Rosemary handed over the dicine, saying, "Here’s a three–day supply. Take it twice a day, so that’s six packs in total." So patients needed to be fed through a nasal feeding tube, but Shirley can
swallow, so she can drink liquid food.
Roo didn’t expect her to be ready so quickly; he touched her face with concern and asked, "Didn’t you take a break when you got ho?"
"I’m alright; I slept a lot on the plane," Rosemary said casually. "I have things to do; I gotta bounce."
"What else do you need to do?" Roo didn’t want to let go of her. "I can help."
Rosemary wanted to say he couldn’t help, but she was afraid he would follow her secretly, so she could only say, "It’s nothing big, just so stuff for work." "You’re dealing with work as soon as you got back?" Roo grew even more worried; he touched her face again and said, "Let give you a lift then."
"It’s cool; I’ll drive myself." Rosemary glanced at the ti and reminded him in a calm voice, "Don’t forget to give Granny her ds."
"Alright." Roo accompanied her to the car, giving her a word of caution; "Drive safe; call if anything cos up; don’t try to shoulder everything alone." "I got it."
Roo watched as she sped off, impressed by her competence and versatility.
Girls her age were usually still studying, but she was already a skilled driver with her own career.
Derek watched Rosemary drive away and couldn’t help but ask, "Sir, should we have soone check the dicine Ms. Rose prepared for Shirley? Was it prescribed by a doctor?"
It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Ms. Rose, but no doctor had been able to find a cure for Shirley’s illness over these years.
Even Jas Newton was helpless.
Now that the old lady was on her deathbed, they had to be extrely cautious with her dication.
Derek was worried that, because of her young age, Ms. Rose could have been tricked into buying counterfeit drugs without realizing it.
"No one’s ds work better than hers."
Upon hearing Roo’s high praise, Derek was stunned. "Did Ms. Rose prescribe the dicine herself?"
She’s just a kid!
And she’s already preparing dications?
Although he knew that Ms. Rose had saved the old man twice and had so dical knowledge, many famous doctors were at a loss for Shirley’s condition. Could Ms. Rose’s dicine really save Shirley now that she’s at death’s door?
Wouldn’t that make her even better than those famous doctors?
"Get the car ready." Roo was going to make a trip to Fairfield Manor, "I’ll take it to Granny."
Derek didn’t expect the master to trust Ms. Rose so much.
"Sir, then why did you ask Dr. Bell to treat Shirley?"
Ms. Rose had already provided the dicine.
If Ms. Rose’s dicine could turn the tide, there would be no need for Dr. Bell.
"I went through all the trouble to find him to see if he had a way to turn Granny from a vegetable back into a normal person."
Rosemary’s dicine can only save Granny’s life for the ti being.
Whether she can beco a normal person again depended on what Dr. Bell said.
"For the sake of caution, they specialize in different areas."
Derek understood this logic, so he bowed respectfully and said, "I’ll prepare the car right away."
At her age, Rosemary’s ability to keep Shirley alive was testant to her dical expertise.
However, to bring a vegetable back to a normal state, only experienced doctors like Dr. Bell can do it."
"Sir, I’ll go with you. I haven’t seen Phillip and Shirley in a long ti."
"Alright." Roo agreed.
Rosemary pulled to a stop at the red light, whipping out her phone.
[Boss, here’s the photo they sent. You’ve got to see if it’s legit.]
Rosemary clicked open the photo and squinted. Yup, it was indeed glycyrrhiza and the root of a purple lotus.
Whether it was the shape, colour, texture, or even the root part, she could confirm that these two things were the real deal.
"Send the location."
Boss, are they really legit? Damn, they’re good. They found these two things so fast when we spent three goddamn months looking for them! We were worried they might try to con us with fakes]
It’s actually real!
They want you to et them at a small house in Peach Valley, out in the boonies.]
Rosemary shot back an OK. The light turned green, and she pressed down on the gas, heading to the eting spot.
To avoid drawing attention, she parked her car in a secluded spot in Peach Valley and headed toward the small house.
Before long, a car with no plates pulled up in front of her
A dude in a suit stepped out. He paused when he saw Rosemary and asked, "Are you Dr. Bell’s daughter or apprentice? We were supposed to be eting Dr. Bell!" "I’m Dr. Bell."
"You?" The suit guy stared at her for a good three seconds before saying, "Listen, little girl, you know what happens when you lie, right? You could get into trouble... I suggest you tell the truth. If Dr. Bell
can’t make it, we can reschedule.
"I am Dr. Bell." Rosemary’s vibe was frosty as she said expressionlessly, "I guarantee it."
The suit guy paused again for another three seconds, then opened the car door, saying respectfully,
"Sorry for the misunderstanding, Dr. Bell. Please forgive my rudeness."
Although he was struggling to accept that Dr. Bell was a young woman,
Either way, he decided to get her back to their place first.
Rosemary didn’t hold a grudge, climbing into the back seat and accepting an item he handed over.
"By agreent, you must wear this blindfold until we reach the patient’s location."
Rosemary knew they didn’t want her to rember the route. But what they didn’t know was that she had an impeccable sense of direction since childhood. Even blindfolded, she could map out a clear
route in her head.
But she didn’t let him in on this and obediently put on the blindfold, looking perfectly at ease.
Only then did the suit guy start the car, taking the scenic route.
This ti, the patient’s age, gender, identity, condition, and even location were all kept under wraps.
But Rosemary ca because of the glycyrrhiza and the root of purple lotus, as they could enhance acetylcholine levels in the brain, working with other precious herbs to help treat Alzheir’s disease.
The driver took a long detour and finally pulled over at a spot.
"Dr. Bell, we’ve arrived. You can remove the blindfold now."
Rosemary had sensed a familiar feeling about this place earlier. Now, a familiar scent of flowers filled her nostrils.
When she took off the blindfold, she realized she knew the villa in front of her well.
Although the driver had taken her through the back door, Rosemary quickly recognized that this was Fairfield Manor.
This was Fairfield Manor!
Could the person who invited her to see a patient be Roo?
Could the patient be Shirley?
