Royer naturally noticed Saul's gaze and smiled at him. "I'll go first. If this fails, then you can try."

Saul directly spread his hands. "Give a sample to study first."

Royer felt awkward. "Aren't you going to watch how I operate?"

Saul patted the iron experintal table. "I used to work in morgues—I'm best at human experints."

"Fine." Royer saw Saul's confidence and could only first extract a sample of bloodline to hand to Saul.

Saul took the bloodline and, ignoring Royer's progress, directly returned to another experintal table and took out various instrunts to begin observation.

He now had obtained the Water God's rmaid bloodline, the rmaid bloodline from Pearl's body, and now the original rmaid bloodline.

He had kept a portion of each.

It wasn't that he wanted to research rmaid modification, but mainly to study the principles of bloodline inheritance through the differences and changes in these bloodlines.

So-called bloodlines weren't just as simple as blood and the cells within—otherwise there wouldn't be situations like puppet emperor Sander sowing seeds monthly only to end up with nothing.

While observing, he suddenly heard Royer "tsk" from his side.

Only then did Saul look up. "Failed?"

Royer turned back, his expression already restored to calm. "Yes, the bloodline beca polluted, but I removed it in ti."

Only then did Saul stand up and go over, discovering Harry's entire right arm had been severed. The severed arm was now lying quietly in a crystal tray, its skin developing needle-like holes at a visible rate.

These holes were continuously growing larger, from less than a milliter in diater to a centiter in diater. The entire arm was covered with holes, looking so disgusting it made one's skin crawl.

Saul didn't rashly use tentacles to absorb the pollution. He had thods for dealing with black tide pollution, but unknown bloodline pollution still required caution.

Even having reached third-rank, he couldn't just charge into everything.

Finally, that left arm turned into a honeycomb-like hollow fra under the observation of two third-rank wizards. The blood and bones inside had completely disappeared.

"The original rmaid royal bloodline is too domineering, so it directly devoured Harry's body. Fortunately you acted quickly, otherwise his entire person would probably be gone." After watching the arm's transformation, Saul seriously analyzed the reasons for experintal failure.

Royer had long known that bloodline fusion experints weren't so simple, so the first failure didn't exceed his expectations.

"This ti... why don't you try, Saul?"

"Alright." Saul didn't decline either. He directly took the liquid Royer had prepared and worked on Harry's other arm.

Because the previous attempt had resulted in Harry's arm being directly annihilated due to the rmaid bloodline being too domineering, Saul chose much more cautious asurents than Royer this ti.

But even being very cautious, Harry's body still couldn't withstand the rmaid bloodline. Even after the bloodline was diluted through bonding agents and injected into veins, it imdiately caused flesh and blood to lose vitality.

Although it didn't develop the strange honeycomb appearance from before, it beca like withered tree branches, losing all activity.

Saul wasn't surprised by his own failure. His emotions didn't change at all as he continued seriously recording experintal reactions and data.

Royer had been watching from the side. Seeing Saul also fail, he sohow felt relieved.

He had invited Saul naturally because he acknowledged the other's abilities. But if he, who had researched for so many years, was surpassed by Saul in one attempt, that would be sowhat embarrassing.

Saul didn't pay attention to what Royer was thinking. He took his recent experintal data and began comparing it with Royer's first experintal data.

As he looked, his brow gradually furrowed.

Royer was also analyzing data. Seeing Saul motionless for a long ti, he stepped forward. "I'll proceed with the third attempt."

Saul retreated to the back, yielding the position.

Next, Royer conducted third and fourth experints. However, each attempt failed.

Now, even though Royer had prepared for several failures, his expression didn't look so good anymore.

Before conducting experints, he had done careful calculations, yet still couldn't see the dawn of success!

Other materials were one thing, but the original rmaid royal bloodline wasn't plentiful. Having failed four tis already, Royer didn't want to conduct a fifth attempt.

He followed Saul's example, taking the four sets of experintal data to analyze.

At this ti, Saul put down the materials in his hands and ca to Royer's side to unceremoniously copy a set.

"Let's stop here for today," Saul said flatly. "If we can't find the specific reasons for failure, consuming more bloodline would just be wasteful."

Royer exhaled. "You're right. There's clearly a problem with the experintal design approach. If we can't find the fundantal cause, there's no point in continuing experints."

Saul pointed at Harry on the experintal table, who no longer looked human. "Will you handle him?"

Royer sighed helplessly. "The current royal bloodline only includes him and Alexandra. We can't let him die yet. You go back—I'll heal him."

"Fine, but even if you heal him, getting him to recover ntally and clearing residual pollution will probably take half a month," Saul reminded him.

Royer calculated the ti. "I know. Before the black tide arrives, there's only one experintal opportunity. If it still can't succeed, I'll go back to strengthening Red Sea Trees."

Regarding temporarily enhancing Red Sea Trees' pollution absorption capabilities, Royer was still quite skilled.

Saul nodded and left directly.

After Saul left, Vanessa, who had long been awakened, appeared at the laboratory door.

She imdiately saw her son lying on the experintal table, no longer human in form. Her eyes instantly filled with tears.

But she only cried silently without speaking to stop Royer from continuing experints.

Royer naturally noticed Vanessa's appearance. His mood wasn't as calm as when Saul was present.

Continuous failures, with completely no experintal data showing any approach to success, made his heart extrely irritated.

Seeing Vanessa, he directly spat out one word.

"Scram!"

Vanessa covered her mouth, not daring to make a sound, and hurriedly turned and ran.

Just as Royer was preparing to heal Harry, an unremarkable candlestick in the laboratory corner suddenly lit up.

The warm yellow light sphere wasn't very bright—it didn't even illuminate its corner—but Royer imdiately put down his tools and hurriedly turned to look.

"Did he act?" A low voice sounded within Royer's soul body.

"No," Royer answered respectfully.

The voice from the candlestick showed no change. "Next ti bring him to conduct rmaid modifications."

Royer was stunned, instinctively wanting to explain his bloodline fusion experint, but the words at his lips beca, "Yes."

"Hiss!"

The candlestick extinguished.

From beginning to end, the voice in the light source never asked a single question about bloodline fusion.

Royer's fists slowly clenched.

This feeling of not having expectations for him really wasn't pleasant.

He temporarily didn't want to deal with Harry. Leaving him out for a night wouldn't kill him anyway.

He wanted to find so diversion. It couldn't be Vanessa—she was still useful and couldn't die.

Several hours later, Royer got up from a bed full of severed limbs, gently sucking his blood-stained fingers.

By now his mood had cald down.

"Alfonso, Alfonso, I've already helped you this much. You mustn't really walk down that path of no return!"
