"This is 008 Assailant-Class Captain speaking, please reply!"
The sa ssage was repeated several tis during the period everyone was out of contact. Judging from the captain's speaking tone that gets harsher, this reality must have hit the captain quite hard.
He must be still searching for why everyone was out of contact after getting on the continent.
But again, Zhang Qin Feng couldn't help but praise the captain for being rational enough for not charging into the golden do recklessly. If he did, he would be only repeating what had happened to the first fleet all over again.
The captain's carefulness was indeed a trait worth ntioning. In the two days Zhang Qin Feng and Zhang Tianci were unreachable, he had been in contact with the remaining four ships from the second fleet.
Three out of the four remaining Assailant-Class Patrol Ships were already here waiting for further orders, based on the captain's latest ssage. Only the 010 was absent from this rescue mission, as the vessel is still going through overhaul maintenance.
It was understandable, as that ship was hit hard by several torpedoes from the West Strand Division's defense during the rescue mission led by Zhang Qin Feng.
"This is the 008 Assailant-Class Captain speaking! Big Boss, Vanguard Leader, please reply when you hear this ssage, over!" another ssage arrived at Zhang Qin Feng's Luna Device.
"This is big Boss. Good job staying out there without recklessly chasing after , 008." Zhang Qin Feng chuckled as he replied to the captain. At the sa ti, he didn't forget to praise the captain for his steadiness.
"Boss!" the other captains imdiately joined the channel after obtaining 008's approval. Everyone sounded thrilled as they managed to hear their leader's voice again. For a mont here, they sounded more like Zhang Qin Feng's needy girlfriends.
"It was nice to see that most of you are here. 008, good job again for saving most of my ti getting everyone here. With this, we can start planning for a counterattack." Zhang Qin Feng continued.
He might have lost track of his ti, but Zhang Qin Feng knew that a few days had passed since he stepped onto this continent. Based on their current situation, he would definitely need more firepower and n to handle all the remaining beacon sites scattered over this island.
With how challenging it was to turn the first beacon off, Zhang Qin Feng was sure that the remaining beacons would only get harder to capture.
Furthermore, his opponents were not limited to the virus carriers alone, but natives that could live and control the zombies and Tyrants. Zhang Qin Feng was sure that they'll be another problematic group like the West Strand Division, even before they made their entrance.
Lastly, he had to assu that the parasitic faction was on its own. Based on what he had seen so far, those infected by the parasite don't seem to mingle around with the virus carriers, although they do get along well.
Assuming that all crews from the first fleet reported KIA, Zhang Qin Feng had no other way to take the parasitic faction seriously. So far, close to thirty people from his first fleet were found infected or killed.
As there is no information about the remaining 320 people, Zhang Qin Feng can only remain hopeful for their survival. He hoped that over half of the crew would oppose the parasites, natives, and virus carriers until his arrival.
"We had a big battle over here. Did you guys see anything from the outside?" Zhang Qin Feng asked. He had a feeling that the golden do was working differently from what it seed.
"Big battle, Boss? We do hear so explosions here for the past one and a half-day, but that's all to it. So far, there is nothing extraordinary going on from the radar and visual." the 008's captain replied.
"Mind explaining what happened on the ground, Boss?" he continued by asking Zhang Qin Feng a question.
"We're unsure for now, but the first fleet ended up activating sothing else when they found the hidden facility. Currently, there's a golden do encompassing the entire continent."
"As we are right now, we haven't had the slightest idea of why this happening right now." Zhang Qin Feng answered.
"Golden do, Boss? But the second fleet sees nothing from the outside." Zhang Qin Feng's answer was puzzling to the captain. But that was understandable. The golden do itself wasn't noticeable from the outside, after all.
That's also why electronic interference only affected those who sailed past the coverage area.
"If this golden do remains unseeable from the outside, then the quality of this signal jamr has far surpassed my expectations." Zhang Qin Feng nodded all by himself as he communicated with the four captains.
"In that case, standby for now while we're preparing ourselves. Get into preparation for now and wait for my signal before making your way to the landing point. Maintain full alert in the anti until a further order is given." Zhang Qin Feng added.
"Yes, Boss!" the captains collectively responded to Zhang Qin Feng's instruction.
"Alright. All of you should return to your position until I give any further instructions. 008, represent and get in touch with Vermilion Empress. Tell the shipyard to continue with the blueprint without waiting for . After completion, appoint the team leader to commandeer the vessel over here."
"That's all for now. Big Boss out." the call was disconnected before the 008's captain acknowledged his order.
"Ah… The Boss disconnected too quickly before I updated him about who was here with us." the 008's captain was in a dilemma right now. He had no idea Zhang Qin Feng would cut the channel off so quickly before he had his chance to speak.
"Well… He should have an idea about it, correct?" the captain turned around and looked at the two individuals standing considerably close to him.
"I'm used to his impatience, and that won't affect anything at all. As you have already heard from him, the Boss will contact us again very soon." said one of the two individuals.
"Let's get the landing ship ready. Our delivery load is going to be more than what few fast boats can handle."
