"Hello?" Fatty Xie's sound can be heard from the other side of the phone.
"Buddy, are you working now? Let know a ti, and I'll co to get you for a al, alright?" Zhang Qin Feng said. It's been quite a while he didn't get in touch with Fatty Xie.
"Feng? Where have you been? I heard from your girlfriend that you went to Han Country to build a career, correct?" Fatty Xie sounded surprised to hear Zhang Qin Feng's voice over the phone. It was understandable since the two of them were best friends from school until now.
"I'm doing fine. Let's et up. Are you still working at the sa company as before?" Zhang Qin Feng replied.
"Nope. I've been fired from the company because of a few minor mistakes. Right now, I'm working in a nearby supermarket as a cashier. Do you rember the place where we used to steal lollipops with Tang Xin?" Fatty Xie told him where he's working right now, but he was speaking softly about the part where they're stealing the candies.
"Yeah. I rember that old man's store. It's not too far from our place, correct?" Zhang Qin Feng replied. As soone that lived around that neighborhood for a few years, that place was a spot he regularly visits to grab free candies.
Thinking about all those sneaky tricks they had while they're younger, Zhang Qin Feng felt a little ashad for his action right now.
"That's where I am. I have one more hour to go. Shall we go out after that?" Fatty Xie said.
"Alright. Then I'll be seeing you there in an hour. Let's go and get sothing good today, my treat." replied Zhang Qin Feng. He checked the ti now on the clock and noticed it was already three in the afternoon.
"It's your treat, of course! I heard that you earned so money to open an instant noodle factory, correct? Even our shop is selling your noodles here. I want to barbeque, alright?" Fatty Xie made his order even before they planned on where to go.
"Sure. I'll let you eat until you ended up twice the size you are right now." Zhang Qin Feng chuckled.
"Hey! I'm slimr than before, alright? Even Tang Xin said I look much better than you right now. Let's et after work. I'll have to get my cashier running again. Talk to you later." the call disconnected after Fatty Xie finished with what he wanted to say.
Thinking that he should be getting Fatty Xie sothing nice, Zhang Qin Feng went to the Food Processor to process sothing for their al later.
While waiting for the ti to pass, he called Wang Yufei and inford her he will be having dinner with Fatty Xie tonight and won't be ho until late at night.
And since his car was taken out by Wang Yufei this morning, he had to drive Wang Yufei's older car. It was not as high-tech as their current ride but still comfortable to move around. The only problem here is that he had to go to the nearest fuel station to fill its tank before starting his journey.
Zhang Qin Feng arrived outside of the grocery store precisely an hour later. Since there are no parking restrictions here, Zhang Qin Feng parked his vehicle out there before going into the store to grab sothing.
He knew that the store is well known for its authentic and legit herbal dicinal ingredients. He decided to get sothing there to give the boss so profit back from all the candies he stole while they were younger.
The business owner ca to greet Zhang Qin Feng while he was preparing to pay for his order.
"Brat. You've grown a lot." the owner pulled Zhang Qin Feng's ear as he always did. It's not like he's too senile to not notice that the few of them ca to his store back then to steal the candies.
"Owner," Zhang Qin Feng politely greets the business owner. He looked different from before. Perhaps getting old had so impact on him and his beer belly.
"Did you co here for that little crab? He's finishing his work soon, so go get sothing nice to eat. Make sure you two don't drink too much until he can't co to work tomorrow." said the owner before going to the back of his store.
In reply to his words, Zhang Qin Feng can only smile.
Soon, Fatty Xie ca out from the staff's locker room and followed Zhang Qin Feng back to his car.
"Wait for a while. Tang Xin is joining us." Fatty Xie said.
"When did you call her? We'll have to get a big table to put everything she ordered. Don't forget she likes to do her streaming while we're eating." Zhang Qin Feng said.
"Oh? Tang Xin stopped streaming quite long ago. Now, she's just an office worker in a nearby building near the store. Sotis, I'll saw her twice a day when she drops by to buy sothing." Fatty Xie replied.
His reply made Zhang Qin Feng noticed that he's been out of touch with many people recently. But since he had so much to do, it was understandable for him to lost track of everything here and there.
Tang Xin soon joined them about ten minutes later. The three talked for a while about deciding where to go and eventually choosing a nearby steakhouse fad for its beef and cumin lamb.
After a few plates of at and few glasses of beer, the atmosphere started to get rowdier as Fatty Xie began to complain about his problem with the previous employer. Tang Xin then followed along and vented all her disputes with her company too.
Food and alcohol keep coming to their table until Fatty Xie asked what Zhang Qin Feng has in his mind.
"Feng, what about the three of us open a business together? Or perhaps, you beca our boss and hired us to work with you?" Fatty Xie said.
"Hmm… I do have a plan in mind. Are you interested to hear out?" Zhang Qin Feng replied.
