Facing Saul's questioning, Kist showed no guilt. "Of course I was trying to help you."

Saul narrowed his eyes. "You said you would help with your life. Is this your idea of sacrificing your life?"

Kist smiled brilliantly. "Hehe, we haven't reached the critical mont yet, have we?"

Saul lowered his head to look at the sea beneath his feet.

The seawater had now completely turned black, and the familiar pollution aura was like an awakening sea monster, baring its fangs and claws at the world, demonstrating its presence.

The Abyssal Eye had completely appeared in the northern waters of Iskaper.

Bits of white erged from the seawater.

The mont they appeared, the pollution fluctuations below rose several levels.

Even Saul and Kist began to feel pressure.

"The Abyssal Eye." Saul looked at the abyss below.

Although he had once risked descending into the abyss, seeing the active Abyssal Eye again still didn't make him lower his guard.

The current Abyssal Eye was not the one from before that would only passively defend and prevent Saul from entering.

Large numbers of gray-white skeletons erged from the seawater. They stood on the undulating sea surface. Whether they had heads or not, they all raised so part of their bodies, using what seed to be their eyes to stare at Saul.

anwhile, Iskaper Continent behind Saul continued approaching, and so wizards could already be seen clearly on the continent.

Those people were waving their arms, seemingly calling for help.

But Saul currently had no energy to pay attention to them.

"The Abyssal Eye has appeared, but the red worms haven't returned yet. Sky City should appear now."

Kist shrugged. "Sky City is in Douglas's hands. He'll definitely wait until Iskaper falls into the abyss before throwing Sky City in."

"Sky City isn't in Douglas's hands—it's in Frim's hands."

Kist raised an eyebrow, wanting to ask, "Is there a difference?"

Saul slowly raised one hand. "Frim is in my hands."

Kist was stunned.

Saul's figure instantly disappeared and instantly reappeared.

But when he reappeared, he was already gripping Frim's arm.

"Now!" Saul shouted loudly.

Frim's forehead suddenly split open, revealing a colorful pupil eye.

The mont that eye appeared, Frim, who had originally been sowhat confused and unaware of what was happening, imdiately beca resolute.

He suddenly raised his hand and directly twisted off his own head, then threw it toward the sea whirlpool below. His body imdiately lost vitality and fell downward.

The falling head showed not a drop of blood, but the mont it fell into the very center of the Abyssal Eye, it suddenly exploded.

Among the shattered skull and yellow-white brain matter, a model only thumb-sized was revealed.

That model fell into the water and suddenly expanded, transforming in the span of a breath into a giant floating island—Sky City!

Sky City's volu was even larger than the current Abyssal Eye. As soon as it appeared, it was directly stuck in the Abyssal Eye's whirlpool.

The abyss's black tide pollution naturally wouldn't be truly blocked. It imdiately began rapidly corroding the land beneath Sky City.

Sky City, which had been shrouded in clouds and mist for years, finally revealed the lower half of its mountain body.

Among the brown stone and soil, silver-gray tal pipes could occasionally be seen. White smoke would intermittently erge from cracks in the pipes.

Due to the black tide's corrosion, the lower half of Sky City's mountain body was also rapidly disintegrating.

Therefore, although Sky City was sowhat larger than the current Abyssal Eye, it was still being rapidly eroded by the latter.

However, at this mont, the anchor point monsters erging from the abyss began pushing Sky City's mountain body outward!

They were actually refusing Sky City's entry into the abyss!

"Kist, what are you doing?" Douglas's voice suddenly rang out overhead.

Saul and Kist both looked up to see Douglas, who had appeared above them at so unknown ti.

Douglas's figure kept flickering, his body seeming to be cut into thousands of thin strips. These strips continued trembling and misaligning, making Douglas look like a precarious puppet built from blocks.

But Saul could clearly perceive that Douglas's body had beco this way because he was still in so spatial crevice and hadn't completely co over.

Hearing this, Kist turned to look at Saul. "I just thought that perhaps waiting until Iskaper Continent is pulled over before acting wouldn't be too late."

Upon hearing this, Saul imdiately teleported without hesitation.

However, this ti Kist didn't pretend to be foolish anymore, or rather, Douglas's appearance forced him to act.

He raised his hand and fiercely grabbed at the air, his fingers imdiately grasping several invisible thin threads. The threads imdiately cut his fingers, and fresh blood dripped down his palm.

With Kist's fierce grab, the air nearby suddenly shook, and then Saul's figure suddenly appeared.

He seed to be pulled by sothing, his form uncontrollably leaning backward.

He looked back in disbelief, saw Kist's hand, and his eyes imdiately narrowed.

"My poor little brother master, you've enjoyed the convenience of the Dead Wizard's Diary for so long—it's ti you learn to feel the constraints it brings to people like ."

Kist's hand pulled back again, and Saul's body continued moving backward uncontrollably by a large step.

Saul lowered his head, feeling sothing being extracted from his body.

"How is this possible?"

It was Douglas above who answered him.

"The Dead Wizard's Diary is the masterpiece of a sixth-rank being. You don't really think you truly control it, do you?"

Douglas's illusory, misaligned face showed a satisfied smile. "However, your degree of fusion with it is so high, which is quite convenient for ."

Saul's entire body imdiately transford into a combination of dozens of tentacles, trying to resist, but he discovered he still couldn't prevent the diary from being extracted from his body!

Saul looked on in horror, trying to stop the diary from leaving, but Douglas above was dissatisfied with Kist's efficiency.

"What are you dawdling for? This is your last chance to gain freedom. Don't forget why you called over."

"To be able to see the world beyond the stars." Kist whispered, then looked coldly at Saul. "I'm sorry, my little brother master. I've used you once again."

Then he exerted force again, blood from his fingers dripping like broken pearls.

But after this exertion, a dark red hardcover book suddenly appeared at Saul's chest.

It was the Dead Wizard's Diary that had accompanied him for so long!

However, when the diary completely left Saul's body, he could still feel a connection between the diary and himself.

Unlike his fate lines, the diary's threads were tough and sharp like steel wire, pulling at his soul like pulling a puppet.

The other end of the thread was connected to Kist.

"So... even though I returned your soul fragnt to you, you're still the diary's marionette?" Saul asked in a daze.

Kist slowly raised his head. He was smiling on his face, but his silver eyes seed to be crying.

"This is my fate—it always plays lancholic tunes."
