Although this advancent was successful, Saul's head was shrouded in dark clouds.

The final scene he witnessed in his dream was hardly a good on.

Especially those white pages scattered across the entire ocean, which seed to represent that the diary had also undergone major changes.

"If the left side represents the past, then the right side likely represents the future. But the future is constantly changing, with only a few scenes visible clearly. Does this an that the scenes we can see clearly are most likely to beco reality in the future?"

The Magic Reservoir was still operating, though there wasn't much magical power left inside.

When the magical power was exhausted, Saul suddenly discovered a flickering ball of light in the Magic Reservoir. This light orb was confined to the very bottom of the reservoir, and if Saul hadn't absorbed the magical tal inside, it would have been difficult to notice.

Saul controlled his floating body to slowly descend, landing at the bottom of the Magic Reservoir.

Now he could see more clearly—the light orb looked like a small ball of yarn, or perhaps a cocoon.

Saul couldn't discern its composition, but he could sense the vigorous life force emanating from it!

"This also seems to be a fate line, but it's not stretched out. Instead, it's wound into a ball and sealed here."

Fate line was Saul's term for the thin thread he had grasped in his dream. After all, calling it a "thin thread" all the ti lacked sophistication.

Saul had just developed his special second-rank ability based on the diary's power, but his research into fate lines was still limited.

However, he no longer needed to be as cautious as before.

He leaned forward, touching the light orb with his fingertip.

The mont of contact brought a bright yet sowhat sinister face into Saul's mind.

This face seed familiar, though Saul couldn't imdiately retrieve the corresponding information from his mory.

The woman's eyes curved upward, smiling slightly, as if speaking to soone.

"This is a fate line from the past."

The past ant it was already fixed.

Saul continued exploring the contents of this fate line.

Next, the scene shifted. The woman suddenly showed a furious expression, her eyebrows nearly knitted together. Even with just the visual, one could feel the overwhelming presence emanating from her. The powerful pressure rushed forward like a hurricane.

However, the woman's anger didn't last long. Her eyelids began to droop uncontrollably, as if she might fall asleep at any mont.

The woman's temples throbbed, seemingly struggling desperately against the drowsing force.

Yet her struggle ultimately failed.

The mont the woman completely closed her eyes, her entire body suddenly shattered into countless pieces like porcelain.

Imdiately after, an unknown force appeared, directly reassembling the fragnted woman.

Only now, the woman's left hand was missing a section of finger.

Seeing this scene, Saul finally rembered where he had seen the woman's face before.

When he was coerced by the Old Witch into researching the Perfect Body Transformation formula, he had seen in the Baisek Magic Mirror that the Old Witch had transford into another appearance—a beautiful woman's appearance.

However, Saul wasn't clear about the specific abilities of the Baisek Magic Mirror, so he hadn't investigated further.

The historical scene ended.

The light that had been curled into a ball suddenly stretched out, flickered a few tis, then completely disappeared from Saul's palm.

"The fate line disappeared? No, it should have returned!"

Saul straightened up, already having suspicions about the woman's identity.

"The Old Witch?"

He leaped up, not caring about the remaining scattered magical power, and jumped directly out of the Magic Reservoir.

He needed to find the Old Witch—her identity seed even more complex than he had originally imagined!

However, when Saul landed, he was stunned to find soone standing outside the Magic Reservoir.

Agu, who had been on guard duty, was lying unconscious on the ground.

And Penny was trapped like a real butterfly inside a glass sphere in that person's hand.

Seeing Saul erge, the other party placed one hand on their chest and bowed elegantly.

"Congratulations, Master, on advancing to second-rank wizard."

Saul looked at the other party with so surprise, then felt it would be normal to see him anywhere.

"Kist, is the Old Witch the real Wind Sprite?"

Kist raised his head, with several silver bangs falling in front of his eyes, making his expression sowhat blurred.

"Yes, my Master, you've guessed correctly again."

...

In another hidden cave.

The Old Witch confronting the fragnted woman suddenly felt a coolness at the back of her head, followed by what seed like a hand wiping away fog from a mirror surface, making everything clear and distinct.

Her eyes widened slightly. "It's ? I am the Wind Sprite Pei'er? So I am the Wind Sprite Pei'er."

The sudden return of long-sealed cognition left the Old Witch—or rather, Pei'er—sowhat confused.

anwhile, the fake Wind Sprite finally realized the Old Witch's true identity.

She shook her head in disbelief. "Impossible! When did she escape Clark's confinent?"

The fake Wind Sprite turned and ran, her movent finally rousing Pei'er from her imrsion in past mories.

Pei'er turned her head to see the fake Wind Sprite not running outside, but charging toward a corner of the cave.

There, several crystalline icicles hung down from the ceiling.

Despite the cave's moderate temperature, the icicles showed no signs of lting.

The Old Witch imdiately recognized sothing was wrong with those ice crystals and raised her hand to stop the fake Wind Sprite.

Two wind columns t in the air, but one was quickly shattered by the other.

The victorious wind column struck the fake Wind Sprite forcefully, but was blocked by her protective spells.

Though the fake Wind Sprite wasn't injured, she staggered several steps, slowing down.

The Old Witch seized this opportunity to cast again, releasing four or five wind walls around the icicles, directly surrounding them.

"If I can't outrun you, then I'll just protect the target," the Old Witch grinned, showing her teeth. "Nerela, so all this ti, it's been you impersonating ."

The fake Wind Sprite Nerela stopped in her tracks. She knew her current state was poor and she was no longer a match for the Old Witch. Moreover, the other party seed to have awakened her sealed cognitive mories—even if her abilities hadn't changed, her strength had definitely increased dramatically!

"Clark will soon discover that the Wind Sprite has awakened, but as long as we notify the Dreammaker before she fully recovers her strength, our plan can still continue." Nerela glanced sideways at the icicles.

Those were dreams Clark had left here. Every ti the Wind Sprite's body showed signs of movent, Nerela would release the dreams inside, causing Wind Sprite Pei'er to fall back into slumber.

But now the dreams in the icicles couldn't be released imdiately. Even if the Dreammaker could co later to confine Wind Sprite Pei'er's consciousness again, by that ti she would definitely already be killed by the Wind Sprite!

After thinking this through, Nerela was no longer in a hurry to notify Clark. She finally released the remaining third-rank pressure from her body, causing Pei'er, who hadn't yet recovered, to freeze completely.

Then, instead of taking this opportunity to attack Pei'er—knowing that with the other party's abilities, she definitely couldn't kill her in one strike—Nerela turned and ran toward the passage she had co from.

Nerela knew that if she wanted to survive, she had to imdiately activate the Magic Reservoir and advance from second-rank to third-rank!

The traps along the way and the dream traps Clark had left behind should be able to delay Pei'er's pursuit!
