He’s a real looker, handso as hell, and the ladies in the office can’t help but gawk. He’s really hot! When did they get such a stud in school? He looked so young.
Rosemary was the first to recognize him. Was it the sa guy who invited her to join the Ministry of State Security last night? What a coincidence!
Noreen struggled to shout out a na: "Chasel?"
She’d seen him a few tis at big gatherings before and was totally smitten by his charm. Technically, she should be calling him ’big brother’ due to their age difference.
Belinda also recognized him and asked gently, "Is that you, Chasel? What brings you here?"
Looking behind him, there were several young n with distinguished deanors, each radiating a sense of justice. Rumor has it Chasel works in so high-ranking departnt of the governnt, but no one knew his exact position or rank. But apparently, even the mayor listened to him, so his rank must be pretty high.
Chasel didn’t recognize the mother and daughter in front of him. At this mont, Belinda spoke: "In recent years, our families have been in contact more frequently."
Chasel quickly clarified, "I’ve been away from ho a lot these years, so I’m not quite familiar with what’s been going on. I ca today because of the incident with Ms. Enid."
Hearing this, Noreen’s friends grew even more excited. Another helper had arrived! Let’s see what Rosemary can do now!
Knowing that Chasel was standing up for her daughter, Belinda was over the moon. Could it be that Chasel had taken a liking to her precious girl? This was fantastic! The Collins family was the richest in the country! Even the flowers in their garden are worth tens of thousands of dollars each.
Seeing Belinda so happy, the director knew this man was not ordinary. Was he here to help Noreen? So he turned to Rosemary and said, "Aren’t you going to apologize?"
Rosemary smirked, "You’re asking the wrong person. They should be the ones apologizing."
"Fine! Stubborn!" The director asked the others to wait a bit while he went to the counselor’s office next door to get student files. He called the parents of Rosemary, Joyce, and Mya but didn’t call Kelly’s parents.
After making the calls, he ca back with a smug look on his face. "Belinda, their parents are on their way. They’ll apologize to you and Ms. Enid in person."
Belinda was all smiles and wanted to sit down and have a good chat with Chasel. Chasel, however, remained standing, sowhat unhappy with the director’s approach.
"Director, Belinda, as far as I know, it was Ms. Enid who started it. If she hadn’t drugged soone’s water bottle and then ganged up on them, there wouldn’t have been a fight."
Belinda’s face changed. Was Chasel here to defend Rosemary? Did they know each other?
At this point, Noreen was taken aback. A na suddenly flashed through her mind: Rosemary Collins! Could Rosemary and Chasel be from the sa family? Were they siblings?
She instinctively grabbed her mother’s hand, but Belinda didn’t understand where her fear was coming from. Out of instinct, Belinda asked, "What do you an, Chasel?"
"Drugging a classmate’s drink. Do you really think Ms. Enid shouldn’t be the first to apologize for such a despicable act, Belinda?"
Just listen to the way he’s defending her! Noreen’s unease grew. Did they really know each other? But Rosemary’s face didn’t give anything away as to whether she knew Chasel or not.
Then a slender figure walked into the office. "It’s quite the party in here, huh?"
Everyone turned at the sound of the voice. It was Roo!
Both Joyce and Mya knew that Roo was Rosemary’s fiancé and breathed a sigh of relief. It was clear as day that Roo had co to stand up for Rosemary.
But Belinda was in the dark about this. She thought Roo was here because of the incident. Their families were always on good terms, and her father-in-law had saved Roo’s father years ago. So it made sense that Roo would step in when he heard that Noreen was being bullied.
With this in mind, Belinda stood up imdiately and addressed him in an unusually friendly manner. "Roo, what brings you here?"
"I heard soone’s been picking on my people."
Everyone was shocked at his words! Belinda was both shocked and thrilled. It sounded like Roo had taken a liking to her precious daughter and was here to defend her.
Noreen also figured that Rosemary couldn’t possibly know a big shot like Roo. So she blushed and lowered her head, as if to say, *Don’t make such a fuss!*
The director, surprised to see Roo, rushed forward to bow deeply, saying, "Mr. McMillan, I’m truly sorry that this trivial matter has brought you here. It’s all her fault! She kicked Ms. Enid, causing her to vomit blood."
"Did you hurt your foot?" Roo pulled Rosemary into his arms and asked, "Did you twist your foot kicking soone so fat? Let others deal with things like this next ti, don’t hurt yourself."
Everyone was dumbstruck. Did he pull the wrong person? Just listen to his doting tone.
The director was also stunned for a mont before he stamred, "Mr. McMillan, Ms. Enid is over here."
By this ti, Noreen looked like she could stuff two eggs in her mouth. Her eyes seed to say, *Was he sure he didn’t grab the wrong person? She was right here!*
"Do you think I’d mistake my own fiancée?" Roo raised his eyelids and put pressure on the director: "President Barton promised personally that they’d take care of my fiancée. Is this how you do it?"
Fiancée! Rosemary was Roo’s fiancée! Everyone in the office was dumbfounded, except for Mya and her gang.
Wasn’t Roo’s fiancée Serena? How did it beco Rosemary, a relatively unknown figure?
Chasel’s entire body was burning with anger. What was Roo talking about? Everyone knew that the McMillan family and the Collins family were engaged, and he and Serena were definitely going to get married! But now he was publicly declaring that Rosemary was his fiancée. What about Serena? Where was he putting Serena? Did he know that Serena was a fake heiress and decided not to marry her? What was Serena’s reaction? Did she agree?
Chasel’s subordinates were also shocked: "Oh my God, what’s going on? The minister is still here, and the future brother-in-law is having an affair?"
At that mont, an urgent voice reached everyone’s ears. "Who’s bullying who?"
Everyone turned again, and it was Louisa. She was the wife of the country’s richest man! Kenneth Collins, her husband, was with her! The two of them had obviously walked briskly to get here and were a little out of breath.
Seeing that even Louisa had arrived, Belinda was completely confused and asked instinctively, "Mrs. Collins, what brings you here?"
"I heard my daughter is being bullied. Who did it?" Louisa scanned the room and suddenly noticed her son. "What are you doing here?"
