Dr. Anne briefed Rosemary about Sean’s condition, and concluded with a cautionary note, "From a dical perspective, the surgery would necessitate opening Sean’s heart, but what we concern is the risk of a sudden and massive hemorrhage during the operation. Given Sean’s prominent status, we wouldn’t risk proceeding with surgery without a 70-to-80-percent likelihood of success."

"But now, with Dr. Bell on board, it’s like a weight has been lifted." Dr. Anne said with a relieved smile.

"Dr. Bell, do you think we could make a minor incision near the bullet without fully opening up the chest,so that we could extract the bullet with minimal risk?" Dr. Anne asked, seeking guidance with genuine respect.

"The bullet has been there for months, and it’s already embedded itself in the heart tissue. A full thoracotomy is a must." Dr. Bell replied with authority.

Before Dr. Bell’s arrival, Anne and her team would never have dread of performing such a risky operation on Sean.

But with Dr. Bell, Dr. Bell was just like their lighthouse in a storm.

Anne believed that today, Sean would definitely be snatched from the jaws of death! Soon after, the lights of the operating theater ca on.

In a newly opened VIP suite, Horace lay in his hospital bed, popping grapes into his mouth and spitting out the seeds for Sean’s bodyguards to catch.

"Catch every single one," he drawled with a smirk. "If any drop on the floor and I beco even slightly annoyed, one call from , and Sean’s done for," he said, mimicking the gesture of snapping a neck.

The bodyguards tensed, their eyes fixed on Horace, hands clutching disposable bowls, not daring to let their guard down for even a second.

Inside the OR.

After Dr. Doreen had administered the anesthesia to Sean, Dr. Anne sterilized the surgical area, and Rosemary made a precise and swift incision into the patient’s chest, forming a cross-shaped cut in the

heart.

The OR was under surveillance, so when Steward saw the scene unfold, he was transfixed with shock.

He couldn’t believe that the girl, apparently no older than a teenager, possessed such quick and accurate surgical skills. Her eyes, brimming with confidence and clarity, seed as if they had seen countless high-stakes situations. Not for a mont did she exhibit hesitation, even when operating on a patient of such high status.

She was composed, calm, like a veteran doctor with decades of practice, orchestrating the surgery with effortless grace.

As Rosemary articulated complex dical jargon, directed the operation in seamless concert with two world-renowned physicians, and placed her skillful hands on Sean, Steward realized how fortunate

they were in having Dr. Bell conducting the surgery...

He never imagined that the elusive Dr. Bell they had spent months seeking was right before their eyes.

It felt like stumbling upon what you were looking for right under your nose.

Rembering how the young girl had awed them from her very first appearance, outboxing professional fighters, outsprinting professional racers, and now outmatching professional doctors in their craft.

This girl was truly extraordinary, a marvel to behold.

At that mont, soone knocked on the door.

Steward turned to find Derrick Finn, a young man of considerable stature, walking into the room.

The Finn family influence was far and wide, both at ho and abroad, with a vast array of businesses, one of which was this Hospital, a property owned by Derrick.

"Mr. Finn," Steward greeted him with due respect.

Derrick nodded slightly, his gentle deanor and radiant smile enhanced by the gold-rimd glasses upon his nose, lending him an air of both innocence and allurent.

"I heard Sean was undergoing surgery at my hospital and I wanted to personally see to the matter."

From the monitor, the lead surgeon’s clear, confident gaze, along with her commanding aura, stirred his curiosity.

"Is she the doctor you guys have brought with you?" His gaze focused on the surveillance screen, which shows a clear image of a pretty young woman. "How old is she? She can lead a surgery already?"

"She’s Dr. Bell," Steward inford him.

"The famous, elusive Dr. Bell? She’s just a girl?" Derrick was intrigued. So many had assud Dr. Bell was so elder.

"So, you’re saying she can extract the bullet from Sean’s heart?"

Given Dr. Bell’s presence, it shouldn’t be a problem.

"Dr. Bell is assuredly one hundred percent certain she can do it."

Derrick looked impressed. Indeed, Dr. Bell sure knows how to make a promise.

And just how stunning might she be under that mask?

Derrick knew a bit about Sean’s condition. Back when it happened, none of the top doctors at the hospital would guarantee a successful surgery. Yet, to his surprise, rely a few months later, they had Dr. Bell ready to operate on Sean.

"After the surgery, Sean can recuperate at my hospital with ease. I’ll ensure he gets the best room and top-notch care. I just want the guy back on his feet as soon as possible."

"Thank you, Mr. Finn," Steward bowed in gratitude, "On behalf of Sean, and all our people, we appreciate your kindness."

"Think nothing of it."

Three hours later.

The bullet that had lodged itself in Sean’s heart was finally removed.

According to the available records, there had only been five cases worldwide of a person surviving a gunshot to the heart. Sean was Solterra’s first.

"Dr. Bell’s expertise is truly remarkable." Dr. Anne said excitedly. "There’s so much I’ve learned."

"The sa here. Sean is incredibly fortunate." Dr. Doreen added, relieved. "That bullet had been in his heart for months, and yet he managed to live almost normally in that ti."

"The key thing is, Sean lived to be treated by Dr. Bell. Had it been with any of us, frankly, we wouldn’t have been as certain."

"Now Sean can live without worries, nor the agonies of illness. Dr. Bell, how was Sean able to survive after being shot?" Dr. Doreen asked earnestly.

Rosemary responded coolly, "The bullet didn’t pierce the heart directly from the back of the chest cavity, but entered at an angle into the heart muscle. It didn’t penetrate the chamber or severely damage the blood vessels in the heart muscle. Instead, it was over ti encapsulated by the heart tissue. That’s

why Sean didn’t suffer a fatal hemorrhage and has survived to this point."

"I figured as much," Dr. Anne added. "Had it struck a major vessel, he wouldn’t have made it."

Rosemary nodded, affirming that assessnt.

"Dr. Bell, would you be willing to stay back to sign an autograph for ?"

"Dr. Bell, may I have a photo with you? Also, I have so quick questions if you wouldn’t mind, they shouldn’t take more than a few minutes."

Rosemary agreed.

After the photo opportunity, autograph signings, and answering their questions, Rosemary removed her scrubs, sanitized her hands, and stepped out of the OR.

The doors to the OR swung open, and Dr. Anne and Dr. Doreen wheeled Sean out. Steward rushed forward, "Sean."

"He’s still under anesthesia. He should co around in a couple of hours."

Upon hearing Rosemary’s words, Steward and his crew gathered around her. "We apologize, Dr. Bell, but we need you to stay until Sean regains consciousness."
