Without a word, she curled her finger at him, motioning for him to co closer, subtle, sharp, and hidden from the crew’s eyes.

Jackson’s eyes lit up instantly.

His whole face brightened as he straightened his jacket, smoothed his hair, and walked toward her quickly like a puppy being called. His heart was practically jumping in his chest. Is she... is she finally into ??

Lilith pulled him behind a lighting curtain, making sure no one saw them.

Jackson gave her a smile. "So... you called ?"

He straightened up, excitent all over his face. she’s really—

Thud.

Her fist slamd into his stomach, not too hard but enough to knock the air out of him. Jackson doubled slightly, eyes wide in shock.

Before he could say a word, Lilith leaned in, her voice low and sharp.

"Dare to wink at again," she said without blinking, "and I won’t think you’re an actor—I’ll punch your face on cara."

She stepped back, adjusted her sleeve like nothing happened, and walked away without looking back.

Jackson stood frozen.

Still holding his stomach, still confused.

Then a small smile curled on his lips.

"Well..." he muttered to himself, eyes sparkling with new interest, "that’s hot."

Lilith walked out, expression cold and unreadable like always. Her heels clicked sharply against the floor, and the air around her seed to turn a few degrees colder. She didn’t speak, didn’t smile, just walked with that silent, dangerous grace she was known for.

Behind her, Jackson followed, still holding his stomach, still smiling like a fool who just got blessed with a punch from a goddess. He was clearly enjoying himself too much.

Everyone on set turned to look.

So crew mbers paused, eyes darting between the two of them. Whispers started. The director’s assistant dropped her clipboard.

Lilith ignored it all.

Until—

"What’s going on here?"

That voice.

She stopped.

Her cold eyes slowly shifted to the right, locking onto the source of the voice.

Standing near the monitor area, arms crossed, was Alexander.

Her human doll.

He looked like he’d stepped out of a magazine shoot, flawless black shirt, sleeves rolled up just enough, blazer off, and those sharp, fire-lit eyes that were now focused entirely on her.

He wasn’t smiling.

In fact, he looked like he could burn the entire set down just with that one stare. And then his eyes moved slowly to the man standing behind her.

Jackson.

Lilith blinked slowly, lips tightening. This... wasn’t good.

Before she could speak, Director PJ rushed over with a bright grin, completely unaware of the dangerous energy swirling around.

"Oh, Lilith! This is Sebastian Carter," he said cheerfully. "He’s the investor I told you about. He’s funding the entire project!"

Lilith narrowed her eyes at him, a flicker of disbelief in her gaze.

Investor? Since when?

Alexander’s expression didn’t soften. He just kept watching her. There was sothing different in his eyes, not the usual cold calculation, but sothing unreadable. Sothing dangerous.

And then Lilith noticed it.

A group of female staff nearby, whispering, giggling, their eyes sparkling as they stared at Alexander.

"He’s sooo handso..."

"Is he single??"

"I’d die just to get coffee with him once..."

Lilith’s eyes slowly turned toward them, expression still blank.

That... doesn’t sound good at all.

The director, still smiling brightly like he had no idea what silent war was about to begin, gestured toward Alexander. "Lilith, co greet him. He just arrived in response to our request to see the set."

Lilith blinked once, then took a slow breath. She adjusted the hem of her white dress and stepped forward with quiet elegance.

The dress hugged her curves perfectly, the soft fabric outlining every sharp grace of her body. Her long hair was loose, curled in soft waves that frad her face like silk. And her eyes—sharp and beautifull.

She lowered her gaze just a little, letting her lashes veil her smirk as she walked toward him, every step confident and deliberate.

Then she looked up—directly at him.

"Hello, Mr. Carter," she said, her voice dipped in sweetness, yet laced with sothing dangerous.

Alexander’s eyes stayed on her, unreadable. His jaw was tight, but his face didn’t shift.

And then, in his deep voice–cold and formal, he asked, "And you are?"

Lilith’s smile deepened.

She took another step closer and extended her hand slowly.

"I am Lilith Parker, sir," she said, pressing the word sir with velvet authority, her tone polite but sharp. "You may have heard of ."

Alexander’s eyes narrowed just slightly.

He took her hand and didn’t let go. His grip was firm...too firm. His fingers wrapped around hers with quiet dominance, and he held it just a little longer than necessary. Long enough for the crew to start glancing.

Lilith didn’t pull away. She held his gaze, smile still soft, but her eyes had already begun to burn brighter.

Sothing unspoken crackled in the air.

A match had been struck.

Lilith slowly pulled her hand back from his grip, calm and steady. Her expression didn’t change, but her fingers tingled from the pressure. Alexander’s eyes followed the movent, but he said nothing–only watched.

"Alright!" Director PJ clapped his hands once. "Mr. Carter will be observing today’s shoot, so let’s give him sothing worth investing in."

Lilith didn’t look at Alexander again. Not yet.

"Lilith, Jackson—get ready for the next scene," the director called out.

Within seconds, the makeup artist rushed in with a brush, gently patting Lilith’s cheeks, fixing her lipstick, adding a hint of glow under her eyes. Another artist touched up Jackson’s collar and powdered his nose. He flinched a little but grinned anyway.

"Take position!" the director shouted over the buzz of the crew.

Jackson gave a lazy thumbs up, then glanced at Lilith. "Ready?"

Lilith nodded once, calm and composed.

Both of them walked to their marks and took position under the soft lighting, standing face to face.

A script assistant quickly handed them the script sheets. Jackson gave his a quick glance and exhaled.

"Okay..." he muttered under his breath.

Lilith held hers lightly, scanning the lines with her usual emotionless face. But in her mind, she could feel two sets of eyes on her—one full of clueless excitent from her co-star.

And one...

Like fire.

Burning into her from across the set.

Alexander.

The scene hadn’t started yet, but the real performance already had.
