In that instant, Yu Sheng gained a deeper understanding of his nephew’s "gaze"—though now was clearly not the ti for pondering this.

He suddenly turned his head towards where Zheng Zhi was pointing, seeing the curtain of rain, in the dim sky, a streak of lightning tearing through it, seemingly striking the empty air.

But he finally felt the source of that gaze.

"Hu Li!" Yu Sheng swiftly put away his Tetanus Wand, turned, and sprinted towards the distance, shouting loudly, "Send a tail!"

Just as he finished speaking, a bright fla suddenly burst forth, a silver-white fox tail howling from afar!

Yu Sheng had Erin (Mysterious Iron) on his shoulder and was holding so (Reinforced Steel) in his hand, deftly flipping onto the fox tail as soon as he reached it, and upon tugging the fur in his hand, he rode the foxfire-propelled tail flying into the sky, heading in the direction Zheng Zhi had pointed.

A shocking thunder rolled across the sky, the pale electric light illuminating the dense curtain of rain, the clouds suddenly surged, seemingly ripening a powerful energy in the air, Yu Sheng clearly saw a layer of crackling electric light appear on his skin surface, then a bolt of lightning abruptly descended from the sky, splitting towards his back as if guided.

Yet at this mont, a sapphire glow suddenly erged around the fox tail, the Protective Spirit Qi left by Hu Li on the tail fiercely clashed with the lightning, creating a startling explosion in mid-air.

The deafening roar close at hand.

But Yu Sheng paid it no mind at all, rely continuing to accelerate, charging into the sky like a cannonball amidst the torrential rain!

More thunder brewed in the sky, electric light wandering like frantic silver snakes in the air, Yu Sheng seed to feel a great bewildernt from the spreading currents and dense thunder—and almost simultaneously, he saw two beasts bursting from the clouds, flanking him from left and right, while a black-clothed cultivator wearing a bizarre mask flew with a sword drawn, its blade glinting coldly, seemingly etched with roaring wind and thunder, its mighty power even turning the rain and wind around the cultivator into a massive whirlpool, the man borrowing wind’s montum, wind borrowing man’s force, vowing to intercept and slay him there!

The sky filled with thundercrashes, winds fierce, rain torrential, beasts roared, while amidst this grand spectacle, a brute with two puppets hanging from him was riding a fox tail spewing propulsion flas, leaping across the sky.

The Jade-faced Golden Fox Girl holding an iron-colored xiao gaped at the scene, feeling her Daoist heart shaken alongside her worldview, her murmurs carried through the wind and rain, "...Great Uncle, I seem to understand what you ant by ’a battle of gods’ now..."

In the collapse of the factory ruins, the giant Tibetan Fox with six tails under the care of Master Yuan Hao finally struggled to open its eyes, and upon the first sight of the awe-inspiring scene in the sky, uttered "Alas, my life is over," before its head drooped and it fainted again.

But Yu Sheng was entirely oblivious to all that was happening on the ground.

An inexplicable, near-death-like intense feeling tightly gripped his heart, he could almost sll the bloodstained stench emitted from the beasts’ mouths, almost sense the icy killing intent released by the approaching black-clothed cultivator trying to intercept him, he could feel powerful energy gathering again in the air, could feel everything around endeavoring to kill him, he could even feel he might die at any mont—the overwhelming force wrapped within the omnipresent killing intent was enough to shatter his fragile flesh.

Yet all this brought him boundless joy, extre, long-awaited joy.

Just like when he bit off a piece of flesh from the entity "Hunger."

Black Spider Silk rapidly spread through the sky, entangling the charging beasts, the cold that could penetrate the soul seed to freeze the beasts’ minds, causing them to spasm and fall from the sky, before being blasted mid-air by two Fox Radish Missiles from Hu Li;

Dazzling scorching rays swept through the rain curtain, Erin perched on Yu Sheng’s shoulder, pointed forward at the black-clothed cultivator in mid-air, regardless of how agilely the latter dodged like a startled swan, those bright beams containing formidable power continuously locked her movents, until a ray pierced the cultivator’s chest and abdon, causing him to cry out in pain, tumbling towards the ground;

Yu Sheng placed Erin (Steel) onto the fox tail, telling her to sit firmly and hold on, while he rose in an exceptionally thrilling posture to stand on the tail—feet on the soft, fluffy fur causing so sway, yet Yu Sheng bead with joy, reaching out forward into the void.

He felt he had "touched" sothing.

A boundary, a barrier, an obstruction veiling between two dinsions.

"I found it!"

Yu Sheng said happily, and then pushed forward with both hands as if pushing open a large door.

A terrifying roar echoed through the air, as if the structure of space itself had been toppled by soone. Accompanying this deafening roar, a large portion of the sky suddenly displayed an eerie collapse, shattering like a mirror.

In the collapsing and fragnted sky, a middle-aged man donned in a white robe with golden patterns, holding a large black leather book, stood tall amidst the storm, staring in shock at Yu Sheng, who had just shattered the space barrier barehanded.

Yu Sheng also stared wide-eyed at this enemy, who had been hiding in an Alternate Dinsion commanding the battlefield.

The man wore a white robe with golden patterns that carried a religious aura, rather than the typical Daoist Robe or long gown that cultivators wear. In his hand, he held a ritualistic black leather book, instead of so Magic Treasure or jade pendant. This middle-aged man’s visage was stern, eyes deep-set, and his body emanated pure, violent thunder’s might rather than a cultivator’s Immortal Spirit Power. He stood there, countless tiny lightning bolts traveling across his skin and facial hair, his muscular form glowing amidst the storm and lightning, as though carved from stone.

Like a demigod statue erging from marble.

After a brief mont of shock, this middle-aged man finally raised his finger toward Yu Sheng, his eyes filled with bright electric light, his facial hair flaring in the thunder: "What... are you?!"

Yu Sheng snapped out of it and almost simultaneously raised his hand, pointing at a particularly prominent insignia on the man’s robe: "...Is it the TM Venerate Saints Monastery?!"

As soon as he spoke, he heard an explosive sound from the air.

Without waiting to turn back, Yu Sheng saw a figure launch from the ground toward the sky, shredding a path through the dense rain curtain, a shadow revealing cold, shimring blades. Luna charged directly out of the omnipresent shadows amidst the rain, with her nun’s long dress swirling, the Fingertip Blade aiming straight for the Hidden Monastery priest floating in mid-air.

But Yu Sheng noticed Luna avoiding the man’s heart—though she initially aid for it, at the last mont, she painstakingly adjusted the angle of her blade.

It seed she wanted to capture him alive—or rather, she knew Yu Sheng wanted him alive.

The Artificial Saintess’s speed clearly surpassed human reaction limits. Her ghostly strike appeared unavoidable to Yu Sheng.

Yet with such a sudden, cornerless attack, the middle-aged man in the white robe surprisingly reacted instantly, as if he sensed in advance before Luna even approached. His body twisted away at an odd angle, dodging the Fingertip Blade aid at him, and then, with a flash of lightning, nurous bolts appeared out of nowhere around him, striking down densely toward Luna!

Twelve illusory shadows erged from the air, blocking the surrounding thunder from all directions, causing Luna’s form to halt abruptly. She then unhesitatingly switched direction to charge again.

However, her next strike still missed.

The Hidden Monastery priest clad in the white robe was perpetually surrounded by tiny sparks of lightning. Every ti Luna approached, it seed he could predict her moves by sensing the electric field and avoid them ahead of ti—even Erin’s Spider Silk and scorching light beams were consecutively dodged by him.

But just at this mont, this Hidden Monastery priest suddenly frowned: "Soul attack?"

His gaze fell on Luna, a brief daze appearing in his eyes, but he quickly snapped out of it, innurable bolts suddenly exploding, sealing off Luna’s subsequent attack paths. He rapidly withdrew afterward, distancing himself from Luna and Yu Sheng.

"There were indeed reports earlier of an Artificial Saintess detaching from the cognitive network for unknown reasons..." The Hidden Monastery priest fixedly stared at the "Artificial Saintess" standing in mid-air, clad in a nun’s long dress, then turned his gaze to Yu Sheng, his tone extraordinarily grave, "It seems... a lot happened ’outside’ while I was busy working."

"I’m quite surprised too, you guys really are like cockroaches, sneaking into every nook and cranny," Yu Sheng also stared intently at the middle-aged man opposite, his wariness heightened—despite the brief exchange, he had already sensed that this guy was tough to deal with, even far surpassing the "Sage" he encountered last ti on the "Order Pillar." Moreover, the storm and thunder clearly were the opponent’s domain, making Yu Sheng all the more tense, "What are you guys up to—how are you collaborating with the local cultivators?"

But the priest opposite clearly had no intention of answering his questions honestly.

No sooner had Yu Sheng spoken, than he felt a dense tingling spreading across his skin again. Imdiately, he saw countless lightning bolts brewing in the sky. Many black-clothed cultivators, initially besieging Hu Li, Yuan Hao, and others on the ground, seed to have received orders, swiftly redirecting their assault toward them!

The beasts driven by the black-clothed cultivators emitted dizzying roars amidst the storm, converging toward the sky in waves; Luna intended to continue confronting the Hidden Monastery priest, but had to first deal with the surrounding enemies; Hu Li’s Foxfire Barrage swept across the sky, the bright fireballs interwoven like they were setting the rain curtain afla; the white-robed priest summoned Thunderbolt and Lightning, making approach impossible—the chaotic battlefield was thrust into further turmoil, reaching a pinnacle of chaos!
