The mont Rowan hit the ground, the world blurred into a haze of pain.

The impact had driven the air from his lungs, and for a few seconds, he could only gasp, blinking through the haze as the monstrous shape of Arytemis stood above him.

Her eyes blazed with fury, and her massive glass foot ca down like a guillotine.

Rowan twisted instinctively, rolling aside just as the foot crashed into the spot where he had lain. The ground fractured beneath the blow, sending shards of stone and glass flying outwards.

He staggered to his feet, clutching his ribs, and quickly retreated backwards, panting.

"Wade!" he yelled hoarsely.

Wade didn’t respond imdiately, but he was already moving.

Arytemis spread her glass wings, and began to beat them with incredible force. A whirlwind swept across the chamber as she started to ascend.

"Not happening!" Wade shouted.

He thrust his hand forward.

Bone Spike!

The air exploded with the sound of ripping mana as a barrage of bone spikes shot forth from his palm, each one spinning like a drill. They tore through the air and struck Arytemis’s wings with deafening cracks.

The goddess scread, twisting in the air, her ascent slowing as several bone spikes lodged deep into her wings. They spiderwebbed with fractures, lines of light crawling across their surfaces like cracks in ice.

Wade fired again, and again, and again. Each strike punched through the crystal, the wings shattering piece by piece.

The final barrage hit with explosive force, and the wings finally gave way.

Arytemis plumted from the sky.

She crashed into the ground with a loud crack.

Rowan raised his hand, sending a gust of wind to clear the dust. "Now’s our chance!"

Arytemis was already moving, her fractured form struggling to rise.

"Stay down!" Wade roared, diving in from above.

His axe ca down in a fiery arc, smashing into her shoulder and sending shards flying.

The goddess reeled, her scream echoing through the hall.

Rowan joined in, his hands glowing with swirling mana.

A sphere of compressed air erupted from his palms, slamming into Arytemis’s midsection and pinning her against the floor. The wind pressure fractured the stone, holding her montarily still.

Arytemis raised her arm, the light in her body flaring. In an instant, the mana around her condensed, forming a bow of glass.

She drew it back.

"Move!" Wade shouted, and both n leapt in opposite directions as a giant arrow scread past them.

Arytemis fired again, and again, trying to kill her attackers.

Rowan kept dashing through the air, trying to get into positions she couldn’t easily fire to.

Wade had the sa idea, darting in and out of her line of fire, teleporting every few seconds with Short Step, dodging narrowly each ti.

But she was way too fast.

One arrow clipped his wing, spinning him in the air. Wade recovered quickly, his eyes blazing.

He hurled Toothpick through the air. The weapon spun end over end, trailing a blaze of fire behind it.

It struck Arytemis’s glass bow dead center.

The resulting explosion shattered the weapon instantly, the fragnts splintering across the floor. Arytemis let out a frustrated shriek, her eyes flashing with incandescent rage.

Wade raised his hand, and Toothpick shot through the air, landing back in his palm.

Before Arytemis could recover, Rowan extended his arms, the wind swirling around him in a vortex. "I’ve got her!"

Multiple spirals of air ford around Arytemis’s limbs, wrapping tightly like invisible chains. She struggled, but the winds pinned her against the floor, each movent only tightening the bonds.

"Now, Wade!" Rowan yelled.

Wade grinned grimly. "With pleasure."

He teleported forward, reappearing right before the struggling Arytemis. Fire flared around his axe as he poured everything he had into it, using Fireburst at full power.

The explosion upon impact was blinding.

The flas engulfed Arytemis completely, the heat distorting the air around her.

Her glass skin cracked, the fractures spreading rapidly across her entire body like fissures in breaking porcelain.

Wade didn’t stop. He kept swinging, over and over again, each strike hamring her deeper into the crater.

Until the final strike reduced her body to a thousand shards of glass that scattered across the ground, glowing faintly before dimming.

Then ca the sound they’d all been waiting for.

Ding!

On the far end of the hall, Sebastian and Ingrid were locked in combat with their own Arytemis.

She fought like a demon, moving gracefully and savagely at the sa ti.

Ingrid darted between around her, loosing arrow after arrow. Each shot detonated on impact, filling the air with smoke and fire.

Sebastian charged through the haze, swinging his axe with all the power of a man who’d fought for his life too many tis to count.

"Keep her pinned!" he bellowed.

"I’m trying!" Ingrid yelled back. She drew another arrow, this ti, firing it through Arytemis’s foot.

It didn’t explode. Instead, it morphed into a chain that wrapped around the goddess’s ankle and anchored itself to the ground.

Arytemis snarled, trying to rip free, but Ingrid fired another arrow.

This one pinned Arytemis’s other foot.

"Now, Sebastian!"

Sebastian didn’t hesitate. He sprinted forward, his aura flaring red. With one mighty swing, he brought his axe down on the trapped limb.

The blade cleaved through the glass, severing Arytemis’s leg cleanly at the knee.

The goddess scread, collapsing onto one knee. Her hand slamd into the ground to steady herself.

Ingrid fired another arrow, and it impaled Arytemis’s palm, pinning her hand to the floor like a butterfly on display.

Sebastian swung again, and the goddess’s arm shattered under the force.

Arytemis writhed, light spilling from her wounds, the sound of cracking glass filling the air as her body began to splinter.

Ingrid drew one final arrow, whispering a curse under her breath, and fired straight into Arytemis’s chest.

The explosion was deafening.

Arytemis’s scream echoed like the breaking of a thousand mirrors, and then, her body fragnted completely.
