Most of the stories were made up by my teammates. It's not as amazing as it sounds," Gilgash said with a silly smile and waved his hand.

But after confirming his identity, things didn't go as he expected. Instead of a friendly encounter, sothing else happened.

"Heh, I thought so. But I just needed to confirm that you are Gilgash—let's do it!" Xu Wenwu said coldly as he raised his arms and took a Hung Gar stance. (TL/N: Hung Gar = Martial Art)

Seeing this, the smile on Gilgash's face faded. "Why?"

"Because you are an Eternal. And I... am a human," Xu Wenwu replied directly.

"I don't think that's a good reason to fight," Gilgash replied. Even though he was big and strong, the strongest among the Eternals, he wasn't soone who enjoyed fighting for no reason.

He was a little surprised that Xu Wenwu claid to be human—after all, the Ten Rings on his arms didn't look like sothing a human could make. They looked more like sothing made by the Celestials.

Still, he didn't want to fight without a good reason.

"Your mission is to ensure that Tiamut is born, isn't it?" Xu Wenwu said calmly.

"Alright, I get it. I don't know how you found out, but yes—for now, I'm still a protector of the Celestials," Gilgash replied. Now that Xu Wenwu had revealed the Eternals' greatest secret, he knew that there was no avoiding this fight.

He took his fighting stance.

He's just a human. Even if his rings are like Celestial weapons, it won't matter. One punch should be enough.

Yes... let's just use thirty percent of my strength. Then I'll ask him how he knows our secret and where he got those rings.

But as soon as they began to fight, Gilgash realized that he had underestimated him.

Even though Xu Wenwu was human, his fighting skills were incredibly sharp and fast.

He moved quickly and cunningly. Gilgash was strong and not slow either, but he still couldn't land a single blow. He couldn't even touch his clothes.

anwhile, the Ten Rings, filled with powerful cosmic energy, continued to smash into him, causing a great deal of damage.

If it had been one of the weaker Eternals, they would have been killed on the spot.

Of course, Xu Wenwu had been warned beforehand by both the Ancient One and Josh. He knew how Gilgash fought, so he had planned to use a hit-and-run style.

If he'd tried to fight head-on, he would have been the one in trouble.

The Eternals had strong bodies built by the Celestials, but the Ten Rings were also powerful.

Even though Xu Wenwu couldn't use all the power of the rings, it was still enough to deal with an Eternal.

Josh's decision to bring Xu Wenwu into this fight turned out to be very wise, even if it cost him a lot.

As the Ten Rings continued to strike Gilgash, wounds began to appear on his body. A light golden liquid began to leak out and drip onto the ground, where it disappeared without a trace.

"So... you Eternals bleed too? Golden blood, huh. Makes you look like a real god," Xu Wenwu said, tilting his head slightly as he watched Gilgash bleeding nonstop.

"Huh? A god? We're just tools without mories or free will," Gilgash said with a bitter smile, half kneeling on the ground and breathing heavily.

As his body collapsed and the golden blood spilled out, Gilgash felt more tired and weak than ever—so this is what it feels like to die?

The reason Eternals didn't age, tire, or die was because of the special markings the Celestials put on them—the glowing lines that show when they die.

And their blood-that was actually concentrated cosmic energy.

But now that his body was damaged and the energy was leaking out, he felt exhaustion and weakness like never before.

"In that case, let finish it for you," Xu Wenwu said as he slowly walked forward. The Ten Rings glowed brighter and brighter as energy gathered in his hands.

"No way... Thena is still waiting for to co back!" Gilgash grinned wildly, then suddenly launched himself at Xu Wenwu like a missile.

He was too close now—Xu Wenwu didn't have ti to dodge. He crossed his arms and blocked with the Ten Rings.

The mont they collided, a huge shock wave erupted around them, ripping the air in every direction. It created a super-strong force wave hundreds of ters wide, kicking up dust and smoke that quickly covered both of them.
