Chapter 202: Uproar From A Steak (2)
Alice used the fork in her hand to get a hold of the A6 beef resting on the plate. The juices from the at look like they would burst out if the fork is a little thicker than the one in her hand.
Slowly bringing the at into her mouth, she was surprised that the beef was gone from her mouth in a flash.
"Huh?" Alice Moon shows the couple a blank expression from not knowing what happened. Feeling that she barely taste the first piece of beef, she went for the second piece.
Once again, it vanished by the ti she was going to take a bite. What was remaining were the beef juices that are still lingering in her mouth. Was it not because of the at juices in her mouth, she would be assuming that Zhang Qin Feng is playing a trick on her.
By the ti the plate of high-quality steak was half-finished, she finally managed to taste how juicy the at was while chewing it. It felt like the steak was gone from her mouth in her first few bites because it was too good.
Even holding herself from gulping down the steak doesn't work because it was just that perfect.
After finishing the plate of steak before her, Alice Moon politely wiped her lips using the wet towel provided. She cald herself down with a few deep breaths first before speaking with Zhang Qin Feng and Wang Yufei.
"It was delicious. Before I know it, half of the steak had already gone into my stomach. The taste was exquisite, just like the top-quality A6 beef from my ho country." Alice Moon gave her opinion about the steak she had.
"But I'm curious. From what I know, even our own country is limiting this product. How can you manage to get so here? It would be difficult even if Jun Minji is pulling strings from the back?" she added.
"What if I told you that this is not beef but soy protein?" Zhang Qin Feng chuckled. His sentence made Wang Yufei staring at her with a suspicious-looking gaze. Were it not because the machine is still inside their ho, and this steak was made by her hand, she would still suspect if Zhang Qin Feng was speaking the truth.
"You're joking with ." Alice Moon pouted. She might not be as professional as Wang Yufei in terms of food, but she's not a fool either. If this steak was not at but plant-based protein, won't the wine she drinks be from concentrated?
She would gladly admit that her palette might not be as sensitive as a proper gourt's tastebud. Still, she's not muddle-headed to the point of couldn't differentiate real at from fake!
"Yufei, convince her." Zhang Qin Feng smiled. He knew that it would be difficult for him to change Alice Moon's opinion on her eating based on his words alone. This is why he had Wang Yufei seated along with them on this table.
First of all, it was to show her that this woman, besides Zhang Qin Feng, was part of the business owner of the Instant Noodle Factory. And second, it was to change her opinion after eating what she was served.
Alice Moon's reaction also reminded Zhang Qin Feng about his effort to convince Wang Yufei back then. He rembered that for the sake of showing her that he was telling the truth, Zhang Qin Feng had to assemble the Food Processor on his own.
The effort almost took him four to five days to get it to work. And right now, he was afraid that he had to repeat things all over again just to convince Alice Moon.
Luckily, the girl's mind seems to have a way to create trust between them. The three of them had a private discussion for close to an hour after telling the waitress to leave.
She seems reluctant to believe what Wang Yufei and Zhang Qin Feng try to tell her. But it was enough for now because she already gets the reason to be served with the food.
"Now I get it… This was your intention all along, correct?" Alice Moon leaned her back on the chair as it reminded her about sothing Zhang Qin Feng ntioned before.
She rembered that Zhang Qin Feng insisted on marking their pricing a few dollars higher than other competitors. Back then, the brand was just entering the market without any fa or custor feedback.
At that ti, she's still questioning where did Zhang Qin Feng get his confidence from. But right now, she had her answer. Instead of convincing her by words alone, Zhang Qin Feng gave her the entire steak that he promised.
With this flavor and texture alone, it would be the gachanger to the industry.
But there are still so questions that remain.
(How would they price it? And would instant noodles and high-quality soy-protein at fetch the price compared to what the natural beef had to offer?)
Thinking about the price of a piece of authentic A6 steak that is comparable to a hundred packets of their instant noodle sohow demotivates her slightly.
"My boss… I know that you have a great vision in front of you, but… Have you thought about the distinct definition between economical and luxury? I can hardly imagine that instant noodle fits the definition of luxury food." Alice Moon said.
There's indeed a hint of common sense in her words. In the public's opinion, instant noodles represent sothing quick, simple, and delicious with the soup pack that cos along. Adding in a high-quality steak like this might mark up the prices, but it doesn't an that the consur wants it.
"Of course, there are many things to consider in between, but don't you think that the reason instant noodles are seen as an economical food is because of how they're prepared? Everything ca in a facade and disguise, and success depends on how we put them out for sale." Zhang Qin Feng replied.
"And, this plant-based at is just the start. I've yet to even push it out into production," Zhang Qin Feng added.
