Lia laughed breathily, brushing his worry off with ease. "It’s okay, Ray. I just twisted my ankle a little. I was walking out of the studio to get better network coverage to talk to you. Silly , right?"

She sounded sweet. Soft. Innocent.

And then she added, like an afterthought, "Oh... and I’m really sorry I missed the date you planned tonight. I forgot completely. You don’t mind, right?" Her voice dropped into a pouty tone, the kind that always made him lt.

Rayan closed his eyes and sighed. "Alright. Just... take care. Okay?" He ended the call with a quiet beep and placed the phone back on the table.

He didn’t notice the silence behind her line.

Or the lack of background noise that should’ve co from a busy shoot.

He didn’t hear the whisper of a man’s voice just as the call ended, or the shuffle of a jacket being pulled over bare skin.

Because on the other side of the city, Lia wasn’t limping from any twisted ankle.

She was half-laughing as she leaned back against her co-actor’s chest, his arms wrapped around her waist, his fingers playing with the ends of her curls. He was rich. Famous. The kind of man who made everyone look when he walked into a room. And to Lia, he wasn’t just attractive—he was magnetic.

Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she pressed a kiss to his jaw, whispering, "He still thinks I’m shooting."

The man chuckled. "Isn’t he the one who thinks you’re pregnant with his child?"

Lia giggled, pulling the blanket over their legs as she took a sip from her wine glass. "He’s rich and obedient. I needed security. Hahahahah."

The man raised a brow. "And what about your previous lover—the director? Did he let you go easily?"

"Oh," she said with a shrug, "I threatened him last week. Told him I had photos of his affair with that actress. If he didn’t let go, I’d send them to his wife." She smirked.

The man laughed again, tipping her chin up. "You’re dangerous."

She smiled sweetly, her lips brushing against his. "Only when I’m bored."

And right now...

Rayan was boring her to death.

**

Lia now rested her head on soft pillow as she sat in bed beside her co-actor after another intense activity, the expensive wine glass in her hand as she stared at nothing in particular. Even though he was speaking sothing about his upcoming shoot, her thoughts weren’t with him. Her heart was sowhere else. Sowhere far behind. Sowhere near Lilith.

She still rembered those days... how Lilith used to walk beside Rayan with her calm face, saying nothing but still sohow capturing all attention. That girl never needed to fight for spotlight. It just followed her. And maybe... that’s why Lia had always hated it. She used to smile with her, act close, act sweet... but inside she couldn’t stop feeling sothing heavy in her chest every ti Rayan looked at Lilith with that light softness in his eyes. It wasn’t because she loved him. No. Lia liked his money, his branded suits, and clean handso face. But most importantly—she liked how Lilith looked heartbroken when Rayan chose her.

That expression, hidden behind Lilith’s cold silence, gave Lia strange satisfaction. Like she won. And now, seeing Lilith with another man, her heart was again restless. Not because she missed Rayan but because Lilith seed fine. Still graceful. Still beautiful. And now holding the attention of a man who clearly looked rich. Who dressed even better than Rayan. A new man... and not an ordinary one.

Lia had seen that hospital photo her nurse friend sent her. Lilith was wearing a expensive dress, her hair tied neatly, her heels sharp. And beside her walked a tall man with a powerful aura. Extraordinary Handso. Wealthy. Sharp. And still his eyes were on Lilith like he couldn’t look anywhere else. That image stayed in Lia’s mind all day.

Why do n always fall for her?

It wasn’t fair.

Lia sipped her wine again, staring at the ceiling.

Lilith wasn’t sweet or flirty like other girls. But still guys fell for her. One by one. Like moths to a silent fla. It was always the sa. They admired her calmness. Her gergeous smile. Her deep eyes. And in the end... they would be kneeling just for one word of affection from her, Lia.

Even her co-actor, the one lying beside her now, had fallen.

He had a girlfriend. A long relationship. Even talked about marrying her.

But now he was kissing Lia between scenes, holding her waist during late rehearsals, texting her under the table while sitting beside his real girlfriend.

He wasn’t serious yet. But Lia knew it was only a matter of ti before he break with his girlfriend for her.

It never mattered whether the man was married or single.

In the end...

They always chose her.

Suddenly, the phone beside her buzzed, lighting up with a soft vibration. Lia glanced down lazily and saw the na flashing on screen—"Babe" with a heart beside it. Her smile faded for a mont. It was his girlfriend. The sa girl who had posted cute couple photos with him just last week. The sa girl who wore matching bracelets with him during interviews. Lia turned to the man beside her, who was still talking and hadn’t noticed. But the mont the phone buzzed again, louder this ti, his body tensed. He looked at the screen and his smile dropped, guilt quickly covering his face.

"Ah... it’s her," he muttered, already sitting up. Lia stayed where she was, arms folded under the blanket, watching him with a blank expression.

He stood up, wore his shirt, then walked to the balcony to take the call. But not before turning back to her, mouthing a quiet "Don’t make a sound."

Lia’s lips curled into a smile—not soft, not warm. Just amused. Of course he was nervous. Of course he was scared of being caught. But she wasn’t. She had nothing to lose and sowhere deep in her mind... a thought whispered. If even this man left his girlfriend for , how long before Lilith’s boyfriend starts looking my way too?
