"Your business partner is waiting," Rosemary teased with a playful tone.

"I’ll have to go then," Roo said, patting her cheek affectionately. "See you tonight."

"Mm." Rosemary watched him leave.

Elgin nodded respectfully at Rosemary before chasing after Roo.

"Mr. McMillian, I already explained the project plan and the future revenue forecast on the cable car ride. What do you think?"

"Let’s see."

Elgin’s heart skipped a beat. Trouble!

"Is there an issue with the project plan, or are you dissatisfied with the revenue forecast?" Elgin caught up with Roo again, nervously smiling. "We can discuss any problems, as long as McMillian Corporation is willing to give us a chance to cooperate."

"We’ll see."

Roo left the ski resort and drove away.

Elgin watched the disappearing car, completely puzzled. Had he said or done sothing wrong? Or was Roo just naturally enigmatic?

Rosemary was about to continue skiing when she saw a group of staff mbers running toward her, out of breath.

"Ms. Rose, is everything okay?"

According to Rosemary’s original ski route, she should have arrived ten minutes ago. But after waiting for a full ten minutes and seeing no sign of Rosemary, they had assud sothing went wrong and started searching for her.

Rosemary quickly reassured them, "I’m fine. I just decided to try a different slope."

"Are you sure you’re not hurt?" the staff asked, their faces full of concern.

"I’m fine."

The staff let out a sigh of relief.

"Ms. Rose, if you decide to try a different slope next ti, let us know so we can keep an eye on you."

"That won’t be necessary," Rosemary said gently. "It’s not crowded here. I want to enjoy so ti alone."

"If you need anything, feel free to call us."

A staff mber handed her a business card.

"You also have a whistle in your pocket. If your phone loses signal or runs out of battery, just blow the whistle and we’ll be there right away."

"Okay," Rosemary said, appreciating their dedication. "I’ll be heading off now."

"We hope you have fun, Ms. Rose."

The staff mbers bowed respectfully as Rosemary glided away.

After a while, Rosemary was about to take a break when she heard a surprised voice.

"Is that you?"

Rosemary looked up to see Angela and a friend removing their helts and ski goggles, glaring at her. They were also checking if Kelly was around.

"Isn’t Kelly with you?" Angela asked, her chin lifted high, looking down on Rosemary. How unlucky! She had planned to enjoy a peaceful Christmas Eve with her friend skiing, but she didn’t expect to run into Kelly’s friend.

Rosemary ignored them and continued skiing down another slope, planning to rest sowhere else.

"Angela, she just ignored you!" Darlene was furious. "It must be because Mr. Sampson spoke up for them on the cruise. Now she thinks she’s sobody, that she has a powerful backer!"

"Let’s go and follow her." A touch of annoyance flickered in Angela’s eyes.

The ski slopes here were long and they were quite a distance from the main lodge.

Angela and Darlene quickened their pace, chasing after Rosemary, but to their dismay, she was an excellent skier.

The ski slope was particularly smooth, and Rosemary moved with a lightness and grace that provoked a pang of jealousy in them.

Damn, how could she ski that well?

After a while, Rosemary found a quiet spot, took off her ski goggles and gloves, and prepared to take a break.

Angela and Darlene caught up quickly. Darlene even raised her chin arrogantly, asking disdainfully:

"Hey, what’s your na?"

Being able to get into Sampson’s ski resort and being friends with Kelly indicated that she was from a well-off family. But the extent of her wealth was still unknown.

"You must know Angela, right? My na’s Darlene, you must have heard of ." Darlene was attempting to intimidate her with her prestigious status.

Seeing them catching up again, Rosemary took out her phone and sent a WhatsApp ssage to Kelly:

[Who is Darlene?]

[Is that little pest bothering you?] Kelly replied quickly. [She’s just Angela’s lapdog and sidekick. She once spilled wine on my dress at a party and has spread loads of rumors about . Is she giving you trouble?]

[Just ran into them.] Rosemary smirked after reading Kelly’s ssage. [I’ll get back at her for you.]

"Hey, I’m talking to you. Are you deaf?" Darlene, arms crossed over her chest, glared at Rosemary.

"Is there anyone here?" Rosemary looked up lazily. "All I hear is a dog barking."

Darlene was fuming.

"I’ve been to countless high society balls and charity dinners, and I’ve never seen you. You must have chard Mr. Sampson to be able to ski here!"

Angela thought this made sense.

Rosemary and her family had never attended any of the international events that all the high-ranking families had attended.

They had also never seen Rosemary in any pictures with Sampson until that night on the yacht, when the internet exploded with pictures of Sampson shopping with his girlfriend.

Bodyguards were carrying hundreds of shopping bags.

"Could you be the one who chard Mr. Sampson that night?" Angela sneered at Rosemary.

"Shaless, pretending to be all high and mighty, but who knows how many tis you’ve been played? And you dare to act high and mighty in front of us?"

A cold glint appeared in Rosemary’s eyes. They were really asking for it.

"Last ti, Mr. Sampson said that one should know when to make a scene, and I think this is a good ti."

Angela was ready to teach her a lesson. After all, Sampson had only warned them not to bother Kelly. But he hadn’t said anything about Rosemary.

Darlene thought, For a girl who only knew how to use Mr. Sampson’s credit card and spend lavishly, Sampson would surely get bored of her soon.

Even if Rosemary complained to Sampson later, there were no caras here, she had no proof, and Sampson couldn’t do anything to them.

It was a good idea to take out their frustration on Rosemary since they couldn’t hurt Kelly.

"So, are you planning to fight?" Rosemary smirked, showing so interest.

"Enough talk." Angela picked up her helt and swung it at Rosemary.

At the sa ti, Darlene also swung her ski pole at Rosemary.

Elsewhere, Kenneth and Louisa were taking a break in the luxurious on-site restaurant after a tiring ski session.
