Assistant Quinn stared at his phone, his fingers trembling slightly as he refreshed the page again and again, but the shocking news remained unchanged. His face turned pale as he struggled to process what he was seeing.

He was currently in his boss’s private apartnt, having been called to deliver important docunts. His mind was racing, unable to focus on the task at hand.

"What’s wrong?" ca a deep, lazy, yet mysteriously dangerous voice from behind him.

Quinn jumped slightly and turned around, eting the piercing gaze of Sebastian Gray. The man tall fra relaxed, yet every inch of him radiated power and sophistication.

Sebastian was dressed in an effortlessly stylish outfit, a crisp, fitted black button-up shirt left casually untucked, with the top two buttons undone, revealing just a hint of his well-toned chest. Paired with tailored dark grey lounge pants that emphasized his long legs and expensive black leather slippers, he exuded a casual elegance that only soone of his stature could pull off.

"No... nothing, sir," Quinn stamred, quickly locking his phone and clutching the docunts tightly in his hands.

Sebastian arched a brow, his sharp eyes narrowing slightly. "Quinn," he said, his tone low but firm, "you’re a terrible liar."

The assistant gulped, feeling a bead of sweat forming on his temple as Sebastian crossed the room, his movents slow and deliberate, like a predator sizing up its prey.

"Sir, sir... Miss Lilith is getting engaged to Ryan Brooks tonight... at 7 PM," Quinn blurted, his voice shaky as he handed his phone to Sebastian.

Sebastian’s face hardened instantly, his usual expression replaced by a cold and icy expression.

"Look at this..." Quinn added hesitantly, showing him a photo circulating online.

The image featured Lilith standing beside Ryan. She was smiling, though it appeared faint and polite, while Ryan was looking away. However, the angle made it seem as though Lilith was looking at him affectionately, a narrative the dia was quick to latch onto.

Sebastian snatched the phone from Quinn’s hands, his jaw clenched tightly as he scrutinized the image. His dark eyes narrowed, and an unmistakable storm of emotion brewed within them.

"Ugly," he muttered coldly, his voice low yet filled with disdain. The word wasn’t directed at Lilith.

The crease on his forehead and the slight tic in his jaw made it clear his frustration was directed at Rayan.

He stared at the picture a mont longer, a hint of sothing dangerous flashing in his eyes. For a second, he thought: If I were in the photo with her, it wouldn’t look this pathetic.

"Quinn," Sebastian muttered, his voice now calr, though it carried a weight that made the assistant shiver. He glanced up, eting Quinn’s nervous gaze with a sharp, focused intensity.

"Yes, sir?" Quinn asked, his grip tightening on the docunts he still held.

Sebastian’s eyes darkened further, shadows seemingly swirling in their depths as he took a step forward. His hands clenched tightly by his sides, the veins on the back of his hands prominent.

"You have to do sothing," Sebastian said, his voice low, as if he were holding back a storm. His lips curled into a dark smirk, but his tone carried no amusent.

Quinn gulped, his heart pounding as he awaited the instructions he knew were coming. Whatever his boss was planning, it wasn’t going to be anything simple.

Lilith smirked as she thought about the event. This so-called engagent might not have her permission, but it certainly offered her a new way to make money and, more importantly, have so fun. She could already imagine the chaos she was about to unleash.

"Let them think they’ve won," she muttered to herself, her piercing blue eyes gleaming with amusent.

There was a knock on the door, and Lilith lazily stood up, stretching her arms. She opened the door.

she found a two woman standing there, one holding a professional makeup kit, looking slightly hesitant and another one holding a garnt bag. Both of them seed professional, but their slightly nervous smiles betrayed their unease.

"Miss Lilith?" one of them asked hesitantly.

Lilith nodded, her piercing blue eyes scanning them with a calm, unreadable expression. "You’re here for the engagent preparations, I assu."

"Yes, ma’am. Mrs. Brooks sent us. We brought your dress too," the one holding the garnt bag replied, holding it up.

Lilith raised an eyebrow, her lips curling into a faint smirk. "Co in."

She stepped aside, allowing them to enter. The artists exchanged a glance, slightly intimidated by her aura, before stepping inside cautiously.

"Where’s your room, Miss Lilith? We’ll need to set up the dress and start the preparations," the second artist said, trying to keep a professional tone.

Lilith pointed toward the hallway. "That way."

The two artists headed toward the room, but as soon as they entered, they froze in their tracks. Their eyes widened in shock as they spotted a skeleton propped up on a bed, positioned as if it were casually lounging.

"Uh... is that...?" one of them stamred, clutching the garnt bag a little tighter.

Lilith leaned against the doorway, crossing her arms as she observed their reactions with amusent. "et my buddy," she said nonchalantly, as if introducing an old friend.

The first artist swallowed hard, trying to compose herself. "It’s... very unique decor, Miss Lilith."

"Isn’t it?" Lilith replied with a sly smile. "Now, shall we get started, or are you too distracted by my buddy?"

The two artists quickly snapped out of their daze, shaking their heads. "No, no! We’ll get started right away!" one of them assured, setting down her kit and getting to work, though they couldn’t help but steal occasional nervous glances at the skeleton.

Lilith sat down on the edge of the bed, her smirk deepening. This was already shaping up to be an amusing evening.

"Miss Lilith, you should wash your face first, and then we’ll start the makeup," one of the artists said politely, though her voice carried a slight tremor.

Lilith tilted her head toward the artist, her eyes glinting mischievously as she flashed a slow, crepey smile. "Sure..." she drawled, her voice soft yet laced with an edge. Then, leaning forward slightly, she added, "But make sure you don’t try to run."

The words were calm, but sothing about her tone sent a shiver down their spines. Both artists instinctively rubbed their arms as goosebumps prickled their skin.

"R-run?" one of them stamred, trying to laugh it off nervously.

Lilith’s smile widened, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Just a joke," she said, straightening up and walking toward the bathroom. Her movents were graceful, almost predatory, as if she were savoring their discomfort.

The two artists exchanged uneasy glances, clearly regretting ever taking this job. "She’s... unique," one of them whispered, trying to steady her breathing.

"Just focus on the work," the other replied, but her voice cracked slightly as she glanced at the skeleton in the bed.

Lilith, from behind the bathroom door, chuckled quietly to herself. These humans were just too easy to ss with.

Lilith washed her face leisurely, the cool water refreshing her skin as she took her ti. Once done, she grabbed a soft towel, patting her face dry with delicate movents. Her reflection in the mirror was as flawless as ever, her piercing blue eyes glinting with mild amusent at the situation.

Walking to her vanity table, she gracefully took a seat on the plush stool, crossing her legs casually. The makeup artists quickly approached her, one of them gently placing a soft headband over her head to keep her hair out of the way.

As they began their work, one of the artists couldn’t help but pause, her brush frozen mid-air. "Miss Lilith, your skin... it’s absolutely stunning," she said in awe.

The other nodded, leaning in closer to inspect her face. "It’s like porcelain. You must have an incredible skincare routine."

Lilith smirked slightly, her lips curving into a mischievous smile. "I do take care of myself," she replied nonchalantly, though the amusent in her tone.

The artists exchanged impressed glances, their professionalism barely masking their envy. As their brushes moved skillfully across her face, they marveled at how her skin seed to glow naturally, requiring only the barest amount of foundation to enhance her already perfect complexion.

"You have no pores at all," one muttered under her breath, clearly baffled.

Lilith, hearing this, chuckled softly. "Good genes," she quipped, her tone making them question if that was the whole truth.

The room fell into a quiet rhythm as they worked.

As the makeup artists worked their magic, the transformation was nothing short of unreal. They started with a flawless base, using a lightweight foundation that blended seamlessly into Lilith’s skin, creating a porcelain-like glow. They applied just the right amount of concealer, covering any imperfections, leaving her skin looking impossibly smooth and radiant.

Her eyes were enhanced with soft, shimring eyeshadows in shades of gold and bronze, making her blue eyes appear even more striking. Long, fluttering lashes were added, giving her a doll-like gaze. A thin line of eyeliner accentuated the shape of her eyes, and a touch of highlighter on her cheekbones added a subtle glow.

Her lips were painted in a delicate pink shade, soft and inviting, with a hint of gloss to make them look fuller. The makeup was so perfectly done that it made Lilith appear like an ethereal Beauty.

It was as if she were a living painting, every feature enhanced to perfection.
