"This is great. With the addition of this facility, we will have the ability to create communication devices that rely on signal towers. Let's get Marvin and Victor here. I'm sure both of them would…" Zhang Qin Feng smiled after listening to Stein's announcent in his head.
The congratulation note was sothing happy for him. But at the sa ti, a small part of worry appeared in him. It was concerning manpower and workload he's been putting on top of the two-division heads.
Their departnt can be said to be in the 2nd and 3rd place after Satella's Ard Force. Marvin was tasked with handling the facility's refurbishnt, upgrade, and heavy machinery creation. Additionally, he had to attend to Zhang Qin Feng's modern world needs once in a while, including so research and tinkering jobs.
As for Victor, he's responsible for smaller equipnt. Printers in his building have been operating day and night without fail to process the weaponry replacent, clothing, canned food, ammunition, and so on. Almost everything essential for the facility's operation is under Victor's control alone.
The expenditure from these two departnts can be said to be about the sa as Satella's Ard Force. But the cost of their operation is mainly on materials instead of material, manpower, and resources from Satella's side.
Among the few Wind Base departnts currently, the plantation departnt had the lowest operation cost. All the departnt need was manpower, and that can be solved effortlessly by transferring people from few departnts, including newly joined mbers.
Next ca the Food Departnt under Liam. This place is the final destination of the Plantation Departnt's end product. As the latter departnt's only custor, Liam's Food Departnt is on the duty of handling all kinds of rations, supplies, and edibles for distribution.
The Energy Departnt ca next, co-handled by Valerian and Tane. Valerian was appointed to control half of the operation because she had to slowly convert this gigantic machinery to generate electricity silently. As for the second reason, Zhang Qin Feng felt unsafe if he let Tane handle the departnt alone.
After the three bottom departnts were Valerian's Research Departnt, Victor's Supply Departnt, and Marvin's Construction Departnt. These three were the cream of the crop, taking three-quarters of all available resources from the base to maintain their day-to-day operation.
Satella's Ard Force was excluded from all six departnts. Instead, her n were transferable from one departnt to another, as well as helping to monitor their activities. Their expenditure was also huge, considering they're taking at least half of what was produced by the six departnts as their supplies.
Right now, in this Wind Base, there's nothing better than getting enrolled into Satella's Ard Force as it promised the best facility, benefit, as well as compensation. Part of it was to exchange their contribution points for favors. The favor covered from food to holidays, to sexual demands, and also weapon upgrade.
There are few potential candidates ready to be considered for promotion due to their excellent performance in battle.
While he was thinking about calling for Marvin and Victor, the two of them ca with a few of their trusted subordinates. It seems they're in the middle of so discussion long before Zhang Qin Feng is visiting.
"Boss. It's great to see you here. We have so suggestions for you in regards to manpower. Would you like to hear them out?" Marvin said. As the older one between the two, his position was the best to bring this matter up to Zhang Qin Feng.
"Sure. Let's hear what you have for ." Zhang Qin Feng nodded. There's an anticipating look on his face as he grabs a place to sit.
"This is Adam, and the one beside him is Frank. These two were trusted mbers of our departnt. If the boss is willing to let them try to see how their leadership goes, please allow them to manage this departnt on your behalf." Marvin said.
"They might need so polishing here and there, but their skills are comparable to both and Marvin. I'm sure they're capable of completing the job." Victor added. He might sound like trying to curry the favor for the two, but he had no reason to do so.
Able to get the endorsent from the two departnt leaders an that their skill was the real deal.
Extending his hand out for the tablet computer in their hand, Zhang Qin Feng had Stein secretly transfer the communication Tower and Paired Devices blueprint into the gadget.
He randomly tapped on the screen for a while and opened the blueprint before them to study.
"Take so ti to study the blueprint. Let know what do you think." Zhang Qin Feng said. He passed the tablet computer to Adam as he was the closest one between the two candidates.
"Let's go. We'll have so talk while we take a walk around this facility." Zhang Qin Feng suggested. His words indicated that he wanted to talk between the higher-ups while walking around as a pretense.
"Satella, let the other two know what's our concern." Zhang Qin Feng allowed Satella to explain what they talked about earlier.
It took her about five minutes to brief the other two about what might be happening outside the Wind Base. And it's not like the two of them didn't notice it either. Everything was recorded whenever the people were going out or coming in. All they needed was a glance at the report to see the differences.
Were it not because Zhang Qin Feng was frequently coming with so raw supplies, they'll be facing a material shortage right now. Furthermore, the equipnt that requires repair was also at an all-ti low, which indicates sothing worrying is happening.
"So… What is your suggestion, boss?" Victor asked. As the one handling the supplies and distribution, any decision made by Zhang Qin Feng will imdiately affect his departnt's day-to-day operation and preparation.
"I'm thinking about expanding our survey around the base for now and start clearing a safe passage from here to Turbine Town. Our next mission might need us to take over the Shelter that's still in operation."
"But we need to make sure that we get rid of the problem with efficient communication. Let's hope that…" Zhang Qin Feng was going to continue, but he noticed that Adam and Frank were coming up to where they're gathered.
"Boss! We've finished studying the blueprint. We can co up with a prototype by tomorrow if you want it!" said Adam.
"There you go, boss. I think. That's one problem solved." Victor chuckled.
