Chapter 6
It was 5am morning.
Under Stein's guidance and the lamppost that illuminates the still darkened morning, Zhang Qin Feng is seen running as the voice inside his head continuously providing him with directions.
Zhang Qin Feng is providing an imdiate mapping service while he jogs around the neighborhood. Although he was sowhat curious about Stein's accuracy, it was enjoyable to him. At least running with this target in mind can get rid of his boredom along the way.
[Advising that user slows down for ten minutes. This will allow you to extend your jogging ti by 30minutes. During this rest period, please inhale and exhale through your nose only to increase your body's pulse rate]
To Zhang Qin Feng, listening to Stein's guidance was like learning martial art. Each of his movents was sohow predicted much earlier to keep his body in an optimal condition.
This was the first ti for Zhang Qin Feng to properly walk close to 10,000 steps without pressure in his ntality. If it was converted into the distance in kiloters, it was about 8-kiloter.
Although it wasn't a world-breaking record, to achieve it first thing in the morning still gave him a hint of satisfaction that only he can feel.
[Your morning workout is complete for today. Let's continue at night. As a piece of advice, it would be best for you to only drink a maximum of three bottles of beer from now on]
Stein's advice ca up weird in Zhang Qin Feng's mind.
'STEIN, why it wasn't one, two, but three bottles? Is there a limit or sothing because I'm starting to work out?' Zhang Qin Feng asked. After the alternate job and run pace that takes him two hours to accomplish, he felt sore all around his body.
[That's because too much alcohol content in your body may affect you in a certain way. Three bottles a day would be the best limit for now, until we unlocked so day to day features in the Dinsional System]
'Ah…' Zhang Qin Feng nodded.
As he walked past the convenience store right under the building he lived in, Zhang Qin Feng pushed the door and went inside. Taking the ten dollars bill out from his pocket, he bought two cream rolls and a can of soft drink as he returned upstairs.
"Is that not Old Chen's little nephew?" one of the elders about Qin Lan's mother's age asked. The question was directed to his wife. She's also the person that entertained Zhang Qin Feng earlier.
"I think so. That boy seems energetic. Did he found a job or sothing?" his wife replied.
"Maybe. If not, I don't see the reason to wakes up this early in the morning." the elder said.
"Early your head. Until when you're going to take to finish cutting those radishes? Quickly get them done so we can start packing them!" his wife throws the head of the white daikon at the elder as she started to nag,
…
[I believe it's ti to go for your employnt, user]
Stein's reminder ca right on ti. And after a day of busy working in his uncle's place, Zhang Qin Feng is now a hundred dollars richer than yesterday.
His uncle's health also seems much better than before after getting his help continuously for three days. After all, there's only this much an elder can do by himself.
"Uncle, I'm leaving." Zhang Qin Feng said goodbye to his uncle when it was ti to close the store.
"Rember to not finish spending all your money on beer!" his uncle laughed in reply as zhang Qin Feng pulled the shutter down.
'Alright, Stein. What's the plan?' Zhang Qin Feng asked.
[We should take advantage of the currency difference right now. Head to Comrcial Street first. Exchange two hundred dollars worth of Han Country's Yuan first]
Zhang Qin Feng imdiately followed Stein's instructions and headed to one of the two currency exchange offices.
"Welco to the Currency Exchange Office. How may I help you today?" the cashier greets Zhang Qin Feng the mont he stepped inside their establishnt.
"Hello, pretty. Can I apply for a mbership and also exchange two hundred dollars into Han Country's Yuan?" Zhang Qin Feng greets the female cashier and places two red bills on top of the cashier's table.
"Of course! The exchange rate is 1:2, so it will be four hundred Han Country's Yuan in total. And with a mbership card, there will be no transaction fee in this exchange. Would you like an envelope to store the cash?" the female cashier smiled as she processed the transaction for Zhang Qin Feng.
"Yes, please." Zhang Qin Feng smiled in reply. He left after keeping the envelope in his pocket.
[Now, head to the International Currency Exchange Centre located near Tongyuan College. You'll be able to exchange the Han Country's Yuan back to your country's dollar with the exchange rate of 100:3]
-
[But you'll have to be quick. The establishnt is closing in the next half an hour]
-
'Look at !' filled with the spirit to make so quick money, Zhang Qin Feng made his sprint after making sure that he zipped the pocket he used to hold the four hundred Han Country's Yuan.
As he was sprinting, all he had in his mind is how much he can earn from this quick run. With a transaction fee of 5 dollars for all exchanges worth below 1,000 dollars, this run will make him a net profit of 47 dollars.
The reason behind this difference in the exchange rate is likely because the establishnt he visited last needed so Han Country's Yuan in their stock. An incident like this rarely happened. Furthermore, without studying the market of currency fluctuation for over a month, it would be difficult even for professionals to repeat what Zhang Qin Feng just did.
Although the 47 dollars earned today was insignificant to so people, it was a half-day worth of salary to Zhang Qin Feng. If this ager amount were to be made continuously for an entire month, it would be equal to a part-ti job.
[Is there sothing in your mind, user?]
Stein's word ca like a wake-up call to Zhang Qin Feng as he wakes up from his daze. Patting his chest pocket with close to two hundred fifty dollars, he happily jogs his way back ho and anticipates what will cos to him next.
In a blink of an eye, he's already worked at his uncle's store for five days. As the shop was closed on Sunday, Zhang Qin Feng got two hundred dollars instead of a hundred dollars as usual for his weekend salary.
Although Zhang Qin Feng only worked for five days, it wasn't an issue for his uncle. Furthermore, he was a relative of his and not so stranger.
"Thank you, uncle…" Zhang Qin Feng lowered his head slightly as he embarrassedly accepted the generous salary gave by his uncle. At a ti like this, every dollar he can save was significant in his path to riches.
"Why are you getting calculative with your uncle? As long you're happy, you can work here until you feel you're ready for sothing else. Don't hesitate to tell what you're thinking because your uncle was once young like you…"
"Youngsters like your age shall be given more chances to challenge the world. Success or not, the experience is invaluable. Don't be afraid to try." his uncle added.
"I know, uncle!" Zhang Qin Feng nodded.
"Good - Good. Now go and have fun. I'm sure you youngsters will not be bored in the ho during the weekend." his uncle released him as he finishes his words with a pat on Zhang Qin Feng's shoulder.
"Then… I'll be leaving, uncle! Have a nice weekend!" Zhang Qin Feng left.
