"Don’t try to escape this place." Darkness’s voice was low and sexy, his tall fra blocking the door behind him. "I’m doing this for your own good. Alright?"
Lilith stood just a few steps away, her arms crossed, her gaze sharp and firm.
She tilted her chin slightly, her expression one of pure defiance. "I don’t need your protection."
Darkness let out a slow exhale, his dark eyes watching her carefully.
Lilith’s fingers twitched at her sides. She hated this.
Hated the idea of being caged.
Hated the way he acted like he had the right to control her.
Darkness hesitated for a brief mont. Then, before she could move, he did sothing completely unexpected.
He reached out and rubbed her head.
Lilith froze.
Her entire body went stiff, her brain struggling to process the sheer audacity of what had just happened.
She slowly...dangerously lifted her gaze to et his.
Darkness, completely unfazed by the murderous look in her eyes, smirked.
"Be a good girl, Lilith," he murmured, his voice dropping lower as he leaned in.
Before she could react, his lips brushed against her ear, feather-light.
"Be good... and you will be rewarded," he whispered.
Then his teeth caught her earlobe, biting down ever so lightly.
Lilith’s entire body tensed.
A sharp, involuntary shiver ran through her spine.
Her breath hitched for a fraction of a second before she realized—
This doll.... just ..just bit her.
Her fingers curled into fists.
She inhaled deeply, her anger simring like a volcano on the verge of eruption.
And then without warning—
She swung her fist straight at his face.
Darkness barely dodged in ti, laughter spilling from his lips as he stepped back, his hands raised in surrender.
"Tsk, tsk, sweetheart." His smirk only widened, his gaze glinting with dark amusent. "You can’t bla for wanting to tease you. You make it too easy."
Lilith’s breathing was slow, controlled but the murderous intent in her eyes was very, very real.
"I swear, Human Doll..." she muttered, her voice terrifyingly calm.
Darkness arched an eyebrow, clearly entertained.
"What? You’ll punish ?" he teased, his voice mockingly hopeful. "I’d love to see you try, darling."
Lilith took a step forward.
Darkness took a step back.
And then she lunged.
Lilith lunged, catching Darkness off guard as she grabbed his arm and twisted it behind his back, shoving his face against the cold wall.
A low grunt left his lips, but he didn’t struggle.
She leaned in, her breath fanning against his ear, her body pressing against his broad back.
For a mont, she froze.
The scent of him a deep, musky, intoxicating mix of cedarwood and sothing darker wrapped around her senses. It was dangerous. Addicting.
Her fingers, once holding him firmly in place, loosened slightly.
Her free hand traveled lower, brushing against his waist before slipping under his suit shirt.
Her fingertips t firm, sculpted muscle.
Toned. Warm. Solid.
A shiver ran through her as she traced the outline of his defined abs, feeling the way his stomach tensed under her touch.
Darkness let out a low huff of amusent, his lips curling slightly even though his face was still pressed against the wall.
"Oh? Getting bold now, aren’t we?"
Lilith’s eyes narrowed, her fingers digging into his skin slightly.
"Shut up, Human Doll," she murmured, but her voice wasn’t as steady as she wanted it to be.
She hated this.
Hated that even when she had him pinned—
He still made her feel like she was the one losing control.
Darkness chuckled, low and deep, the vibration of it traveling through her fingertips.
"Sweetheart, if you wanted to touch , all you had to do was ask."
Lilith’s patience snapped.
Without hesitation, she grabbed the back of his head and shoved him harder against the wall.
"Do you ever shut up?" she hissed.
Darkness laughed, completely unfazed.
"Not when you’re this close to ."
Lilith dug her fingers into his scalp, gripping his hair with just enough force to make him hiss softly.
Her breath was warm against the back of his neck, but her voice was ice-cold.
"You think this is a joke, Human Doll?"
Darkness exhaled slowly, his lips curving into a smirk despite the position he was in.
"Sweetheart, if you wanted to punish , you should’ve said so earlier."
That was it.
Lilith slamd his body harder against the wall, her grip on his wrist tightening until she felt his muscles strain beneath her fingers.
A sharp exhale left his lips, but he didn’t resist.
Didn’t struggle.
Didn’t fight back.
And that pissed her off more.
She could feel the controlled power in his body. The way his muscles tensed, coiled, as if he was fully capable of breaking free—yet choosing not to.
Allowing her to hold him down.
Letting her believe she had control.
Her jaw clenched.
"You’re not struggling," she said darkly, her voice laced with sothing more dangerous than anger—sothing unspoken, sothing deeper.
Darkness chuckled, his body relaxed despite the force pressing him against the cold wall.
"Why would I?" His voice dropped, low, slow, taunting. "I like it when you’re rough with ."
Lilith’s grip on his hair tightened brutally, yanking his head back slightly.
His smirk widened.
She could feel his heartbeat beneath her palm, steady and unshaken.
He wasn’t afraid of her.
And that...that pissed her off even more.
She leaned in closer, her lips a re breath away from his ear, her voice turning into a deadly whisper.
"Maybe I should break you."
Darkness laughed.
Actually laughed.
"Oh, sweetheart... you think you can?"
Her patience snapped like a thread pulled too tight.
She let go of his wrist...only to grab his throat instead, her fingers pressing against his pulse, feeling the warmth of his skin beneath her palm.
For the first ti, his smirk flickered—just slightly.
His breath hitched for the faintest second, his Adam’s apple bobbing against her grip.
Lilith’s eyes darkened.
She squeezed.
Just enough to make him feel it.
Just enough to remind him—
Who was really in control.
Darkness’s pupils dilated, his smirk twisting into sothing darker, more sinister.
"Oh? Are you going to choke now?"
His voice was breathless. Amused. Daring.
"Do it, Lilith."
Lilith exhaled, her nails digging into his skin, her hold steady.
"I should kill you."
Darkness chuckled, his voice rasping slightly against her grip.
"Then do it."
Silence stretched between them, thick, heavy, dangerous.
Lilith leaned in closer, pressing her body against his.
"I should kill you," she repeated, her breath fanning against his cheek. "But I won’t."
