Jennifer was pulling George along with her, heading to the hospital to visit Bernard and Cornelia.

"I’m so thrilled to see you both awake." Jennifer’s smile was graceful and charming. "I heard that Rose was the one who saved you. Her dical skills are simply extraordinary. She saved once too."

Jennifer began recounting the incident—how she had been betrayed by her best friend, poisoned with a dangerous toxin, and how Rose had been her savior. Without Rosemary, the consequences would have been disastrous.

"That friend of yours is truly devious." Cornelia couldn’t help but sympathize with Jennifer. "You treated her like family, and yet she betrayed you like this."

"Eventually, she couldn’t find a competent doctor to detoxify her and got what she deserved." Jennifer’s gaze dimd montarily.

Noticing a sketch on the bedside table, she couldn’t help asking, "Is this Rose’s work?"

"How can you recognize that?" Bernard seed slightly surprised from his hospital bed.

"I can recognize Mirabelle’s style anywhere." Jennifer picked up the sketch to admire it. She was amazed that soone could create such a masterpiece with just a ballpoint pen and a piece of A4 paper. "It’s profound and lifelike. Rose’s artistic prowess is truly impressive."

"She’s also a renowned calligrapher," Bernard added with a chuckle.

"I know. Rose has so many talents—it’s hard to keep track. You two are truly blessed to have such an exceptional granddaughter." Jennifer couldn’t help showering Rosemary with praise. "She’s beautiful, intelligent, modest, kind, and well-behaved. George and I adore her."

"Indeed, having such a daughter-in-law is a blessing for our McMillian family," George echoed Jennifer’s sentints. "Rest assured, Rose will always be treated well in our family."

"Roo wanted to co today too, but sothing urgent ca up at the company." Jennifer gestured toward the gifts nearby. "These are from him. He wanted to show his respect to you both."

"That’s very kind of him," Cornelia said warmly. She knew Jennifer and George’s visit—and Roo’s generous gifts—were all because they approved of Rosemary.

Cornelia was overjoyed that her granddaughter was so well-received by her future in-laws. Yet, she couldn’t help but think of Serena. No matter how hard Serena had tried in the past, she had never been favored by the McMillian family.

In the end, Rosemary was simply far superior. She carried the blood of the Collins family.

Serena did not.

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

"Co in."

"Grandpa, Grandma." Rosemary entered the room, surprised to see it so lively. "George, Jennifer, you’re here too!"

"Rose!" All four people in the room brightened at the sight of her.

Jennifer personally went up to Rosemary, holding her hand and asking how she was doing. George didn’t forget to ntion how his wife had been talking about Rose at ho. Bernard eagerly waited for Rose to show him her new artwork, while Cornelia chatted about how Carson had stayed up all night admiring Rose’s sketches.

Seeing how popular Rosemary was, Serena—who had followed behind—could only quietly greet the elders.

Only then did the four notice her.

"Serena, you’re here too. Co in and sit down."

Serena followed them in, her presence barely acknowledged.

Rose sat in the chair between the two hospital beds, Jennifer holding one of her hands and Cornelia the other. Everyone laughed and chatted, but Serena’s eyes dimd.

She seed easily overlooked. Whenever Rose was around, she beca the least noticeable one.

After Clark greeted everyone, he patted Serena’s shoulder. "Let’s go make so tea for them."

With Haley not in the room, Serena had no choice but to help prepare and serve tea.

"You’re telling George even hit soone for Rose? Good for him!" Bernard grew so excited he waved his hands. "If I were there, I’d have hit him too!"

"Indeed, that was way over the line. He deserved that punch!" Jennifer chuckled.

Cornelia was too stunned to speak, never expecting the usually reserved George to throw a punch for his future daughter-in-law.

"Here’s so tea." Serena served the drinks. "Grandma, Grandpa, yours. Rose, this one’s yours."

"Let help you." Jennifer took Rosemary’s cup, finding it too hot, and placed it on the bedside table. "Wait a bit before drinking—it’s still scalding."

"Rose, could you help check my phone? I think it might be broken." Bernard fumbled for his reading glasses and shakily opened his phone. "I sent you a WhatsApp request last night. Why haven’t you accepted yet? Did I do sothing wrong?"

Rosemary couldn’t help but smile, pulling out her own phone. "I just haven’t accepted it yet."

She had worried that if she accepted late at night, Bernard would stay up chatting. She’d ant to do it this morning but forgot upon waking.

To Serena, however, it seed like Rosemary was being standoffish—deliberately ignoring her grandfather.

"Oh, so that’s the case. Well, accept it now." Bernard leaned over eagerly. "There it is! Is this your profile picture? This silhouette is beautiful."

Rosemary’s profile picture was a black silhouette—no distinct features, but the elegant outline was unmistakably hers.

"I also think Rose’s figure is incredible. I’ve gained weight since I’ve been ho!" Jennifer patted her own face.

"Where did you gain weight? I’ve been bedridden for months—I’m the one who’s gained weight. Look at my belly—oh, I can’t even compare." Cornelia patted her stomach ruefully.

"Actually, losing belly fat isn’t too hard. Once you’re able to walk, I’ll take you to yoga!" Jennifer said enthusiastically.

"Really? But the poses look so difficult—I’m afraid I’ll hurt my back."

"Don’t worry, there are personal trainers. They’ll adjust based on our age and condition."

"Then let’s make plans for next ti!"

"Sure!"

After Rosemary accepted Bernard’s friend request, he slowly typed, wanting to assign her a nickna.

"Let do it." Rosemary laughed and took his phone.

"Nickna ’Rose.’"

"Okay."

"Can you pin at the top? That way, I’ll find you easily."

"Sure."

As Rosemary set the nickna and pinned herself, she patiently explained how it worked.

Serena, sitting forgotten in the corner, couldn’t take it anymore. She pushed open the balcony door and stepped outside for air.

Cornelia began adding Rosemary too, setting a nickna and pinning her.

Jennifer laughed. "I’ve had Rose pinned for ages—look!"
