Because Brazil is still under a sowhat chaotic military dictatorship at this ti, with vast uninhabited areas and undeveloped rainforests, it has beco an ideal hiding place for people with special identities.

Of course, this is only true if they are able to protect themselves. Otherwise, a random ard expedition, roaming gang, or rebel group could easily send them to et phisto.

Previously, Druig had such abilities. Now, the remnants of Wakanda, led by forr General T'Pani, clearly have them too.

The Wakandans' hiding place is in a small town called Tabatinga, located in western Brazil near the Peruvian border.

Originally, Tabatinga was a small town of only a few thousand people. However, a political upheaval in Brazil years ago led to its complete abandonnt. Under normal circumstances, it would take decades for the town to recover.

But in this tiline, it didn't stay abandoned for long. The fertile lowlands caught the attention of Wakanda's High Priest Oyeida, who was searching for a new vibranium storage site. He planned to use it as a Wakandan outpost to the outside world.

Before that could happen, however, Wakanda was suddenly exposed to the world. Realizing the danger, Oyeida consulted with King Azzuri and decided to relocate a group of royal guards and noble families to Tabatinga.

Unexpectedly, this decision beca Wakanda's last lifeline.

With more Wakandans arriving—especially after T'Pani and his people joined—the town's population quickly grew to over ten thousand. Thanks to the city's fertile land, the Wakandans soon turned it into a hidden paradise.

Because the entire city was populated by Wakandans, they disguised themselves well when interacting with outsiders. Even when travelers passed through, no one suspected that the town's inhabitants were all Wakandan.

After all, Brazil has a large black population scattered throughout the country, making it difficult for outsiders to distinguish them.

Two years passed, and the Wakandans slowly settled into their new lives. Unless sothing unexpected happened, they would probably be here for generations to co.

Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned.

Not long ago, Carter passed through the city while tracking down a group of war criminals.

These criminals were already in bad shape, exhausted from being hunted by CIA agents. Their original plan was to cross the border into Peru.

But after days of running, they were desperate. When they stumbled upon this seemingly prosperous little town, they decided to rob it at gunpoint and have so fun.

Unfortunately, they picked the worst possible target.

By the ti Carter and her team arrived, the criminals were either dead in jungle traps or had beco food for jaguars and black caimans.

To most people, seeing criminals die like this wouldn't seem unusual.

But Carter could tell from their remains that sothing was wrong.

Then, while walking through town, she spotted a woman carrying a child—Wakanda's forr queen, Nanali.

In that instant, she understood everything.

At the ti, she had no intention of revealing what she had discovered.

It wasn't until Josh opened up to her, making her feel a deep sense of trust, that Carter finally revealed the truth.

Not long after, the small town welcod another group of uninvited guests.

At 4 a.m. on November 11, although the rainy season had ended, its lingering effects remained. The entire town was shrouded in thick fog, making visibility extrely poor.

Twenty-four VTOL aircraft silently descended five kiloters outside of Tabatinga and surrounded it.

VTOL stands for Vertical Take-Off and Landing. (TL/N: VTOL, or Vertical Take-Off and Landing, aircraft are those capable of taking off and landing vertically, without needing a runway, and include helicopters, tiltrotors, and so fixed-wing aircraft with vectored thrust)

This type of aircraft has appeared in many sci-fi movies and gas, such as Crysis and Halo. Even the Quinjet, often used by S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers in the future, is a form of VTOL.

However, the VTOLs now appearing over Tabatinga clearly didn't belong in this era.

Josh had recently purchased these aircraft from Lawrence in the I, Robot Universe after acquiring his robot units. Their design was vastly different from the Quinjet, resembling the VTOLs from Crysis.

These VTOLs would soon beco the standard aircraft for Ouroboros Group operations. Given their highly advanced technology, they couldn't be used under the CIA's na—if word got out, Josh wouldn't be able to explain it no matter what.

When the VTOLs landed, the first to step out were squads of military-grade robots.

They were followed by a group of soldiers dressed in Equilibrium-style cleric robes with fully enclosed masks.

They were the Jedi Knights of Ouroboros.

Each of them had undergone enhancents, mastered gun-kata, and was fully equipped with vibranium gear. Even their seemingly simple clerical robes were actually woven from vibranium.

With the combined technological advances of Red Alert and I, Robot, Josh's research into vibranium had progressed rapidly. They may not have surpassed Wakanda at its peak, but they weren't far behind.

After the Jedi Knight disembarked, a man and a woman stepped out of the aircraft marked "01."

The man was handso and the woman was stunning.

However, they weren't Josh and Carter.
