Lilith tilted her head, watching the three n who were now standing out in the open, their cold, expressionless faces betraying nothing.

But she knew.

She felt the way their muscles tensed under their uniforms.

They were trained to be strong but even trained soldiers had weaknesses.

And she?

She thrived on finding them.

She exhaled slowly, shifting her weight onto one foot. "Alright, boys, let’s play a ga."

The guards remained silent.

Lilith smirked. "I’ll give you five seconds to tell how many more of you are hiding in this forest. If you get it wrong, I’ll start running, and let’s see if you can catch ."

The guards visibly stiffened.

They weren’t allowed to reveal that information.

Lilith’s eyes glinted.

Gotcha.

Sir Sparkleton beeped beside her. "Miss Lilith, running is not advised! Physical exertion may lead to excessive sweating, dehydration, and muscle cramps!"

Lilith sighed dramatically. "Ugh, you’re right. Running isn’t my thing."

She turned to the robot, her voice dropping into sothing sweet, cunning.

"Sir Sparkleton, scan the area for life signatures. Tell how many people are currently within a one-mile radius of my location."

The guards’ eyes widened.

Sir Sparkleton paused for a mont, then whirred excitedly.

"Scanning... scanning... total count of life signatures detected: nineteen humans."

Lilith grinned, tilting her head at the guards.

"Oops. Looks like your little stealth trick is useless when I have my tin can. Tell , how does it feel to lose to a girl and a walking toaster?"

One of the n gritted his teeth but didn’t say a word.

"Oh, you poor things," Lilith cooed. "Does your boss know you’re this easy to outmaneuver?"

Sir Sparkleton beeped proudly. "Miss Lilith is highly intelligent! Master Sebastian has chosen well!"

Lilith smirked. "See? Even your own sidekick agrees with ."

The tallest of the three guards, clearly the leader, sighed heavily, finally speaking.

"Miss Lilith, you are not allowed to leave the premises. Please return to the mansion."

Lilith tapped her chin thoughtfully.

"Sure, I’ll go back."

The guards exchanged glances, slightly surprised.

"...Really?" one of them asked suspiciously.

Lilith grinned. "Of course! But before I do, can you answer sothing for ?"

The leader narrowed his eyes. "What?"

Lilith pointed at Sir Sparkleton.

"Can you tell how to turn him off?"

The guards stared.

Sir Sparkleton whirred in distress. "Warning! Warning! Miss Lilith, attempting to shut down would be highly inappropriate and against Master Sebastian’s instructions!"

Lilith sighed dramatically. "See? He won’t stop following ! It’s like having an overly attached puppy, but without the cuteness."

She folded her arms. "Surely you must know a way to turn him off?"

One of the younger guards let out an exasperated breath.

"Yeah, you just have to press the—"

"STOP!" the leader barked, glaring at him.

But it was too late.

Lilith had already locked onto the mistake.

Her eyes glead.

"Oh?" She turned to Sir Sparkleton, casually lifting a finger and pressing the exact secret spot the guard almost revealed.

Click.

Sir Sparkleton jerked once, then froze completely.

The little tin can went silent.

The guards stared, horrified.

Lilith grinned. "Well, that was easy."

Before the n could react, she turned on her heel and bolted.

Straight for the hidden docks.

"Shit!" the leader cursed, lunging after her.

But Lilith was faster.

She had calculated their reaction ti perfectly, and now she was ten steps ahead.

Sir Sparkleton, their only direct surveillance tool, was down.

And now?

Now the real ga began.

Lilith disappeared into the shadows, her footsteps quick and calculated, leaving the guards behind in chaos.

"Find her!" the leader barked, frustration dripping from his voice.

But before they could even spread out, before they could even fully process that Lilith had actually escaped—

She ca back.

Casually.

As if she had never left.

The guards froze, staring at her in disbelief.

She was leaning against a tree, arms crossed, looking at them like they were the dumbest people she had ever t.

"You guys are so slow, it’s embarrassing," she sighed dramatically. "I almost feel bad."

The leader’s eye twitched. "How the hell did you—"

But before he could finish, Lilith moved.

With a quick, effortless lunge, she grabbed Sir Sparkleton from where he had fallen on the ground.

"Thank you for holding onto my gift, gentlen, but I’ll be taking this now," she chirped, hoisting the tiny robot under her arm.

The guards stared at her in sheer disbelief.

"Wait, you ca back... just to take the damn robot?!" one of them blurted.

Lilith sighed, shaking her head. "You guys don’t get it, do you?"

She patted Sir Sparkleton’s cold, tallic head.

"This thing is my Human Doll’s gift to ."

Her voice dropped slightly, sothing unreadable flickering in her piercing blue eyes.

"The only other gift I’ve received before this... was a buddy."

The guards blinked.

What the hell was wrong with her life?

Lilith rolled her eyes, clearly not in the mood to explain.

"Anyway, even if this dumb tin can is annoying as hell, a gift is a gift."

She tilted her head, a slow smirk curving her lips.

"And besides... who else is going to babysit properly if I don’t take him back?"

Before they could even react, she had already turned on her heel, walking away with Sir Sparkleton still cradled under her arm.

"Miss Lilith has retrieved ! Oh, what an emotional reunion!" Sir Sparkleton suddenly ca back to life, his system rebooting as his red eyes flickered on.

Lilith gritted her teeth. "Shut up before I throw you back."

The guards could only watch in sheer exhaustion, realizing that nothing about this woman could ever be predicted.

One of them muttered under his breath, "Boss is in deep trouble with this one."

And none of them could disagree.

Lilith had already morized the entire layout of the island with the small amount of power she had, and it didn’t take long for her to figure out where they had hidden the boat.

Without a mont’s hesitation, she launched into action.

Her fingers moved swiftly, untying the ropes that secured the small but powerful speedboat.

She barely had to look at the controls before turning the key, the engine roaring to life beneath her hands.

"Miss Lilith! This is not advised! Unauthorized use of Master Sebastian’s property is a violation of island protocol!" Sir Sparkleton’s robotic voice chid in from her lap.

Lilith grinned. "I’d be disappointed if it wasn’t."

And just like that...she hit the throttle.

The boat lurched forward, slicing through the dark waters, waves crashing in its wake.

The salty ocean air whipped through her hair, and for the first ti since she had been kidnapped...she felt free.

She turned her head slightly, watching the island grow smaller behind her.
