His grandfather was the first to slash out his whip. Drake and his friends ducked below the twin blades of the whip.

Drake slashed his own toward his grandfather, trying to disable him. It missed completely. He could tell with only the first shot that he was far too weak to face his grandfather.

Behind him, each of his friends was facing off against their own grandfather. Their swords clashed with constant loud bangs as the blades t. They were fighting for their lives, trying desperately to keep their grandfather from taking their powers.

Drake heard each of his friends declare that the grandfather they were fighting wasn’t family, renouncing that fact. As they did, a shimr moved around them. It was as if a bond had been severed. Drake hoped it didn’t affect his own father.

His eyes narrowed, looking at the older man in front of him. "You are not my grandfather," he sneered. "A grandfather does not do what you’re trying to do."

The shimr strengthened.

The older man pulled his sword from its sheath and swung, not bothering to fill the blade with energy. Drake did the sa, countering the blow, then twisted, swinging his sword in the opposite direction to counter another attack. The tal clashed with each strike.

Drake could feel a sudden wave of bloodlust coming from the older man. It seed he was now attempting to kill him. He knew he couldn’t win against his grandfather. He was too weak to win a fight, as seasoned as his grandfather was.

Chad and Mike were having trouble in their own fights. Chad was lying on the ground. His grandfather had his hand pressed on his chest. The wave of power flowed out of Chad’s chest and into his grandfather’s hand.

Drake couldn’t help it. A tear ran down his cheek. His friend’s grandfather had taken his power, and he was completely unconscious.

Mike continued to fight his own grandfather; their swords clashed. He kicked Mike, and Mike suddenly fell back, landing on the ground. His grandfather used the poml of his sword and slamd it into his head, knocking him unconscious as well. While Mike lay on the ground, his grandfather pressed his hand to his chest and siphoned out his power. Both of his friends were now powerless.

Drake was the only one left. He fought with everything he had. He began shooting spells as he fought, using an explosive whirlwind. The spell hit his grandfather, but nothing happened. He was far too strong.

The bloodlust grew thicker as he fought. It was coming from his grandfather, who was now trying to kill him. The other two n stepped forward, then advised their leader. "If you kill him, you won’t be able to get his power," the archer reminded him.

The old man sneered, kicking out his foot. It slamd into Drake’s stomach, causing Drake to slam against a nearby tree. The impact of the hit knocked him out.

The ex-dinsion master shoved his sword in its sheath, then went to Drake. He pressed his hand on his chest, then siphoned out the energy. His eyes grew brighter with every second until Drake’s power went dim. Drake was powerless as well.

Back in Drake’s room, Drake Sr. stared at the screen in shock. His two friends stood behind him. They watched as the boys fought with every ounce of strength they had to keep their power. He could tell that his father wanted to kill Drake; it was only Chad Sr.’s father who stopped him.

Drake Sr. went to the orb. He needed to consult with the dinsion. After grasping the orb in his hand, he silently spoke to the dinsion. He wanted the dinsion to get involved. He didn’t just want it to get involved, but he needed it to get involved.

Mike Sr. and Chad Sr. watched their friend as he spoke with the dinsion. The small orb glowed with a soft green light, then pictures appeared. While holding the orb, he proclaid aloud. "He is not my father any longer; he is not worthy of being a dinsion master."

The air shimred around him. His two friends understood what he was doing and felt the sa as their friend. They both touched the orb and spoke in unison. "He is not my father any longer; he is not worthy of their cohort duty."

The surrounding air shimred again. This ti brighter. Drake Sr. continued to speak silently with the dinsion. He didn’t want his grandfather to destroy it. With his and Drake’s power, there was no way to fight and win against him. If the dinsion remained out of the situation and refused to get involved, it would die along with all those who lived there.

After a while of pleading, the dinsion finally acted.

Back in the dinsion, Drake and his friends lay on the ground unconscious. They no longer had any power. Their grandfathers had taken it from them.

The sky turned a dark shade of gray, and the wind blew violently through the trees. Lightning shot down from the sky, hitting the ground around the three older n.

The older dinsion master laughed. "I think the dinsion is angry." His maniacal laugh echoed through the trees.

His cohort laughed along with their leader. They were just as evil as he was. They wanted to go after their own son’s power next before they destroyed the dinsion.

On the ground, Drake’s ring glowed faintly, healing his wounds. He didn’t have power, but his ring still worked in healing his wounds. In crashing into the tree, he broke several bones and had a concussion. The Ring was powerful, doing its job.

Both Ruby and Renn had transford into the smaller forms. They hid beneath their master. Their eyes still glowed a bright green. Both beasts could still feel their master. He had given them a small amount of power to hold for him so he could still connect with them. The two beasts would return it the mont they were able. The power they held was his ’beast master’ ability. He didn’t want his grandfather to have it. It would turn out badly if he did. He had given it to them out of instinct to hold for safekeeping.
