Hearing Yu Sheng’s words, Luna seed to instantly understand what he ant, and quickly accepted and adapted to the current situation.

Seeing her reaction, Yu Sheng’s suspicions were swiftly confird—his judgnt was correct, the "Artificial Saintess" had indeed undergone so fundantal change after the resurrection.

"I saw the whole scene of your fight earlier," he said to the female knight in front of him, "I an, the fight you had on the ’other side’."

As he spoke, he recalled the scenes he had "seen" through his blood connection during the battle with those black-clothed cultivators.

During the clash with those enemies, Luna simultaneously opened two battlefields.

In the dinsion of the living and the material, her enemies faced the eerie "Artificial Saintess," while in another dinsion belonging to souls, Luna and her Brass Knight Order simultaneously attacked the enemies’ souls; the result of such an ability was obviously deceitful and deadly.

There might not be anyone in this world who could easily adapt to such a bizarre fighting style, or rather, no ordinary people could imagine facing such a sinister situation—even the most powerful cultivators with their souls and minds far more resilient than ordinary people would find it hard to react imdiately; the tearing of mind and perception made it impossible for them to accurately determine their current location, and before they could figure out the situation, either their body or soul had already been defeated.

Evidently, Luna’s ability wasn’t sothing that had appeared just recently. As early as the first ti Yu Sheng saw the figure by the bonfire in that naless wilderness, she was already "there," and now it seed she might have always been in that wilderness, never leaving since that day—even when she moved around the real world as the "Artificial Saintess."

But no one noticed this because Luna herself never ntioned it, not until today.

"I’ve always felt as if I’m existing in two worlds simultaneously," the knight girl holding the Holy Sword slowly began, "one world is gray but peaceful, with vast fields and wind blowing through unknown tall grasses, soul torrents reflected in the sky like a great river; and the other world is bright and lively, full of new friends—you over there, along with Hu Li, and that noisy little shorty..."

Yu Sheng was listening seriously, but at the last sentence, he couldn’t hold back: "You’d better watch that last sentence! If Erin hears it, there’s no telling how filthy she’ll curse, you two fight eight hundred tis a day..."

Luna, however, laughed at this, eyes gleaming with the mischievousness that should belong to soone her age when teasing friends: "The little shorty is quite amusing, just poke her and she bounces."

A subtle expression appeared on Yu Sheng’s face. Looking into Luna’s eyes at this mont, he suddenly understood sothing: "So you’ve been deliberately provoking her all along?"

"That’s right," Luna nodded, "that’s because she usually bullies for being slow to react."

Yu Sheng instinctively glanced back at the two Erins standing not far away—two little puppets frozen against a black-and-white-gray backdrop, still maintaining the pose from the instant the Vision World of the Dead descended, looking rather silly.

He then turned back to look at Luna, who was grinning triumphantly in front of him, feeling a bit surreal for a mont.

It was mainly because he had gotten used to her slow and occasionally crashing Artificial Saintess deanor, and now, all of a sudden, her speech was smooth, her face was animated, and her actions were fluid, which made him a bit unaccustod.

"So you’re usually having such a rich inner drama," Yu Sheng quipped, then instinctively scrutinized Luna a few more tis, muttering to himself, "...So what is the principle behind this?"

"I don’t know," Luna slowly shook her head, "when I awoke from the Holy Coffin, the world before my eyes was already like this."

"Have those ’knights’ always been with you?"

"Yes, in that wilderness, they and I guard the bonfire you left behind together." Luna nodded earnestly.

"What about the soul torrents you ntioned earlier being reflected in the sky? Are they also in that wilderness?" Yu Sheng pondered briefly and curiously asked.

Luna had a matter-of-fact expression: "Yes."

Yu Sheng frowned slightly.

He realized that the world in his eyes was still different from the one in Luna’s eyes.

Even though they saw the sa wilderness, even though this "female knight" now stepped into the Vision World of the Dead just like he did.

This wasn’t the first ti—the sa thing appeared differently in his and others’ eyes. Over ti, he even felt that this "difference in vision" seed like a fundantal rule of this world, even feeling... that this is how the world functions.

"...Yu Sheng? What’s the matter?" Luna noticed Yu Sheng suddenly stop talking and broke the silence with so concern.

"...Nothing." Yu Sheng waved his hand, knowing that there were countless secrets in this world, and around him, there were always many strange and incomprehensible things, but clearly, there was no ti to delve into these now.

His attention remained on the "deceased" in this black-and-white world.

Approaching the black-clothed cultivator, Yu Sheng extended his foot to nudge the person’s body.

"Wake up, we’ve been talking beside you for quite so ti now, aren’t you planning to open your eyes yet?"

The "corpse" lying on the ground initially stayed motionless, but Yu Sheng waited with great patience—he knew that not all the dead would cooperate with him in conversation. Previously, even the Angel Sect followers resisted him with their willpower after death, but as ti passed, such resistance would eventually weaken.

A mont later, that cold shell finally shuddered slightly.

The dead awakened. The black-clothed man, slain by Xuan Che using the dical Patient Relationship Correction Palm, stiffly sat up, the eyes beneath the mask filled with bewildered confusion.

He seed still unclear about the situation, but within seconds, the mory and awareness of death surged over him like a tide, washing away the remaining consciousness in that shell.

A muffled, hoarse voice ca from beneath the mask, as if it were angry curses, or rely the unconscious mutterings of the deceased.

"Answer a few questions, and eternal peace will be yours," Yu Sheng spoke in a low voice, guiding the dead’s muddled mind, "Who are you? What is your purpose?"

The black-clothed man slowly lifted his head. Beneath the mask, a pair of eyes had already turned as murky as sludge. He was still resisting, emitting strange, hoarse croaking sounds from his throat. After several attempts, Yu Sheng finally caught a few fragnted words: "...Emperor’s Legacy... awakening... seeking opportunity..."

"Emperor’s Legacy?" Yu Sheng instinctively seized upon the key part of those words, "What does Emperor’s Legacy an?"

The black-clothed man’s throat emitted more hoarse croaking sounds, as if so words had beco taboo in his spiritual wisdom, and even after death, the corresponding information remained firmly locked deep in his remaining rationale, difficult to voice.

Yu Sheng could only try to lead the dead to continue revealing information: "This Exotic Realm, is there so kind of ’legacy’ hidden inside? Did you co for that legacy?"

The dead’s body began to tremble. He nodded with difficulty, but the next second, he shook his head again, speaking words that left others bewildered—

"If he wakes... the world will be dood..."

Then, the voice from beneath the mask beca indistinctly hoarse again, hard to decipher.

Yu Sheng asked a few more questions, but mostly heard disjointed mutterings—the mind of this cultivator was indeed resilient. Even now, he was desperately resisting the guidance and questioning of "Dead Communication," and this intense resistance in turn rapidly consud his remaining soul, the signs of his "shell" gradually breaking apart visible to the eye.

Judging that the ti for questioning was running out, Yu Sheng quickly asked the last question: "The entrance to this Exotic Realm has been sealed, how did you get in?"

As this question was asked, the shell of the black-clothed cultivator cracked with horrifying fissures, and smoke rose from them. As the dead rapidly turned to ashes, the final unclear whisper from beneath the mask erged: "...Emperor’s Illusion... more than one place..."

In the next mont, the monotonous black, white, and gray world quietly shattered, and the dead communication ended.

Yu Sheng looked up, seeing the colors in his vision rapidly restored, hearing the sound of the wind again at his ears. The blonde-haired young knight disappeared from sight, while the tall "Artificial Saintess" nearby slowly turned her head, gesturing towards him.

On the pale tal face, that smile seed to gain warmth.

Erin was the first to rush over, grabbing Yu Sheng’s clothes and climbing up: "Hey hey hey, Yu Sheng, did you find out anything? Did the dead spill the beans? There are still a few lying over here, do you want to ask them too? But these were done in by C-type clasps, their death was quite uneasy, not sure if they can be used. Over there there’s one that Hu Li stepped on, flattened a bit, but still has arms and legs..."

The noisy voice of the little puppet was like a sandstorm blowing in a gentle spring day, instantly pulling Yu Sheng out of the overly deathly and cold atmosphere of the "Vision World of the Dead". He casually pressed Erin onto his shoulder, then turned his head toward Xuan Che, who was showing a look of curiosity: "Have you ever heard the term ’Emperor’s Legacy’?"

Xuan Che was taken aback: "Emperor’s Legacy?"

Then he thought carefully and slowly shook his head: "I’ve never heard of it."

"Then it seems we need to go back and ask your master. The most valuable piece of information I got from that dead man’s mouth is this term," Yu Sheng said, gently exhaling, "Moreover, I might know how these black-clothed cultivators managed to sneak in despite you having sealed off the entrances to the Exotic Realm."

Xuan Che imdiately beca serious: "How did they get in?!"

"He spoke all mystically, but if I didn’t misunderstand, this ’Exotic Realm’... likely has more than one entrance."
