"There it is!"

The Face-Covered Monster felt crushing pressure bearing down, all ten-plus dusk-yellow hands striking out with everything it had,

Terrible spiritual power erupted, air crackled with friction, rolling waves of energy surging skyward.

The Dark Purple Force Field imdiately hit resistance, its flowing speed dropping for a mont.

The Face-Covered Monster keenly noticed that this freaky purple thing,

after throwing most of its juice into attacking him, had seriously weakened its power protecting the old centaur chieftain.

Seizing the mont,

he pushed the swarm of grueso twisted faces,

working with the pairs of dusk-yellow hands,

actually managing to briefly punch through the weakest part of the Dark Purple Force Field.

Watching from above, Carlos felt nothing in his heart.

So what if the centaur chieftain croaked? Could this thing escape?

However, the centaur chieftain had to be saved,

After rescuing him, borrowing the centaur sacred relic—surely he’d have no reason to say no.

"Ginya."

Carlos waved his hand. Ginya got the ssage, her Shadow Wings fluttering as her figure instantly vanished.

Monts later, Ginya appeared above the Face-Covered Monster.

"Who else wants so?"

The Face-Covered Monster stopped cold and looked up at the newcor,

The waxy man at its core felt seriously screwed—this aura was completely different from that weird purple energy field.

Two heavy hitters?

The Face-Covered Monster suddenly felt its blood run cold,

In midair, Ginya’s expression was ice-cold as she opened her hand covered in withered yellow leaf armor, aiming at the Face-Covered Monster.

Instantly withering spiritual power gathered, and from her palm grew a withered vine, radiating seriously dangerous vibes.

The mont it ford, spiritual energy backed away, contacted space began to warp, and deep void beca faintly visible.

Danger! Danger! Off-the-charts danger!

The Face-Covered Monster’s scalp crawled, body hair standing on end,

Death! It would die! Getting hit would definitely an lights out!

Instinctively, the Face-Covered Monster couldn’t muster any thought of going toe-to-toe.

Withering Sin Vine:

A nasty sin vine that can corrupt everything,

All it touches will wither and rot, even space itself!

Ginya’s lips curved upward,

"Go!"

The Withering Sin Vine beca a streak of light falling down. Wherever it passed, space withered, void appeared, and spiritual power got sucked dry.

The light was lightning-fast. The Face-Covered Monster couldn’t react in ti,

By the ti it did, the terrifying Withering Sin Vine was already breathing down its neck.

In a split second, the Face-Covered Monster reacted, a pair of pale hands rapidly flattening like razor blades.

From top to bottom, one slash fell, and the Face-Covered Monster’s massive body was instantly split in two...

Boom!

Half got nailed by the Withering Sin Vine, instantly withering to ash, the remaining void grinding away with it.

The other half of the Face-Covered Monster, ignoring the massive wound gushing blood, even with flesh and guts spilling out,

used hands and feet together, rapidly booking it in another direction.

Ginya’s strike had scared the Face-Covered Monster shitless—just a hair more and it would have been toast.

Unfortunately, it forgot that there was never just one threat.

"Roar!"

Purple Vortex was pissed. In a mont of zoning out, the enemy had found another opening.

He angrily attacked with everything he had.

Instantly wind and clouds shifted, the hurricane went dead.

The terrible Dark Purple Force Field covered the sky, horrible pressure following Purple Vortex’s approach, heavily pressing on the Face-Covered Monster’s remains,

"Tsk tsk! Die! Going to die!"

"All die! All dead!"

"Don’t want to die! You die!"

"Die! Die together!"

The remaining twisted faces of the Face-Covered Monster made weird arguing sounds.

Crack... crack...

Under the terrible pressure of the Dark Purple Force Field, the Face-Covered Monster’s remains were gradually pressed into roadkill, the twisted faces gradually went quiet, finally exploding into chunks with a bang...

Spiritual Essence 45

The notification of spiritual essence gain sounded in his mind, and Carlos’s spiritual essence progress ticked up again.

The spiritual essence gain left Carlos cold,

Even with 45 points at once, it only nudged the 19,000 progress bar slightly forward. The next advancent was still a million miles away.

Only in the dark mist regions could he rapidly stack up spiritual essence.

In human territories, simply hunting backstabbers was too damn slow.

Carlos couldn’t help his thoughts drifting.

"Before the various Psionic pathways showed up,

humans’ old-school cultivation thod was absorbing free-floating spiritual essence from the air to slowly beef up spirituality.

Even for half-elves, the top-shelf human subspecies with crazy spiritual affinity,

relying on traditional cultivation thods, while not slow at improving spirituality, was still no match for hunting monsters."

However, throughout human history there were always freaks of nature,

who with insane talent could rapidly improve spirituality even using only traditional cultivation, and combined with hunting monsters, achieved scary advancent speeds.

Carlos knew damn well that his sister, future demigod-level supre powerhouse Iris, was one such human freak.

...

Everything happened in heartbeats,

Before the centaurs could wrap their heads around it, it was all over.

The massive enemy that had threatened their tribal safety got so easily wasted by two monsters, leaving no trace.

Their minds were blown, hands gripping spears nervously sweating.

"This... these are that half-elf envoy’s muscle!"

A centaur guard who’d gotten his act together called out joyfully.

The centaurs’ wound-tight nerves relaxed a bit,

Even though that half-elf envoy seed pretty cold and had specifically co to deal with the traitor centaur Roderick’s shaful business.

"Cough cough cough, Lord Valois, thank you big ti for the assist, cough cough."

The old centaur chieftain, propped up by centaur guards, thanked the figure in midair.

His cloudy old eyes were sowhat dim and lifeless.

"Though I don’t know your angle,

the centaur tribe will do everything possible to back your play!"

Carlos was sowhat surprised by the old centaur chieftain’s sharp eye, actually noticing that he had other reasons for being here.

Since that was the case, Carlos touched down, retracting his Crimson-gold wing bones.

"I need the centaur tribe’s sacred relic."

His erald eyes calmly watched the old centaur chieftain flickering like a candle in the wind.

The old centaur chieftain’s expression paused slightly, bitter in his heart,

’Again for the sacred relic?’

First the Twilight Cult, now the half-elf envoy.

Why were outsiders so hot and bothered about the centaur tribe’s sacred relic?
