"Fellas! Skeleton fellas! Those monsters are definitely up to no good!"

The three Psionics hollered frantically, constantly yelling beside the Shield Guards, trying to get their attention.

However, this was obviously like shouting into the wind.

Moreover, after the three Psionics finished their hollering, the monsters in the distance seed to get so kind of signal.

Whole armies surged over, thick as thieves, joining the siege!

This sudden turn of events scared the living daylights out of the three Psionics:

"Aw, hell! The monsters heard us!"

"Hold on! How can these monsters understand what we’re jabbering about!"

"There’s trouble! Big trouble!"

For a mont, they felt eyes watching them from the shadows, sending shivers down their spines.

"Slash!"

"Slash!"

"..."

The Shield Guards cut down several salt giants that had tried to sneak up on them with a few clean strikes.

Salt sand splattered, smacking the dazed three in the face and snapping them back to reality.

The three ca to their senses and saw the skeleton fellas up ahead.

Hands rising, swords falling, chopping one attacking salt giant and salt claw monster after another clean in two.

Not a single monster could punch through the skeleton fellas’ killing zone.

This rock-solid sense of security!!!

The gloom in the three Psionics’ hearts lifted a smidge.

With the skeleton fellas here, what was there to lose sleep over?

...

In the distance on the salt mound, the unsealing secret array finally ca together under the desperate digging of countless monsters!

"Boom!"

In the blink of an eye, wild winds kicked up and the sky turned ugly.

Huge amounts of salt sand got swept into the sky, constantly gathering above the sand dune.

This sudden change made the three Psionics’ eyes go wide as saucers:

"What in Sam Hill is this!?"

They’d never laid eyes on such a sight.

At the sa ti, the monsters all quit their attacking and bowed their heads toward that salt mound in respect!

"Blast it all! Could an even more dangerous monster be hatching!"

From the monster hordes’ reaction, the three Psionics finally cottoned on to the truth.

Their faces looked grim as death.

For such a massive mob of monster hordes to kowtow, how bone-chilling must this soon-to-show-up monster be!

"Slash!"

"Slash!"

"..."

Just then, they kept hearing the razor-sharp sounds of greatswords slicing through air.

Salt sand flew every which way, constantly pelting their noggins.

Looking over, the skeleton fellas were actually taking advantage of these monsters standing stock-still to strike without rcy.

Salt giants and sand claw monsters dropped like flies...

"..."

These monsters were just standing there like sitting ducks, letting the skeleton fellas mow them down?

Then the three got all fired up.

They realized this was a golden opportunity for payback, even to snag so spiritual essence!

"Quick, let’s get in on this!"

The three fired up what little psionic energy they had left, gritting their teeth through their badly busted-up bodies as they took aim at the nearest two salt giants and attacked!

"Boom! Boom!"

Three seconds later, the three went flying backward.

If you can’t keep up with those skeleton monsters’ sword speed, what makes you think you can handle us weaklings?

The two salt giants growled low and were about to finish off the three.

Then... two sword flashes cut them clean in half from top to bottom...

"Ptui! Ptui!"

Salt sand from the dead salt giants splashed into the mouths of the three sprawled on the ground, and they quickly spat it out.

"Dang it! How could they fight back?"

"Yeah! The skeleton fellas clearly cut them down one sword per monster with no coback!"

"Could it be that we’re just too green..."

"..."

They got up, looking with green-eyed envy at the skeleton fellas ahead, constantly butchering powerful monsters.

All the monsters just ’politely’ stuck their necks out for slaughter.

(Monsters: Nothing can stop our hearts’ devotion to welcoming boss’s unsealing!)

"The fellas pulled our fat out of the fire again!"

What magnificent figures—a sense of security welled up from deep in their guts!

"Could it be that the skeleton fellas are the bodies of fallen heroes, and even though they kicked the bucket years ago, they still have the instinct to clear out dark mist monsters!"

The Shield Guards’ repeated life-saving acts successfully made the three Psionics cook up a suitable explanation.

"Even after pushing up daisies, the heroes’ remains still protect us!"

Their eyes filled with tears, hearts full of emotion and guilt.

In this mont, they all made up their minds that when they bit the dust, they must be like these heroes, continuing to give their bones for future generations!

...

In the sky, Carlos didn’t yet know his Shield Guards had gained their first bunch of devoted followers.

He watched the salt mound below where wind and clouds gathered:

"Almost got it unsealed!"

As soon as he spoke, accompanied by an earth-shaking sand howl, the salt mound exploded with a thunderous crash.

A salt sand hurricane condensed, forming a terrifying giant over 30 feet tall!

"Roar!"

The giant howled toward the sky, its voice filled with excitent at busting loose from the seal.

One-Eyed Sand Giant: Spirituality 26, Strength 30, Constitution 10, Speed 12.

At the sa ti, a terrible aura spread as waves of salt surged.

"Roar! Roar!"

Over ten thousand salt giants and salt claw monsters eagerly responded, welcoming their leader’s hocoming!

The montum was trendous, making the three Psionics’ scalps crawl with pure terror.

"Holy Moses! They really were waking up a terrible monster!!!"

"What do we do? What do we do?"

"Can the skeleton fellas stand up to it?"

The giant body over 30 feet tall, the nacing single eye, such bone-chilling presence.

Compared to it, the skeleton fellas seed a ’tad’ outgunned based on what they could see.

They couldn’t help but look worried sick, getting ready to tell the skeleton fellas to beat a hasty retreat.

"Roar!"

The newly freed One-Eyed Sand Giant cast its gaze downward.

It hadn’t forgotten that these little pests had been killing its underlings all along.

Right away, it saw red.

"Roar! Roar! Roar!"

The monsters responded with wild excitent, staring with murder in their eyes at the nearest Shield Guards.

The One-Eyed Sand Giant’s coback seed to give them powerful backbone.

One by one, they answered the One-Eyed Sand Giant’s call and launched wild-eyed attacks.

However... the situation wasn’t much different from before.

These monsters desperately charging forward all beca salt ghosts under the Shield Guards’ swords, even forcing the Shield Guards to pick up the pace in their cleanup.

The three Psionics took cover behind the Shield Guards’ giant shields—not a single monster could break through.

Though their faces stung a bit from getting frequently splattered by salt sand from dead monsters, it couldn’t dampen their excitent.

Safe! Safe! Still safe as houses!

These skeleton fellas transford from fallen heroes were too dependable.

In the monster stampede that had beco several tis more wild-eyed, they stood like unshakeable fortresses.

Monsters that willingly crashed into them only t the fate of being ground to powder!

But the worry in their hearts hadn’t vanished—that monster with bone-chilling presence in the distance hadn’t made its move yet!
