Turning his head, Saul saw Byron still sitting there, reading, his posture unchanged.

Byron’s locator device must be very suited to him.

But this new locator device...

"Senior, why do you still look like yourself even though you're wearing an elf's head? I thought your appearance would change." Saul told Byron about the stunning effect when Kongsha used this head.

Byron lowered his head and looked at his own body. "You're right, I can feel that this layer of skin should be able to change my appearance according to my ntal power. But in my perception, this is the way I am."

"Then you can develop other functions in the future too, Senior."

Byron nodded. "Once I'm familiar with it, I should be able to change as freely as I did before."

As freely as before?

Saul recalled "Balloon Byron" and "Human-skin Byron" and suddenly froze. This wasn’t the kind of change he wanted!

Alright, no more teasing Senior.

Saul rummaged through his bag, pulling out an eyeball and tossing it to Byron.

Byron caught it in confusion. "What is this?"

"It’s a magic item I got a long ti ago. The Phantom Eye.”

"I’ve heard of the Phantom Eye. It can create sounds in the enemy’s mind that either make them familiar or fearful." Byron’s expression was sowhat conflicted.

"Yes... What's wrong?"

Byron shook his head. "Nothing, just a little unfamiliar."

His voice lowered for a mont, but quickly rose again. "I understand now. This item is indeed very suited for this skin. I'll get the hang of using it."

With that, Byron’s left eye suddenly retracted into its socket, and then he "plopped" the Phantom Eye into his left eye socket.

Saul gaped, watching.

Sure enough, even with the elf king's head, wearing it on Senior made the style look bizarre!

He clicked his tongue in his heart and pulled out another item. "Give this to Keli when she wakes up."

Saul left Keli a notebook. After learning that Keli planned to integrate Alpha toxin into her locator device, and considering her mastery of the tal elent, Saul had taken the opportunity to organize so information about radioactive tals he had previously attempted to use to resolve Alpha toxin, leaving it for Keli.

It was also his birthday gift for Keli.

He believed Keli would study and apply it carefully.

Should be...

"Are you leaving?" Byron suddenly looked up and asked as he took the notebook for Keli.

Saul was a bit surprised that Byron knew he was about to leave, but quickly realized it made sense.

Without Gorsa’s Wizard Tower, it had lost its most important value.

And trying to build a Wizard Tower here would be very difficult.

This place was a gift from the Kema Duchy to Gorsa. After he left, they might not be willing to let others take possession. The interactions with neighboring countries and major powers would also pose challenges.

Moreover, it was obvious that Gorsa was not the type to build connections.

He just walked away, leaving a pile of people and matters behind.

Luckily, ntor Kaz was more responsible; otherwise, the remaining apprentices in the Wizard Tower would have a hard ti continuing their studies and promotion.

At the sa ti, Saul couldn't go to the Kema Duchy with ntor Kaz.

Even if it were stable there, the potential for growth would be limited.

What Gorsa had told him inside the Bronze Gate’s world was clearly a warning that danger would arise in the future. If he didn’t want to beco cannon fodder, he needed to beco stronger as soon as possible.

After that, Saul thought a lot.

He thought about the disappearance of the elves, about Gorsa’s obsession with the resurrection experints, and about the massive sinkhole on the other side of this planet...

The satisfaction of becoming a true wizard gradually faded, replaced by a desire to advance further and beco stronger.

Byron had been observing Saul’s reaction. Seeing his expression, he knew he wasn’t wrong.

He closed his book and placed it on his lap, then said seriously to Saul, "Since you’ve made up your mind, then let’s leave as soon as possible. There’s nothing left to hold on to here."

Saul hesitated for a mont, glancing at Keli.

Before Saul could speak, Byron said, "Keli’s condition has stabilized. The locator device, though still risky, is sothing you can’t protect her from forever. And during this ti, you don’t need to worry. I’ll keep an eye on her."

Byron patted the book on his lap again. "Of course, I’ll also use this opportunity to re-advance to Third Rank and then push straight for true wizard status. If I succeed, I’ll co find you."

Saul’s shoulders relaxed little by little. "I’ll head to the Borderland... If you co, I’ll naturally welco you! Alright, Senior, you’re right. I really should set off."

It was hard to leave his holand. Even though he had only stayed here for a few years, he had experienced so much and grown so much. Leaving still made him feel a little sentintal.

Saul raised his hand, and thick black tendrils stretched out, gently tapping his palm, as if they knew Saul was about to leave and were bidding him farewell.

"Little Algae, I'm leaving here, and I don't know when I'll be back. Will you stay, or co with ?" Saul spoke in a low voice.

Unlike Penny and the four consciousness entities, the Soul-Devouring Mire’s main body was here, and it hadn’t been sealed by the diary.

Over the years, Saul had never signed any master-servant contract with Little Algae. So Little Algae was actually a free being.

A black tentacle, as thick as a forearm, suddenly erged from the back of Saul’s neck.

The tip of the tentacle split into a shark-like mouth, "clicking" its teeth at Saul.

Then, it spiraled around Saul’s neck, twisting until his neck beca a ball larger than his head.

"Don't pretend to be dumb with !" Saul started to laugh midway, "Alright, I get it."

Little Algae had no intention of leaving Saul. In fact, it was likely preparing to "strangle" him. For this, it even gave up the huge tentacles that had grown in the underground laboratory.

Too heavy, it couldn’t move them.

Saul finally packed up his belongings and left the ruins of the Wizard Tower early the next morning.

When he left, he didn’t say goodbye to anyone. The only person who knew Saul was leaving, Senior Byron, didn’t co out to see him off.

It was as if Saul had just gone on an outing and would be back soon.

He originally wanted to take Hayden with him, but after Byron checked Hayden’s condition, he deed it unwise for him to travel, so he left him with ntor Kaz.

After all, Hayden was also ntor Kaz’s student.

But even though Saul was leaving alone, he still had a large team with him.

He took a two-horse carriage that could carry six people, along with many pieces of luggage.

Many magical materials with life properties couldn’t fit in a compressed storage bag.

Moreover, his compressed storage bag wasn’t that big.

Apart from the many belongings, there were also quite a few people on Saul’s carriage...

"Herman, drive more smoothly!" Ann leaned out of the window, knocking on the wooden fra, "My potions are ruined!"

Ann was organizing Saul’s luggage. It was all packed in a ssy, cramped way, and she couldn’t bear to look at it any longer.

But during the sorting, the carriage suddenly jumped, and she accidentally crushed a potion bottle she was holding.

"The ground is destroyed, and I can’t help it. We’ll be entering the forest soon, so don’t bother cleaning it up!"

The longer they spent together, the more familiar the consciousness entities beca with each other.

Their conversations naturally weren’t as polite as before.

Morden smiled happily as he watched Ann and Herman argue.

Agu wore a serious expression. Ever since learning they were heading to the Borderland, this was the face he wore.

A silver butterfly fluttered in front of Saul, buzzing with a little girl’s voice as it sweetly begged, "Brother Saul, just a little more, please!"

Saul deliberately scowled, crossing his arms, "No, if you eat too much Veiled Crystal Essence at once, you’ll fall into a deep sleep!"

"I won’t, I won’t, Brother Saul~~~"

The carriage entered the forest and swayed a bit more.

A black tentacle suddenly shot out from the window, biting off an unripe fruit from the treetop.

"Click, click, click, click!"

The jagged mouth twisted, and was quickly pulled away by the increasingly distant carriage with a "whoosh."

The sunlight grew brighter as it filtered through the leaves, casting beams of light down.

A sigh echoed in the air, filled with tiny specks of dust.

"Little Algae, stop eating random stuff..."
