"Your dad’s quite chuffed with ."
"What the hell are you on about?" David Collins was incredulous. "How could my dad possibly agree? Right, Rose?"
"He’s telling the truth."
David was shocked "Dad really agreed?"
He thought to himself, "Is he really my biological father? Rose’s just a kid! How could dad even think that? How could he be so careless?"
"My brother was back in town a while ago. You didn’t get a thrashing from him, did you? I gonna tell that to my big brother, so he could co back and give you a good beating" David threatened him with his brother.
"My brother approved too, he even invited for a al next ti."
"No way!"
His brother was such a hard nut to crack. How could he possibly agree to let so random guy be with Rose?
They hadn’t seen each other for just a few days, and this guy’s lying skills were through the roof!
"I don’t have ti for this nonsense." Roo checked his watch, then looked tenderly at Rosemary.
"Rose, let’s go."
As Rosemary was about to go, David grabbed her. "Rose, you’re not going anywhere with him today. I’m taking you shopping!"
He refused to believe that Rose would choose this guy over her own brother!
But the next second, Rosemary said, "I already promised Roo; can we go shopping another ti?"
"You, promised him?" David hadn’t expected Rosemary to have accepted Roo’s invitation. "Even if you did promise, you can cancel it! ignore him! I finally have two days off; do you really want to leave at ho to be nagged by mom?"
Roo glanced at his hand. "Let go."
"You let go first!"
"I’m taking Rose to dinner."
"I don’t care; Rose’s not going anywhere with you today!" David held on tightly to Rosemary’s hand.
Watching from the shadows, Serena was about to explode with anger!
She couldn’t believe David and Roo were fighting over Rosemary!
What on earth did Rosemary have that was so great?
"Rose, who do you want to go with?" Roo held on to Rosemary’s hand. He sounded like he was asking for her opinion, but his pleading, lingering eyes seed to say, "You haven’t been with for so long! You promised to be with today!"
Rosemary was a bit helpless. "David, I promised him first. I’ll go shopping with you next ti."
"No." David’s heart broke, but he still held on to Rosemary’s hand. "Where are you guys going? Can I co too? I can carry your bags?"
He could also keep an eye on this guy for any outrageous behavior!
If there was, he definitely wouldn’t let it slide!
Rosemary looked at David’s handso face. It was so eye–catching. If she took him along, she would definitely attract a lot of attention!
She had experienced firsthand how famous he was at the airport that day.
"I can wear a hat! Sunglasses! A mask! I can wrap myself up like a mummy! I guarantee no one will recognize !"
Rosemary said lightly, "Next ti."
It was dayti now, and David would easily be recognized, but not at night.
"Rose, are you really going to leave behind?"
David felt like his heart was being ripped out. He hadn’t expected Rosemary to be so easily swayed by this bad guy! She was even going to go with him!
What on earth had this bad guy done?
Seeing Roo open the car door for Rosemary, David couldn’t help but warn him, "I’m telling you, you can date! But if you dare to do anything inappropriate, cross any boundaries, or do anything
outrageous, Rosemary’s five brothers won’t let you off the hook!"
"I’ll respect Rose’s wishes"
"Respect? If Rose agrees, do you think you can take it a step further? Watch it, buddy! David warned, swinging his fist. "If Rose gets hurt in any way, I’ll move mountains to set things right for her!"
"Don’t you know yet? Roo smirked with a devilish grin on his face. "I may not be Mr. Nice Guy, but I’m not a man without standards or principles. Rest assured, I’ll wait until Rose is my wife"
"That day’s never coming"" David retorted.
"Let’s wait and see"
As Roo got into the car, David rushed up to the window to speak to Rose. "Rose, if this guy gives you any trouble, call straight away. I’ll handle him myself. And get ho early! If you run into any
trouble or anything you can’t handle, I’ve got your back."
"Don’t worry, David"
Seeing Roo’s smug smile, David felt uneasy. He could only watch helplessly as the car drove away, feeling utterly dejected.
"David, what are you doing here?"
A voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Oh, Serena." David glanced at Serena, then couldn’t help looking back in the direction Rose had left.
The car was long gone. He then turned his attention back to Serena. "You’re up early today."
"David, you’re up early too. It’s your day off; why didn’t you sleep in?"
"I couldn’t sleep."
David had planned to take Rose shopping and spoil her a bit today to make up for lost ti.
But Roo had ruined everything!
The thought of his little sister having a boyfriend so soon and spending less and less ti at ho made David feel downright miserable.
"David, do you have so free ti today? We could hang out. It’s been a while since we’ve done sothing together."
She had overheard David talking about taking Rose shopping. If she could go out with David and maybe have a photographer snap a shot of them together, She’d be the talk of the town!
Everyone would know she was David’s favorite little sister.
She could also buy loads of stuff and have David pick up the tab!
But David replied listlessly, "Maybe next ti."
He had to stay ho in case Rose needed him.
Serena’s smile froze, and she forced herself to stay calm. "David, do you have other plans?"
"Yeah." David answered offhandedly, lightly patting her on the shoulder. "You go have fun by yourself today."
Serena’s face darkened!
Roo drove Rose to a romantic restaurant with a floral the and led her by the hand into a private room.
