This made Carlos sowhat thrilled:

"Red Spirit, can you speak human common language?"

Red Spirit, in its excitent, imdiately floated before Carlos after hearing its master’s call:

"Wah... wah wah... wah wah..."

"..."

Carlos had a sinking feeling but patiently guided:

"Don’t shout ’wah’—speak the language I’m speaking now."

Red Spirit was confused and didn’t get it.

One of Red Spirit’s predecessors was the Fire Spirit.

This type of creature born from the spirit realm’s source ocean instinctively relied on soul fluctuations to transmit information—the concept of language didn’t exist between them.

Essentially, the current Red Spirit couldn’t understand any language, including the human common language Carlos spoke.

It understood Carlos’s transmitted aning through the soul fluctuations Carlos gave off while speaking.

Actually, Carlos didn’t need to speak at all, or even issue commands through soul links.

Just thinking strongly would let Red Spirit sense soul fluctuations and figure out their aning.

This was also why Red Spirit had repeatedly gotten ready before Carlos voiced commands.

As for the "wah" Red Spirit kept calling, it was actually because in the deep spirit realm area where it had always lived, a species of interdinsional void crows nested there.

"Wah wah" was their daily call.

Due to long-term exposure to void crow calls, the juvenile Red Spirit had learned to wah-wah call out of playfulness.

"I see."

Through their soul link, Carlos learned his hopes were shot down.

But he imdiately realized Red Spirit’s ability to sense soul fluctuation information was pretty remarkable and extrely useful.

"It can be used to see through human hearts!"

Expressions could be faked, words could be made up, proof could be forged.

But Red Spirit completely bypassed these, directly sensing instinctive soul fluctuations.

This was undoubtedly a good interrogation thod, even capable of digging into certain creatures’ deep secrets!

Generally, creatures without specific defenses in this area wouldn’t realize their thoughts could leak.

"Perfect for getting to the bottom of that investigator’s true thoughts."

)

Once the investigator’s background was confird, whether she spoke truth or lies, Carlos could handle her accordingly.

If she really had no problems, he’d naturally let her go. If she had bad intentions, he’d eliminate her directly.

This way Purple Vortex wouldn’t need to keep watching her and could return to Carlos’s side.

"Now in the Desolate Desert, only the final dark mist node Black Sand King remains unhandled. With Purple Vortex present, Dark Purple Force Field can completely restrict boss Black Sand King’s escape."

Thinking this, Carlos decided to return to White Poplar Desert and bring Purple Vortex back.

"Let’s go, we’re leaving."

Carlos had just revealed his intention to recall Red Spirit to summoning space.

Before giving the order or taking action, he saw Red Spirit looking at him pitifully:

This was Carlos’s first ti running into a summoned creature unwilling to return to summoning space.

"...Wah wah!"

"Wah... wah... wah wah!"

While listening, Carlos kept nodding:

"Mm mm... it really is all dark and empty inside."

The skeletons’ summoning space was exactly like this.

They didn’t need beautiful scenery or anything—just having a place to crash was enough.

"The skeletons inside just ’sleep’ and sleep, motionless and not fun at all? Mm... that’s totally normal."

Skeletons, after all, had no normal creature desires.

Without master commands, they could stay motionless in one place for years or even decades.

Listening to Red Spirit’s constant complaints, Carlos increasingly realized skeletons were truly the most low-maintenance summoned creatures.

Other white wolves, brown bears, horned eagles, etc., not only required good food and care but also needed emotional bonding from ti to ti.

But Carlos now faced this sa problem.

Red Spirit, retaining Fire Spirit spirituality, showed extre incompatibility with the original skeleton summoning space.

Carlos tentatively sent out a thought:

"What if you had to go in?"

"Wah!"

Red Spirit felt awful.

Having seen the beautiful outside world, forget that dark, cold summoning space—it didn’t even want to return to its original deep spirit realm.

Red Spirit’s thoughts transmitted clearly to Carlos’s mind through their soul connection.

Putting himself in its shoes, Carlos felt the skeleton summoning space really wasn’t a place normal creatures could stand.

Though Red Spirit’s predecessor, Redrose Shield Guard #1, had no problems whatsoever, the Fire Spirit’s spirituality truly couldn’t bear it.

However, if Carlos forcibly commanded, Red Spirit would definitely obediently enter.

Considering Red Spirit’s feelings, Carlos slowly said:

"Not going in is also fine, but... you must stay put by my side."

"Wah!"

Not having to go in!

Red Spirit began rapidly rotating around its master as flas on its body danced joyfully.

As for having to stay by master’s side always, Red Spirit automatically ignored this.

Because it already wanted to keep circling its master anyway!

"Stop!"

Carlos imdiately called halt. Red Spirit hit the brakes sharply.

"Departing now!"

Wings flapped with storm enhancent.

"Keep up!"

Carlos beca a golden streak of light and rapidly departed!

"Wah!"

Red Spirit reacted, imdiately shooting flas from behind:

Rumbling, it gave chase!

One golden, one red—they quickly vanished in the sky...

....

Before long, several groups of Psionics successively arrived at the Pure White Salt Lands:

"This... this is!!!"

A terrible sight entered their eyes.

The originally rolling salt hills had completely vanished, replaced by a massive deep crater.

Just standing at the crater’s edge, the leftover scorching heat still caused them waves of pain.

Looking around, they couldn’t see the end.

Inside the crater were actually vitrified deep salt blocks, fused into one solid piece that sparkled with multicolored light under sunlight.

Experienced Psionics widened their eyes in disbelief.

This terrifying crater had definitely been lted by extrely terrifying high temperatures!

"What fearso flas!!!"

Thinking back to the flas that had drawn them here, they imdiately understood.

The current glass crater was the result of those terrifying flas’ rampage.

"What monster in the Desolate Desert could cause such terrible attacks!"

More and more Psionics showed up, deeply shocked by this glass crater.

But all stopped at the crater’s edge—not one person dared go down to investigate.

Caution was inevitable.

Who knew what the situation below was?

What if the monster that created this crater was still inside?

If they truly disturbed it, probably not one person present could get out alive.

"Can’t hang around here. Must imdiately return and report this weird situation to higher-ups!"

Unanimously, most Psionics had this thought.

One by one, they quickly took off from this place...
